Villa Mabella is better than what is shown in the pictures

Villa Mabella is better than what is shown in the pictures. Ms. Carmen [the caretaker] was a pleasure to deal with and made our stay memorable. The views from the villa are majestic. I would recommend this place to anyone wishing for a perfect experience of the coast. You made this a very good experience. Would definitely use Summer in Italy on future bookings!

Surpassed our expectations.The views and the accommodations were excellent.Only comment would be to inform the guests about the stairs to the villa may be challenging on the way back up to the street.(Especially with luggage)Our host recommended some very valuable porters to assist with the luggage.

This villa is beautiful. We enjoyed the beautiful grounds and the view is spectacular. While the listing notes their are 90 steps it is important to know they are steep and you must be able to walk them. Once at the top about a 15 minute walk to town. Please be mindful if you are planning to have the concierge purchase groceries for your stay, we were shocked when we were given our bill and found items marked up double and sometimes more, than the prices in the local grocery store. We visited the local market several times and were familiar with the cost of items. Other than that situation, which was resolved, our stay at the property was amazing!

We had a wonderful stay at this spacious villa, perfect for our family of 10. The outdoor area, pool, and breathtaking views made the trip unforgettable. While the interior has some older-home quirks (slower drains, older appliances, squeaky doors, no window screens, firm beds), the beds were comfortable and the stunning views easily overshadowed these minor details. The house was very clean.Everything needed was provided, including bath and pool towels, paper towels, and a fully stocked kitchen. Bonus features included a laundry room and a brand-new outdoor restroom.Carmen was amazing! We used the outdoor pizza oven and had her arrange a pizza chef who made fresh pizzas (including an incredible Nutella dessert pizza) right in front of us. We also booked a private chef through her for a 4-course fresh seafood dinner. The table was beautifully set, the food was top-notch for all 10 of us, and they cleaned up afterward. Having the fridge stocked for arrival was a huge help.Note there are stairs to the car and market, typical for Scala/Ravello. A small price to pay for the tranquility and views. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Villa in a very cool corner of the world where road meets footpath and the old ideals of Italy still thrive. All sorts of things to do nearby from culinary to historical, to cultural, to a day at the beach. 'Fixer' Luigi, chef Lorenzo, Luca, and Mena all go above and beyond!

Villa Mabella is very beautiful and is even better in person. The Villa was very clean and the views were amazing. Luigi is the property manager and did a great job communicating with me during our stay. I would highly recommend staying there. Luca and the entire staff at Summer in Italy were wonderful to work with and helped me with our transportation, dinner and recreational activities. Everything was first class. Thank you

The villa was absolutely amazing

The villa was absolutely amazing! The views were stunning, the villa was beautiful and we were in the pool every day. Everything was spacious and we felt at home right away. During our stay, the couple times we had questions, communication was easy and we got responses very quickly. We would happily return in a heartbeat and hope we are able to soon.

Ravello Wedding

Oh my, the property is fantastic. The grounds, the pool, the outdoor grill and pizza oven, all awesome. We spent all our time outside. The views of Ravello and Amalfi were spectacular. Would highly recommend this property. The only downside, if you can call it that, was the walk up the stairs from the villa back up to the main road. Highly recommend using the burro service to take luggage back up at checkout. At €8 per bag, highly worth it.

Five couples stayed here

Five couples stayed here. Wonderful environment and wonderful accommodation. The villa with the swimming pool and all the other facilities made us feel like a king. Our host Mrs Pina cooked for us two nights and no one was betrayed by her food. The assistance we got from Lidia [the property manager] was unique and we enjoyed everything she recommended. Pina and Lidia, thank you very much for this week, it won't leave our memories for months. We will be back! All communication has been a pleasure and service as an example. We fully recommend Summer In Italy for their services.

This place could not be more perfect

This place could not be more perfect. There is a calm silence in the morning at Villa Mabella that is invigorating. The roosters crowing, the church bells ringing and the smell of lavender in the air. Mrs. Pina [the owner] and her staff are the quintessential hosts. Zucchini blossoms, arancini, delectable pasta fagioli and the most delightful tomato salad ever eaten are just some of the delicious food she served us. Her joy for life and her welcoming demeanor made this truly an unforgettable trip. The concierge, Marilena, helped us select the most wonderful restaurants and excursions, and was available to assist us before and during our entire time at the Amalfi Coast. She helped make this vacation extremely memorable. We had three generations gathering to celebrate milestones including one year, five year, twenty five year, and fifty year wedding anniversaries. It truly was an incredible getaway!

The villa itself is stunning, offering breathtaking views and all the comforts you could possibly desire for a luxurious and relaxing getaway. What truly elevated our experience, however, was the incredible support from the house manager, Luigi. He was an absolute lifesaver, always available and ready to assist with any question or request, no matter the time of day or night. His invaluable recommendations for local restaurants, hidden gems, and transportation made navigating Amalfi effortless and allowed us to truly immerse ourselves in the beauty of the coast. Luigi's dedication and warm hospitality made us feel truly cared for, and his assistance was a significant factor in making this trip so memorable. Villa Mabella was nothing short of magical

Villa Mabella was nothing short of magical. Every detail was perfect during our entire stay. The grounds of the villa were spectacular, with a garden maze for our two young children to run around, beautiful pool with plenty of lounge chairs, and multiple patios and terraces to sip coffee, enjoy the views, and just relax. Inside the villa was very, very clean, with cleaning service coming to visit multiple times during our stay. In-house washer was very convenient and easy to use. This villa was the perfect choice for our family for the week while attending a wedding in Ravello. Luca was very responsive to communications prior to the trip, and provided great resources in preparation to ensure every detail was met and exceeded. Marilena was a fabulous coordinator during our stay - from pre-delivering flowers to the villa upon arrival, to recommending and setting up chef Pina to come and cook for us two nights during our stay (every course was absolutely amazing and highly recommend this experience), to recommending our taxi in Scala to drive us wherever we wanted - we travelled often to Ravello (about 8 min) and also went to Amalfi (about 25 min) - amazing service, very responsive, very professional, safe, and well-priced when comparing to other services. Truly, everything leading up to and during our stay was absolutely magical. Every recommendation was spot on. Villa was meticulously cared for (flowers, grounds, interior linens, floors, kitchen, bathrooms, etc) which was really important to us. The pre-visit paperwork was very helpful to prepare for our stay (navigating there, what to expect, etc). You've got a great team there. All the details were very helpful, and was very easy to process, plan, and coordinate. Team was very responsive and professional. We decided to book with Summer In Italy based upon the villa that we found, and we actually recommended Summer In Italy web page to other family members who were looking for accommodations during the same time of travel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Villa Mabella is amazing, fabulous gardens, patios and other outdoor space. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Kitchen fairly small for a villa sleeping 10 but very well equipped. The barbecue area is lovely. Bathrooms plentiful and fine, bit dated. Loved the pool and of course the amazing view. Lots of steps to walk of the pizza and pasta. Everyone was really helpful and friendly.

The villa is perfectly situated in scenic Scala

The villa is perfectly situated in scenic Scala -- a short stroll to the small village downtown for groceries and sundries and a lovely hour’s walk downhill to Amalfi. Scenic overviews and a beautiful garden on the property, a lovely pool, gorgeous oven and outdoor space makes for a brilliant family and friends’ retreat. We plan to make this an annual visit! Summer in Italy is extremely responsive, professional, and a delight to work with!

It was the best. If I am ever back in the area with a group of friends or family, Villa Mabella is where I am staying. Everything ran smoothly with Summer In Italy. No complaints and trip was perfect.
