Private Island Escape

Just a short ferry commute or private boat ride from the hustle and bustle of the mainland, you will find a place like no other at Hideaway Bay Beach Club. Tucked into the swaying palms and white sandy beaches of Little Gasparilla Island, sits a community with everything you are looking for to sit back, relax, and let all you cares go. A long stretch of private beach, sparkling blue pool, horseshoe court, kids play area, and BBQ pavilion are just a few of the amenities you are able to enjoy with the rental of this two bedroom, two bath villa which sleeps six and has been recently updated.

Our unit does not include a golf cart with the rental. However, you can contact Little Gasparilla Island Carts for information on renting a cart weekly. This island has NO commercial/retail facilities, please plan accordingly and bring all your grocery items with you from the mainland.

You do have the availability of a boat dock. These are available on a first come, first serve basis. There are approximately 30 slips available for boats 22 feet and less, for the use of the guests/owners of Hideaway.

Charming and cozy!

We very much enjoyed our stay! The condo was clean, had everything we needed and was cute and comfortable! The property manager was great with communication and very helpful with our first stay on the island! We will definitely recommend to our friends and family!

Clean. Hideaway is a nice condo option on LGI. Only recommendation is to have a power source option for guests who rent golf carts. Having a cart is the the best way to get around LGI.

Lovely locale disappointing space

Little Gasperillo Island is one our favorite places . We’ve always been dependent upon the water taxi, so we were thrilled by the ferry. Our unit was. Cramped and dark, far from the beach and the king bed was very soft. This island is paradise, but this condo was not

Unfortunate stay

This was my first time using vrbo and I was extremely disappointed. The owner had descent communication prior to arrival, but this all changed once check in came. I never received the welcome packet (supposed to 7 days prior) so didn’t even have the code to the front door! Had to call for this as I was wheeling my cart off the ferry. You need a code to park your car and there is a process for the ferry, I had nothing. There are also codes for pool and ice, these were lacking as well. I stayed with a family member who also rented on the island and thankfully was able to get parked and on the ferry as well as other necessary codes. The unit is nice, but there is a huge ac distribution issue. It does not work upstairs. I live in Florida (south of LGI), born and raised, and am familiar with the heat and also a 2 story home. It’s extremely hot upstairs, so hot that we didn’t even use it. We slept on the couch and bunked up on the king bed downstairs. The wifi wasn’t working. I am a student as well and have deadlines. There was a dogbed and crate that had dust on it for a few months stay. Although the rental says no pets, its actually only owners can bring pets (not mentioned on the listing). Im allergic, so this was a huge issue. The first day was spent trying to address these things with the owners, the following two were with vrbo as they stopped responding to me and the queries. I can understand if things go wrong or something may not be up to par for xyz reason, but these owners DO NOT CARE. They literally don’t care and wont even acknowledge a POSSIBLE problem. They will not fix it or even attempt to do anything. They simply will tell you that you can leave early if you want. I would never rent this unit again and sadly second guess vrbo rentals for future as this one was so problematic with no actions taken for ANYTHING. The island was nice, we were there with family and the beach days and nights were endless. It was just really frustrating and lack of just common decency to recognize that something MAY be wrong that was working the week prior. If you expect things to be dealt with, then this is not a rental for you. Sadly, I would NOT recommend this unit only due to the owners.

Great location!

We've stayed in many Hideaway condos. We loved this one for it's updated feel. The beds were comfy, and everything looked very clean. We bring our boat so being close to the dock made it easy to check on the boat at night and mornings. Also our kids loved being so close to the pool. Of course, the beach was just a short walk / cart ride away. We love coming to LGI and hope to stay at this condo again in the future!

Great beach getaway.

This was a long weekend getaway for my daughter's 9th birthday. We couldn't have asked for a better trip. Little Gasparilla Island, and Janet's property in particular, was perfect. As advertised, the location is secluded and quiet. There are no cars, but golf carts are available for rental, and I would highly recommend arranging for one as the winding sand paths are excellent for exploring and it's great to be able to tote a few things right up to the boardwalk beach access. LGI Carts was easy to contact, brought our cart right to the condo, and came back to pick it up at the end of our stay. The beach on LGI is pristine and bristling with shells and sharks teeth. The water is warm and clear, with a sand bar not too far from shore. Because the island is relatively sparsely populated, there were never more than 10 or so people there whenever we went. And those who were there were kind and friendly. As for the condo, it was so nice. Updated, modern, and extremely clean, this was the perfect place to just relax and unwind. The owner replied to all my inane questions quickly and personably, and her instructions for getting to the island, taking the ferry, checking in, and checking out were spot on. The condo is equipped with everything you need for your stay. Make sure to stock up on food for transport to the island since there are no restaurants or stores. That's easy to do since there's a grocery about a mile or so from the designated parking area near the ferry landing. As an aside, I mentioned to the owner that our visit was a celebration of my daughter's birthday and she (and her own daughter) left a present in the condo for mine. Very thoughtful and appreciated. We'll definitely be back.

Great stay!

