Great if you came to stay in a scrap yard farm.

Let me just say the property manager is great, the home was beautiful on the inside but the property and my surroundings, you would have to see my pictures to believe it. I was in a scrapyard with trash and mangled up trailers that look like they have been in a tornado. The neighbor who lives there has 1000 animals and it was very disturbing. I was almost attacked by a turkey and goat before the goat started pooping beside me like a broke gumball machine. Everywhere you went there were animals. They wake up before the sun comes out. Our first night there the kids were terrified when looking out the window at all the commotion to find out that the mexican guy is teasing his 10+ dogs on the porch with a possum. How disturbing to watch him hang this possum over those dogs. I wish I had known what the property looked like. I never would have rented this and i think anyone considering to spend this much money on a vacation rental would not want to stay here. It should have been a $40 a night stay. The one outside picture on the website is deceiving. I have many pictures of this property and would like to share them.

The traveler is right that the property manager is great and the home is Very Beautiful on the inside. During this whole Covid slow down we took the opportunity and did undertake demolition of a metal building on the property which left some metal and wood scrap. Bookings started coming back very quickly after Memorial Day and caught us in the middle of this project. We have worked quickly to get everything cleaned up. The property is over 20 acres and contains several AirBnb, Vrbo only rentals for Parris Island Graduations and weekend travelers. As to the animals, there are several free range chickens, turkeys, rabbits, peacocks and ducks. There are not 10+ dogs and no goat either. This traveler has exaggerated the magnitude of the animals. To eliminate any future possibility for issue, we are moving the animals from the property. Our guests are very important to us and we want to make sure their stay is Awesome. We have had over 80 Amazing reviews on AirBnb and Vrbo and were caught a little off guard by this negative one but are using it as an opportunity to learn. It is also impossible to please everyone, but we are going to try. Thanks!!

The owner is great, good communication and very helpful. We were there for our Marines graduation super close to the base. Worth every penny.

We were "overbooked" so got a different property less than a week before our stay. IT was a DUMP.

This place had cocroaches, unfinished rooms, people working there every day, a turkey, 2 peacocks, chickens, roosters, dogs, a cat, a sheep and lots of junk around the property. We had to walk down a "path" that had broken glass, and dips and holes along the way. This place was only half as nice as it was listed. We really want a refund. Had we been able to find any other place, we would have left the second night. This place was a total dump, not to mention the workers there every day, when we asked them to leave, they said they do not work for us. The smells from the glue or whatever they were using gave us headaches, we could not nap due to the noise, and there was a razor blade left on the floor.

This guest unfortunately was double booked at our short term rental through VRBO. This has never happened before and was not their fault and definitely not our fault. We discovered the double booking and contacted the guest prior to her arrival. Since she was coming for a MCRD graduation and the whole town was booked and there were no other rooms available. In an effort to help her predicament, we offered her to stay in a home that we were finishing for VRBO rental. We explained that it was 90% finished and sent her pictures for her review. She decided to accept since her only other option was to cancel her original booking and have nowhere to stay. It was her choice and certainly we did not force her to stay. We did have some workers working while they were away at the base only in an effort to finish a 3rd bedroom for her use. The guest said she saw two (2) palmetto bugs which is not uncommon in the low country. Both were dead due to the monthly exterminator treatments. This is not concerning. She also fails to mention the $50 we spent for her when asked what she drinks she told us tequila so we bought her a nice bottle of tequila and margarita mix. Which she drank with no complaints and took the bottle home. Her husband and mother were much more appreciative to our efforts but this guest is clearly one that is not possible to please. We did everything in our power to provide her a nice and clean place to stay. Our home is definitely not a “dump”. Please look at our other properties and read our numerous 5* reviews. Our guests comfort is our primary concern. We really went above and beyond for this guest who obviously did not appreciate the extra effort. We could have just as easily cancelled her double booking and left her to her own devices with no where to go. We are sorry for her inconvenience and did offer her a refund for two of the three nights of her stay.

Incredible all around!

From the beginning to end of the renting process it was a breeze. Daniel is an absolutely incredible host and was excellent with communication. After some complications with VRBO, and to no fault of his own he quickly communicated and provided options to resolve the problem. Although we did not stay in this specific home, we stayed in another on the property and Daniel has truly done an incredible job with all of the renovations. I will absolutely be back!!
