Scott and Jerry grew up in Enid, OK and have been childhood friends, then schoolmates, since the age of 4. Scott and his wife Sherry are retired and reside in NW Oklahoma. Jerry and Tracy reside in Central Oklahoma. Jerry works full-time as a fraud investigator and Tracy keeps busy working part-time for an attorney and as the Hospitality Manager for their vacation rentals!
Why they chose this property
We began discussing the possibility of purchasing a lake home during one of our annual trout fishing trips to Arkansas. The idea of having a house on a lake that we could share and enjoy was exciting. It also provided a couple of life-long friends (really more like brothers) a chance to spend more time together. We looked at houses on several lakes and the decision was settled when we stepped through the front door of this house and was immediately enthralled with the grand view of beautiful Lake Eufaula.
What makes this property unique
Our home sits on the shoreline where the view is priceless and the sensation therapeutic! In our opinion, we have the best view on the lake with stunning sunrises and mesmerizing moons reflecting off the still water. Having an island directly behind the house is an additional benefit adding to the view.
It is quiet, restful and we enjoy watching the birds on the water, an occasional bald eagle, deer roaming through the neighborhood and an occasional red fox behind the house.
The open and airy design provides plenty of space to accommodate large families but also has a very warm and cozy vibe for a romantic getaway. The master suite is perfect for couples or if mom and dad just need a quiet time together.
You can fish, swim, boat, play in the water, sit on the shore and relax, skip rocks, relax on the deck, or you can go inside and kick back and watch TV in front of the fireplace or relax in the sun room with a good book. The boat ramp is in the neighborhood and a kid's playground is only a few minutes drive.
