The property had a beautiful backyard view of mountains and was not located too far from the sights to see in Tucson. The host was easy to communicate with if necessary and the property was clean and comfortable.
Great home in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed looking at the views from the patio and wandering on the trails behind the property. Would stay here again!
This rental is fantastic! Safe, quiet neighborhood with lots of trails, stores and golf really close. Pretty quick and easy drive to Tucson which we did daily (visiting college kids). The best part of this house is the amenities and little things so we had everything we needed. The kitchen was stocked and perfect, definitely one of the best vrbos.
Tea Time starts with a comfortable setting with everything you need to feel at home, and finishes with a world-class view of the Catalina Mountains. So much to do nearby, and Pima County trails/Maeveen Behan walking trail right behind the property. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay for a winter in Tucson!

We had a wonderful 3-week stay at this rental home. The house was comfortable, well-cared for, and welcoming. Kelsey is a wonderful host in many ways. Her attentiveness and consistent communication surpassed our expectations. She always made sure everything was to our satisfaction. Some of our favorite aspects of the property are the patio and the beautiful nature reserve behind the house. Having that peaceful setting right outside was such a treat. We thoroughly enjoyed taking in the scenery and quiet surroundings - it added so much to the overall experience. After checking in, 2 small items needed attention. Kelsey responded promptly, having a handyman there quickly to take care of everything. Her attentiveness was very reassuring. The host's responsiveness made our stay easy, relaxing, and memorable. We would gladly stay again and would absolutely recommend this rental to others.
This was a very nice and tidy house with a fully equipped kitchen. Unfortunately we mainly used the house as a place to sleep as we were visiting relatives and we were out and about quite a bit. Good sized master bedroom/bathroom with a comfy bed. Would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful stay at Tea Time. The home was clean and comfortable with fantastic views. Everything we needed was provided. We were in the city without feeling like we were. The communication with the owners was quick and responsive. Highly recommend.

The view from the patio is really beautiful. The king bed was comfortable. Bathrooms are nice. House was clean.
The house met our needs, which were few on our trip, but it was a nice, quiet setting to come back to at the end of the day. Thank you!
We had a wonderful stay during the month of February. The home has everything you need. Bonuses included a garage parking space, a printer, extremely comfortable beds, and views each night of the sun on the mountains. I was a little concerned we would be a bit off the beaten path, but this is the best and quickest driving in the city, near I-10 and many wonderful restaurants.

I am sorry Frank I had no idea you were having trouble using the tv or connecting to the hi speed Wi-Fi we could have easily walked you through how to connect and I wish you would have had a chance to go check out the club it is really quit nice and my guests have really enjoy using it. Yes the no contact checkin does make check in more difficult but as you experienced we were available immediately to walk you through the process and get you right in.
This is a nice two bedroom property in a quiet gated neighborhood. It was very clean, the king bed was
comfortable, and the kitchen was adequate. Behind the property is a wonderful open space area that is great for hiking and mountain or gravel biking. Broken Tree and Quarry Pines golf courses are 5-10 minutes away. The views of the Catalina Mountains at sunset are amazing.

This is our second stay. Enjoyed the view and access from the backyard to the Maeveen Behan Desert Sanctuary...could occasionally hear coyotes in the distance at night. Quiet neighborhood. Clean. Beds comfortable. Traeger grill a plus. Enjoyed using the Community Center's Pickleball court and hot tub. Five minute drive to Crooked Tree golf course.
This is an outstanding property. We stayed 5 nights but think it would work well/spacious enough for a longer stay. Tea Time is well configured for allowing a guest to sleep while another may be in the kitchen or living room, quality furnishings, nicely decorated and an efficient, modern kitchen. Beds were comfortable and baths stylish. This property compares with a luxury suite at one of the high-end resorts, but larger and allowing more personal flexibility in most every way. The great back patio and mountain view is a true bonus. The only limitation are the streets' frequent speed bumps - common to many Tucson home developments. We would definitely consider returning.
Had a Great time at Ken's rental property! The home was very clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable with a memory foam topper, the kitchen had updated appliances and everything we needed. The home is very close to the shopping malls, stores and restaurants. The view of the mountains from the patio are stunning. Every day we would walk out the backyard gate and into the sanctuary. We would see all kinds of flowers, cactus, birds, hawks, rabbits and even a coyote walking on the golf course. There were all kinds of ducks in the pond. We will definitely come back again!!
We stayed at this vacation home for a week and were very happy with our choice. Communications with owner & host were good and they responded quickly to any questions. The house is in a gated community in a nice area of north Tucson. Instructions for entry were clear and the house was very clean and tidy when we checked in. The view from the back patio is of the Maeveen Behan Desert Sanctuary and the back gate gives access to hiking trails in the sanctuary. In the distance is Mt Kimball so the sunrises from the patio were really nice. A hummingbird feeder on the patio was frequently visited by hummingbirds and Gila Woodpeckers. There are several good restaurants within a short drive and even south Tucson was an easy 30 minutes away. The house was comfortable and served as a good base of operations for our trips to Saguaro National Park (east and west); Mt Lemmon; and the Tucson Gem and Mineral Shows.
The house is in a great location close to restaurants, golf, biking trails, shopping, and hiking. The house was well furnished and met our expectations. The garage has one half used by the owner. The other half has the garbage container storage and is a bit too small for our SUV with a bicycle rack. That wasn't a problem to us as the garage had sufficient room to store our bicycles and golf clubs. The back yard view is spectacular. We hiked in the desert preserve right out the gate of the back yard. Our applicable conversations with the owner and manager were great. It took us a bit to understand and navigate the fire stick app to the TV. We enjoyed our stay and will consider coming back again.

About the host
Hosted by Ken Lightcap
My partner and I own four properties we use for ourselves and share with others. One is in Tucson; two are in Oklahoma, one on the Illinois River and one on Lake Tenkiller; then, one on the beach in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. She and I are now both retired and enjoy traveling so we are fortunate in being able to enjoy our own homes but at the same time have rental income for seeing the world and discovering new locations for must have properties.
Why they chose this property
I arrived in Tucson (from Western Kansas) for my first engineering position just out of college. I was so taken back by the mystery of the desert and the majesty of the mountains. I started a family here but eventually moved cross country for a management position of a large construction company. However, I kept my home in Tucson knowing I would definitely return.
What makes this property unique
We started calling this “Tea Time” jokingly because of all the many “Tee Time” rentals for golfers in the area. Our “Tea Time” is unique in that it is so quiet and relaxing here…whether your wake-up beverage is tea or coffee, drinking it while watching the sunrise on the mountains is indescribable. You’ll then be ready for your day. Whether you are in need of retail therapy, fresh air or soaking up the Southwest culture, simply walk out the front door and you are literally only minutes from malls, the foothills, U of A campus, hiking and biking trails, downtown, and, of course, the many well known golf courses.
