Exceptional Accommodations, nestled at the base of most beautiful mountainRange in the sweetest little town in Colorado! Comfortable, peaceful and thoughtfully assembled. We will be back to enjoy this wonderful home again-soon!
My Labrador and I had a Wonderful two month long stay at this beautiful house! The ranch style set up with easy access to backyard through both the laundry room and master bedroom was perfect for us. The house has beautiful decor and amazing artwork by local artists. The front door has an awesome latched door peep hole to open up for some fresh mountain air. I enjoyed coffee on front porch as well as on back patio with amazing views of prairie and mountains. I even spotted a huge jackrabbit one morning hopping through the field behind me. The parlor stove was super fun to use and Charley provided all the pine cones, kindling and firewood needed. Beds were comfy. Hot tub was awesome and set at perfect temp and excellent for stargazing at night!! Charley was a super host! I felt very well taken care of.
The host communicated very effectively with us before , during and after the stay. We appreciated his “checking” in. We had not experienced that in other VRBO rentals. The house was a perfect solution for our family- big open living room, dining area and kitchen. Hot tub was a hit as well. And, beautiful views!

Thanks for the great set of highlights - views & hot tub - of the property. We take a pulse a few times per stay to make sure all is well and guests are enjoying the property and area.
We had such a wonderful time celebrating Thanksgiving in this space. There is beautiful natural light in the living room, beautiful views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains, a cozy wood-burning stove, and lots of opportunities to stargaze in the hot tub at night. The kitchen is also incredibly well-stocked. We had everything we needed. Charley was so helpful and kind. Highly recommended!
Fantastic house with everything we needed. Views are great and the landscaping provided perfect shade and backyard privacy. Quiet location with easy access to unlimited outdoor opportunities.
Charley has a wonderful home. He was very communicative. We want to come back in the future because it was so nice and clean. The views are amazing. The fall colors were awesome!
This place was one of our most favorite VRBO’s ever. Our son and his 2 friends, who live in Denver, ran the Sangre de Cristo 50 mile race and this was a perfect spot that wasn’t too far from the trailhead. The location is great and close to town and hiking in the mountains. The views are crazy beautiful and the backyard is a bonus space! The house had everything we needed and more. We will definitely be back!
Great property and location. The house was comfortable, clean, and homey. Everything was well stocked, didn’t feel like we were missing anything. We enjoyed the hot tub and the yard. Host was very friendly. Would recommend.
Very clean and comfortable. Generously stocked pantry. Great communication with Charley. Location is close enough to all the good things Westcliffe offers, but in a quiet neighborhood that feels private.

Sara highlighted "privacy". Many of our friendly neighbors refer our property as the forest. Lots of mature trees male for a very private back patio where the hot tub is located.
Thanks, Sara/
The property and its amenities far exceeded expectations. It was a pleasant surprise to find the kitchen stocked with basic goods, and condiments. The wood burning stove was perfect and worked flawlessly. It even had a fire laid in it ready to be lit upon our arrival. My only complaints would be the doors not closing properly and blowing open if not FIRMLY shut. The hot tub was missing one of the seats jets, and was set on 80 upon our arrival. My wife also could not get the jets in the bathroom tub to work. I would stay here again, and likely will.
The house was perfect for us. We loved sitting outside on the porch and viewing the wonderful handiwork of God. We visited with all the neighbors as they walked by. Very quiet neighborhood and the house was nicely furnished and VERY clean. We will return on our next visit to Westcliffe. Charley was an amazing host.
Charley was a great host and checked in to make sure we had what we needed. The house is a 4 minute drive to town so the location is great! Family friendly and would definitely stay there again.
We were so impressed - the online pictures didn't convey the spaciousness of the open-concept living room/dining room/kitchen. The beds and linens were luxurious, the kitchen was extremely well-stocked, and the 'extras' were thoughtful and appreciated. The host was so kind to include a welcome gift that was so generous. But mostly the IMMEDIATE repsonse from the owner to our inquiry about replenishing the propane tank for the outdoor fire-pit was very helpful and almost unexpected to have that quick of a solution. Kudos in evey way and couldn't have had a better experience!
Home is a great design with enough amenities. Outside and around property is great if you love being outdoors. The owner does a great job trying to give you and your family a great setup.
After 25-years of fast-paced life in Denver, we decided to pursue our dream of going 'back west'. Having grown up in South Central Colorado, I had always dreamed of returning home. After settling into our new Westcliffe home I discovered an opportunity to combine my passion for hospitality and meeting new people. I try to greet every guest and have made many new friendships.
I am just 1 mile or a cell call away and tend to go over board in terms of creating a hassle free and relaxing experience for every guest
Why they chose this property
Westcliffe offers a beautiful combination of pristine mountain views, ranching and outdoor activities. Passively viewing or actively hiking, fishing or hunting, it's a fit for both the city-weary and outdoor enthusiasts.
From high-speed Internet to binoculars, most every need is anticipated. And as one guest said in her five-star rating, "even the garage is ridiculously clean". Many reviews cite a broad range of "special touches" or "thoughtfulness".
Another guest stated that "it's so quite that all I could hear was my thoughts...".
What makes this property unique
Named Tranquilo (Spanish for tranquility), this property provides a relaxing peaceful environment. Privacy and star gazing is enhanced by being over a hill from Westcliffe; yet town is a short walk away. The closest neighbor is 80 yards away on the outskirts of the Town of Westcliffe. So it's quiet, safe and peaceful... and a perfect place to see stars and the mountains.
The front patio is shaded and faces the Sangres. A private patio behind the house offers a hot tub, grill and fire pit.
Scenic Lake DeWeese is two turns and 6 miles to the north. A few miles beyond that is some of the finest fly fishing in Colorado along Grape Creek or a 30 minute drive to the Arkansas River.