This entire vacation was wonderful. This condo is on a nice quiet island. We brought our boat and had no problem mooring it at the many docks available. The condo was easy access to the boat/ferry and the pool, It’s actually the closest building so it cuts down on the walking. The beach was fabulous and the kids had a great time hunting for sharks teeth. The owner had great communication through email and text. We will definitely stay here again!

Amazing place to visit

This was better than expected and we had the best time. The place was beautiful and it was just like the pictures. It was very clean and the owner was quick to respond to any questions we had. The beach is very pretty and was quiet and never too many others around you. The only thing that we did not like about the island was the mosquitoes, they are awful. Definitely recommend spraying yourself with bug spray before walking out the door. Overall I recommend staying here and we will be coming back again.

Spring Getaway

This was our 9th year on the island and this was by far one of the nicest condos we've stayed in. This building was the furthest we've stayed away from the beach, but we actually liked the location and proximity to the ferry more than we anticipated. Communication was great with the owners, the condo was clean, and everything identified on the listing was accurate. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this condo to others!

Slice of paradise

We really enjoyed our stay at the condo. It was clean and beautifully decorated. It supplied most everything we needed. Our favorite space was the garage down below where a beautiful breeze blows on hot days. The beach is amazing and the Vibe of the island is peaceful and relaxing.

Perfect vacation!

This condo was perfect for us. It was located right by the pool and right by the dock to catch the ferry. It was spotless and decorated very cute. It had everything we needed so our stay was perfect! We will definitely be going back and stay at the same place!

Amazing unspoiled beach - fun adventure!

This remote, car-free island location was new to us, and it was exactly what we were hoping for. Everyone was super friendly, the ferry ride over was an adventure, the townhouse was exactly as described, comfortable, quite, and well equipped, and the beach with few people and tons of shells was spectacular.

Wonderful Property

We enjoyed a week in the condo which had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. We had a lot of trouble with the TV connections and finally gave up. The host did offer to assist, but difficult to figure out over the phone. The condo is decorated very nicely with cookware, towels, beds and furniture in excellent condition. We would definitely choose this condo again and truly enjoy the surrounding community.

We loved our stay and the property. The HBBC rental units were a clean and inviting area, and the island was an amazing getaway. We had never been, and we can’t wait to go back. Family retreat

We already enjoy our darts on the island! This property was perfect for our crew! It was nice being close toy the pool and dock. We are not a fan of not having a golf cart though. It’s a hassle and challenge getting all the young kids to walk to the beach while toting all the things!

Great private stay in paradise

A few friends and I stayed in this house for a weekend on LGI. The property is right near the ferry so getting settled was quite easy! The beach is about a 10-15 minute walk away and be prepared to not have access to a golf cart. Luckily we had other friends staying around the island that helped us get around but it was otherwise a little more difficult to explore other parts. The property had everything we needed and was spacious enough for our party of 3. Overall a great stay!

Amazing! Stay here!!

We had such an amazing time at this rental!!! I almost don’t want to write a review because I don’t want others to take away this slice of Heaven!!! The condo is so cute, clean, and well stocked. Beds were comfy too!!! The island is amazing! We met tons of local folks and they made us feel at home!! If you are looking for a beautiful, laid back vacation this is the place for you!!! Docks and were easy to access and the captain was helpful when needed. The condo had more than we thought it would and was one of the nicest in the Hideaway rentals that we were in this weekend! We love it so much we are looking into purchasing on this beautiful island. We saw dolphins, manatees and amazing sunsets from the beach. Failing to rent from here is a mistake! Thank you so much for a fantastic time. We will be back!

Secluded getaway

If you are looking to getaway an enjoy a pool and a beach.. this is the place to go. There are so many shells and shark teeth on the beach! The people on this island are all so nice and helpful! Our condo was so cute! Neighbors so friendly. We saw mantees and dolphins right at our dock. It was relaxing. The only thing that we didn't care so much for was the only way on and off the island was by ferry (or water taxi $$.. this is a no car island) we like to go and see everything we can and we had to plan around the ferry times. And if was to windy they wouldn't run. There are no stores/shops or restuarants/bar on this island.

Not likely to return

Very clean. Updates are nicely done. We stayed in unit A - nice pool very close. Advertised that beach was only a 2 or 3 minute walk. Actually a 6 to 7 minute walk (had to carry our chairs and beach gear as the unit had their golf carts locked up and not available to their guests) We managed by taking less amount than normal to beach. Was advised to call about golf cart rental - nothing available until our last day and owner promised to call and bring cart - never heard from him again. Suggestion - prop mgt team should inform renters to call cart rental ahead of arrival so you would have a way around to explore or just to go to the beach.

Great property with a beautiful remodel.

The unit was fantastic and perfect for our needs. The recent remodel is very well done, especially in the downstairs bathroom. Internet and satellite functionality was good which has not been the case in other units. The one drawback was that the owner’s golf carts were not available to renters and the island rentals are typically in pretty bad shape.

Why they chose this property

Although the island landscape has changed since Hurricane Ian struck, it is still a quiet, peaceful place with a lovely beach, and our favorite spot to relax and recharge. The friendly, laid-back vibe here is something you feel as soon as you arrive and step off the ferry (or your boat). Also, the vivid, brilliant sunsets can't be beat!
