Flawless mountain stay. Place was very well-stocked and exactly as described. No surprises, just solid all the way through. Would definitely stay here again in the future.
Great location away from town and abundant wildlife in area. The cabin was very clean and had plenty of amenities. Great place to relax with family and friends.
Really nice cabin in a fantastic location if you have a wedding at the Pines Ranch. Everything was clean and well maintained, we slept 6 people in the cabin easily.
The pictures of the property do not do it justice. You have snow-capped mountain top views. Very private with no close neighbors. Were able to see some incredible starry night views with the telescope that is provided. Easy hike up to the Rainbow Trail. Home was spacious, and we had everything we needed. Pete, the owner, was very helpful when a small fire a couple of streets over caused a temporary evacuation. The location is about an hour from the Royal Gorge and less than two hours from Colorado Springs. Both drives are breathtaking and worth the trip. Loved Westcliffe. The town was friendly. Great shops, food, and art. Highly recommend grabbing a burger from Chappy's. Stop by the art store near the Natural Food Store. Michael Arterburn's ceramic work is so unique! His wife is super friendly and helpful, and can guide you to shops, restaurants, and other places to see. We loved our stay here!
One of the most beautiful settings we have ever visited! Beautifully furnished, open plan cabin is truly magical and welcoming. You can wander up to a world class hiking trail from the back deck. Quiet and remote setting with the promised dark sky at night. Sunrise is spectacular! Home is as described.
The cabin was in great shape. The seating was just right; especially the reading area. The king bed provided a restful sleep. We spent time on the deck watching the hummingbirds and the occasional parade of wild turkeys through the meadow. We also took advantage of the nearby rainbow trail for hiking. Our stay was exactly what we had hoped it would be. Looking forward to a return visit.
We had a great week at the cabin, was able to hike out of the back yard in the San Isabel national forest, watched deer, rabbits, turkeys and grouse all around the cabin and jack rabbits and pronghorn in the fields on the drive to town from the cabin. I highly recommend this cabin
We enjoyed our stay very much, just as we have our past trips here and will be back. Clean, comfortable, all of the amenities and quiet with an awesome hiking trail behind the cabin.
Such a wonderful property! The setting was quiet and private, yet still close to town, which was worth a visit of its own. Having direct access to trailheads was so convenient and the house had everything we needed. Would stay here again!
