Beaufort is a charming little historic NC town founded in 1709 which makes it the 3rd oldest in the state. Originally a Port of Entry and fishing village, Beaufort has a rich maritime history. The historic waterfront district along Taylor’s Creek offers visitors the opportunity to dine and shop while enjoying views of feral horses on Carrot Island and boats from all over the world at the Beaufort Docks. Water ferries transport visitors to nearby Cape Lookout and Shackleford Banks. There are historic and ghost tours available daily that provide a rich history of the area, and one of Blackbeard’s legendary homes is just around the corner from our vacation home! Tour the North Carolina Maritime Museum, the Beaufort Historic Site, and walk or bike the tree lined streets of the historic neighborhoods. There are fabulous restaurants by the waterfront to enjoy including annual events like the Food and Wine Weekend with winemakers and top chefs from around the world and the music festival. Whatever you decide to do, I am sure that you will find Beaufort as delightfully different as we do – and it's only 3 hours from Raleigh!
The home sleeps 12 and was built only a few years ago so has the amenities of a new home. We include bikes, a canoe, and other extras with the rental.

What a wonderful place to stay in Beaufort!! I highly recommend! We were hosting a leadership retreat and it was a perfect amount of space for everyone. Multiple people wanted to bring their families back because of how well it accommodated all of us. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we’ve ever experienced. Brad was responsive and kind and easy to work with. We so appreciate y’all’s hospitality.

We stayed at this wonderful house last year. We hope to stay at this house every year. It is excellent for our family. We love the Turtle theme. It is close to everything and very well appointed!
We know this house well as our friend rented it for a couple of months last year. It’s well equipped and BIG! Perfect for a couple of families to use as a jumping off point for exploring the wonderful town of Beaufort. We will certainly be back!
The location was perfect! We could easily launch our kayaks, paddle boards and small sailboat just one block from the home. The fenced backyard was perfect for our pup. And we were able to enjoy family time on the front patio. Dreaming of our next trip already!
