We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the amenities available from this property. It was very comfortable and cozy. The king beds were appreciated by all. It is a bit quirky but definitely worth the price and the location is close to almost everything.
We didn't actually have time to use the hot tub. The keurig didnt work, but the other coffe pot did. The house was big and beautiful and very comfortable.
Our family stayed at Timbers 2 for a week right before Christmas. It was perfect. The cabin layout was open and large. Hot tub was fabulous, and we set out on the porch and watched elk, huge elk walking in our front yard every morning. It was like something from a fairy tale book. Very relaxing. We will definitely be back.
This property is well maintained! And even when we had a slight snag with our code upon arrival, management was so courteous and quick to resolve the issue. Enjoyed the peaceful location and the hot tub each night was perfect in the mountain air!
Overall great experience. We headed here after my husband and I’s wedding for a couple days and it was the best getaway to the mountain air. The house was clean, host was amazing and let detailed descriptions of what needed to be done to leave, and the hot tub was an amazing touch! Will definitely be back.

Disliked: Check-in, location
Door code didn’t work when we arrived, thankfully the receptionist was able to provide a new code. We also, came home with bug bites on our bodies. Trying to determine if it was chiggers or bed bugs, either way the cabin needs to be sprayed as a precaution for the next guests.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at your cabin. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the hot tub. Thank you for letting us use your lovely place.
The cabin itself was fine overall. Another reviewer described it as “quirky,” and I think that’s accurate. It’s older, but appears to have been reasonably well cared for. There were plenty of utensils and cookware available, which we appreciated, but absolutely no basic cooking staples were provided, not even salt and pepper, so plan to bring everything you’ll need if you intend to cook.We also experienced the same Keurig issue mentioned in a previous review. At this point, it would make more sense to remove or replace unusable appliances rather than continue advertising them as amenities. The biggest downside for us was the bed. It had a plastic mattress cover that was extremely noisy and uncomfortable and really impacted our sleep quality. It made the bed feel much less comfortable than expected for a vacation rental. The cabin is also very dark inside, with minimal natural light and little opportunity to enjoy the scenery from indoors. The best view is from the front porch, though we found ourselves needing to wipe things down before sitting outside. The interior didn’t feel especially cozy or well appointed either. The large living room had smaller furniture spread far apart, along with random accent tables that made the space feel sparse rather than inviting. Overall, the stay was okay, but several comfort-related details kept it from feeling especially relaxing.
Great weekend in Ruidoso, we we're there for my birthday. Cabin was great we enjoyed our stay!
