This traditional chalet is ideally located just off Mountain Rd about 4 mi. from town center and 4 mi. from Stowe Mountain Resort just short distance on Edson Hill Rd across from Stowehof, south facing with beautiful view of sunrise. So close to ski resort, you can drive back to house for lunch if you like!
Drive up a private road to a home situated on the hill. Two fire places and a outdoor hot tub will relax any one after a long day on the slopes. Close to the rec path and recently landscaped backyard will make this home enjoyable any season of the year. From our backdoor you can access the Catamount X-C Ski Trail and Wiessner Woods across the road.
NOTICE - 4WD ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED to rent this property in WINTER - STEEP HILL!

We had a great stay in Stowe. We were two families of four and had plenty of room. The house is just a mile or two to the resort so it’s pretty much perfectly located. Hot tub was terrific and the house was nicely stocked. Lastly we had a big 7 inch snowfall during the day and asked the owner if they might be able to help with a plow service. It was done within 30 minutes of our request! Amazing service from the owner and that plow guy.

Everything was fantastic!! The hosts were very quick to reply with any questions or requests and were very friendly! The house was equipped with almost everything you could think of. We were able to use the hot tub, fire pit and enjoy the fire places inside. All the cooking essentials you would need to feed 10 plus people. Robes for the hot tub or shower. Easy access to the slopes or the shops/grocery! Would highly recommend this location and most likely stay again if we come back to stowe!

This house was perfect for our group. It had the best stocked kitchen that I’ve ever seen in a rental. The location was ideal for our ski trip as it was a short drive to the mountain. Jamie was very communicative throughout the entire process.

This home was the perfect spot for a friends’ getaway! It’s close to town yet feels wonderfully secluded in the woods. Stowe Family Wedding

Three branches of our family staying together for our oldest grandson’s wedding. We were able to enjoy four days of celebrations together. Family came from Massachusetts, Vermont, Colorado, Connecticut. Visits from family from Washington easily enjoyed by all. The kids enjoyed the hot tub . Very comfortable stay.

Very convenient location to hikes around Stowe area. Hot tub was very clean and easy to use and Solo fire pit was wonderful. Didn’t spend much time in home besides sleeping. Saw a bear and deer right outside the home. Great stay.

House is setup wonderfully for families with great bedrooms and a perfect living area on the first and second floors. The downstairs fireplace was the perfect spot to dry mounds of wet ski clothes every night!

Awesome house in the heart of Stowe

I take winter break every year with my family and two other families (6 adults and 6 kids). This house was perfect for our group and conveniently located near Stowe mountain and a lot of great restaurants and breweries. I highly recommend if you're looking for a stay in the area. The house is exactly as described, very clean, and well stocked. Jamie was super responsive to our questions and made some solid eating recommendations (Doc Ponds and Von Trapp). We had a blast and would love to come back and try it out over the summer for some hiking.

Cozy Chalet

Wonderful experience staying at this property . It was one of the cleanest rentals I’ve ever experienced . The kitchen was well stocked and very organized. I was surprised at all the paper supplies provided that I usually have to bring. The host was very responsive to all my questions. We had a snowstorm while there and there were plenty of shovels to clear the path to the hot tub which my family loved. If I had any suggestions it would to be have an additional couch on the second floor and a larger dining room table. You definitely need an 4 wheel drive as this house is at the top of an hill. We had a wonderful time and strongly recommend this rental.

One of best we've stayed in!

WOW, we were beyond impressed with the comfort, cleanliness & attention to detail in Chabot Haus. Communication was excellent (even grocery store recs), smooth arrival, everything was in working order, beds were very comfortable (multiple heating ones was nice!), so nicely decorated and labeled for ease. Our kids really enjoyed the hot tub, mini ping pong table, bumper pool, etc. We enjoyed the gas fireplaces, lovely view, cozy hang out space and well appointed kitchen including spices & more. We would definitely recommend and hope to come back. Thank you for a wonderful weekend. Easy checkout too!

Winter Ski Weekend

We had a wonderful trip to this beautiful Stowe home. It was perfect for our group, with lots of room to spread out. The house was very clean, well stocked with everything you could need, and very organized for guests. We really enjoyed soaking in the hot tub after a day on the slopes! We also enjoyed beautiful snowy hikes, with trails that are very close to the house.Jamie was a wonderful host checking in to confirm we arrived safely and had what we needed, and very responsive if we had a question. We really hope to go back again next year!
