Fully furnished 3,500 sf single story (two interior steps to bedroom wing), three bedroom (a king and two queens), three bath home with great room and gourmet kitchen, located on serene 1.25 acre lot in North Scottsdale. Step out the back door into a resort like setting with your own private pool (can be heated; see rules & policies), outdoor dining, views from the fenced yard into the open desert where you may see javelina, rabbits, quail, coyotes, bobcat, and other wildlife. Close to hiking, golf, cycling, with easy access to local shopping in Scottsdale, Carefree and Cave Creek. This home is a gem.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Remove personal items and remove leftover food and drinks
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
• House keys (2), garage door openers (2) and flashlight in the basket in the entry • A kitchen light is on/set low • Gass to the grill is “off” • Umbrellas are closed and secured with supplied ties
• Windows and doors are locked o ensure garage man door is unlocked so next guest can enter (test from garage side) o pool bath door should only have deadbolt locked • All blinds are closed
• Stove/Oven are off • Toilets aren’t “running” • Place used towels on the floor • Please let me know if anything has broken or doesn’t seem to be working properly. • Video cam near dining table is on
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Don't leave doors or garage open; please close the blinds to protect art. Don't walk barefoot; shake out shoes, keep clothes and bedding off floor.
Additional $250/30-day stay cleaning fee for 30+ day stays. Please don't try to adjust pool, cams and other network connected items; contact owner.
Pool at least 78° [10/15-4/15 by request to 78° at $50/day (+ taxes)]. Want it warmer, $15/degree/day fee (+ taxes) added to your booking. My cost.

A wonderful quiet neighborhood that lends itself peaceful morning walks. With a rural feeling, the home was a relatively short drive to high-end shopping and restaurants on North Scottsdale Drive. Lounging by pool in with your morning coffee was favorite activity. The home features large and well-equipped kitchen for at home cooking if you choose, with a Safeway just a mile away. We were visiting on golf buddy trip, but it was easy to drive and make all our tee times anywhere in the Metro-plex from here. The host was attentive via text messaging and provided excellent summary of check-in instructions prior to our arrivala, nd was accommodating with early access prior to the normal check-in time, which made easy to make our first afternoon tee time!

Great location for a vacation with friends. House was clean, spacious, kitchen was well-stocked, wi-fi was available. My favorite part was the backyard with the pool, it was perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning or unwinding at night, the views are amazing. Communication with the host was phenomenal. We had a wonderful long weekend in this lovely large family property. It was perfect for our family of 4. Plenty of room to relax, watch TV, make meals indoors but the true highlight is the gorgeous desert backyard and large pool! Perfect location in North Scottsdale to feel away in the desert while being so close to highway and all the city! Great covered garage to keep the car cool!

We loved every minute from the second we stepped foot into the beautiful haven outside of scottsdale. Our family loved the pool and the chance to relax and cook in their beautiful kitchen and outdoor patio. So close to the best MacDonald horse farm where we loved the horseback ride experience e. While having lived most of my life in California (Go bears!), I spent several years as a child on a working cattle ranch in Oregon. I'm a CPA/financial analyst by trade, virtual CFO, forensics expert, still working on a remote consultancy basis. After the kids got out on their own I've rekindled an interest in photography (as you'll see images scattered about), nature and the ancient peoples of the Southwest.

Why they chose this property

First and foremost this is a home. The main living area is bright and open with a wall of windows opening to the inviting patio and pool. The kitchen and its substantial granite countertops as well as custom dining table for eight are built for entertaining. The backyard with its beautiful landscaping draws one outside for dining, swimming, lounging or just enjoying the sights and sounds of the desert.

What makes this property unique

The property is close enough to downtown Scottsdale/Phoenix to be able to take advantage of what they have to offer. Yet, far enough north so as to be able to enjoy the open space and access to Carefree and Cave Creek to the north. Local activities include cycling, horseback riding (5 minutes south), hiking, golf, shopping and dining.
