Escape to a private corner of Tuscany. Casalone is a 16th-century, restored stone farmhouse sleeping up to eight guests, set in 4.5 hectares of beautiful grounds, near Greve in Chianti.

Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and the Tuscan hills, the villa has a large infinity pool, sunny terrace, shady courtyard and lovely garden, all with panoramic views. The entire property, pool and grounds are exclusively yours throughout your stay, making Casalone a wonderful place to relax with family or friends.

Despite its secluded setting, Casalone is ideally placed for exploring Chianti and some of Tuscany's most beautiful towns, villages, medieval hamlets and vineyards.

OUTDOOR LIVING IN THE TUSCAN COUNTRYSIDE

Casalone is ideal for enjoying time outside. Here you can relax by the pool, find a quiet spot in the garden with a book, or savour long lunches and evening meals on the terrace overlooking the countryside.

The extensive private grounds include vines, olive trees and fruit trees. Guests are welcome to pick their own seasonal produce when available. We also provide our own extra-virgin olive oil, made from Casalone's olives - you'll find a bottle waiting for you in the kitchen.

The combination of space, privacy and views makes Casalone particularly special. There are no shared facilities and no other guests at the property.

A CHARACTERFUL TUSCAN HOME

Casalone has been carefully restored whilst retaining the character of its centuries-old origins, with traditional stone walls, terracotta floors, exposed beams and individually furnished rooms.

The villa sleeps up to eight guests in three bedrooms and an area with a sofa bed. It has plenty of space for everyone to relax, both together and separately. It is well equipped for a comfortable stay, with air conditioning, Wi-Fi and everything you need for cooking and dining at home.

As you would expect from a centuries-old Tuscan farmhouse, Casalone has an individual layout, steps, and changes of level. We've included floor plans in the photo gallery so you can see the arrangement of the rooms before booking.

EXPLORE CHIANTI AND TUSCANY

Casalone is close to Greve in Chianti, in the heart of the Chianti Classico wine region.

Spend your days discovering historic villages, visiting local wineries, enjoying lunches in family-run restaurants, or exploring some of Tuscany's most beautiful countryside (hiring an e-bike is a most enjoyable way to do this).

Florence and Siena can be visited on day trips, as can San Gimignano and many of the smaller towns and villages that make this part of Tuscany so rewarding to explore. Further afield, you can also visit Montepulciano and other famous sights in southern Tuscany, coastal Tuscany, and even hilltop towns in western Umbria.

If you prefer complete peace and privacy, that's absolutely fine too. The level of assistance you receive is entirely up to you.
