With days hovering in the high 90's and 100's, having this shaded and stunningly situated pool and delightful air conditioning inside, allowed us to be able to fully relax and enjoy the vacation we had planned for a whole year in advance. Transportation, groceries and meals at the villa were all arranged in advance with each event happening seamlessly.7 lifelong college friends celebrated a milestone birthday with outstanding success!!
This was such a great experience at an amazing property! Marinella was so helpful and welcoming! I would absolutely recommend anyone to stay at this villa!
Marinella was truly amazing and made our family's stay in Florence seamless and wonderful. She's responsive, personable, and knowledgeable. The property is about 15-20 from center of the city and a 1 hr to major sites like Pisa. This worked perfectly for our family and the the rooms were spacious and well situated to balance privacy and connection.
Amazing villa, great check in process. Rooms gorgeous, living space's very comfortable. We stayed with 2 families over Christmas, very cosy. A car is very useful to see neighbouring towns.
The property was ideal for 3 generations of family to enjoy. So many side trips in Tuscany. 2 hr by train to Rome. All enjoyed poking with Chef Alessio!
If you are looking for living in a spacious, clean villa with amazing garden views, this is the one to rent. We had our breakfast every morning on the terrace overlooking some beautiful Tuscan scenery. The rooms are all spacious and clean. We would definitely go back, loved it!
Perfection! Gorgeous property, extremely responsive and welcoming hosts. We had a small issue in the master bath and it was repaired within the hour. A Tuscan dream, and a perfect home base to explore the countryside or relax after a day in Florence - highly recommend!
The only thing better then our stay at this Villa was the host's organization, communication and obvious effort to insure our stay was epic....and it was! Checks all the boxes: location, AC worked flawlessly, cleanliness, daily housekeeping and of course the property itself is beautiful and majestic. On top of everything else, Vincenzo and Marinella (housekeeper and property manager-trip planner) are nothing short of incredible in their service to insure comfort and happiness. Bottom line: Awesome property, Awesome people.
The property was great. We used Tommisio the whole time to drive us. Great to be picked up and dropped off at property. Also had a recommended chef come in for a cooking class, which was wonderful. The owners provided us with great information prior to our arrival.
Absolutely one of the best we have had. Everyone was delighted in the villa and surroundings. Not really walkable with the little kids but we used taxiapp when we wanted to go to the city center. Marinella was fabulous, Guido brought groceries and wine. Even made lasagnas for our first night stay. The real kept the pool too cold to swim, but they typically do t heat it until late March. The house was very accommodating for 10 of us. Loved it.
My group of 8 family and friends really enjoyed our recent stay at Villa Le Fontanine! The villa is large and well appointed. Very clean and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. We loved the pool and the outdoor table with stunning views. The trip into Florence is easy. The villa is on a busy road, but you would never know when you are in the house, you hear no traffic noise. When we booked, we received a great Guest Information Book which had lots of information about the area and helped with booking day trips and a chef to come to the villa to cook dinner and to give us a cooking class.
We stayed two weeks for our joint 70th birthdays, with old friends the first week and family the second week. The villa is ideally located for sight-seeing in Florence or roamimg about Tuscany. It has a lovely setting in a small valley south of the Pitti Palace, with a country view from the covered patio. The bedrooms are pleasant with comfortable beds and individual bathrooms. The kitchen and dining room were well equipped. Our housekeeper came in most days and was very pleasant and unobtrusive.
We commented that Villa Fontanine was the perfect place to return after a day touring such a magnificent city and region in Italy.
The Villa was simply stunning. There were 8 of us and we all felt we had plenty of space. The pool was glorious and with the surrounding countryside it was just so peaceful and relaxing. The kitchen was great to cook in for our family dinners. The walk to the bus seemed longer than 1 mile but, once you got to the bus, it was a quick ride into the heart of Florence. We found the transit super easy to navigate, when compared to other places in Europe we have stayed, and so we were able to take day trips to Bologna, Pisa, Verona, Siena and San Gimignano. Marinella was super helpful and, had she not been around, we would not have been able to find a van to get us to the airport for our next flight without her help. We would definitely stay at the villa again if we came back to Florence.
This is a fabulous property, wish we could have spend more time. Beautiful area, the backyard is overlooking the valley with Tuscan hills. We found the location superb, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but close enough to get a taxi for 10 Euros to be within the city in 10 mins. Please do not walk to the main square, as the roads are narrow and the traffic is fast.
the host is exceptional, cleaning service comes every day, cleaning the pool every day.
The house is decorated very nicely with all the essentials in the kitchen. The bathrooms are updated with marble floors and walls. This reminded me of home. We will love to visit back and stay for 2 weeks here.
Thank you letting us stay at your house and making our stay memorable.
Overall, my family and I had a fantastic experience staying at Villa Le Fontaine. Marinella was great at recommending activities and many restaurants. Guido was also incredibly helpful with making sure we had groceries, and the entire cleaning team was wonderful. The room accommodations were also comfortable (everyone had their own bathroom) and we were very close to town! There were however a few things left out of the listing that we didn't find out until we arrived. For example, there are multiple properties under this management & we did have one person living above us. My family did not feel like it was a "private villa" as cars were in the driveway and whoever lived up above could see us at the pool if they were home. And there were last minute costs such as security deposit, tax per person and cleaning bill (all needed in euro) that we found out about 48 hours before arriving. These were not cheap costs so it would have been helpful if we had more notice. They did make the checkout process seamless, and deposit was paid back in full!

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback, we are really glad to read that you have had a fantastic experience staying at the villa, that you found the room accommodation to be comfortable and that you have enjoyed the location (being very close to town).
In regard to your specific points, we would like to address some of the things you experienced during your stay.
The villa is not under any multiple property management as it is directly managed by us, the owners. And it is indeed a private villa, as it features its own private swimming pool, own entrance gate, own gated parking and own private garden. So there is nobody else living there nor anybody that can watch the villa guests while at the pool, perhaps you are talking about our staff (who are sometimes on site) and very discreet. We value the privacy of our guests very much and we know how fundamentally important it is, so we make sure to have the utmost respect for our guests’ privacy at all times. Regarding the cars, again it can be that our staff temporarily parks their vehicles on site, while on duty. But it is still a private (gated) parking for our villa guests.
Lastly, at the time of the booking confirmation, you were informed about any extra fees, such as the security deposit or the city tax (which we are required to collect by the city of Florence). The email you received 8 days prior to your arrival was just a friendly reminder, but again we had actually informed you about any extra fees at the time of the booking confirmation (which was made in early 2023).
Thank you again for your feedback, we sincerely hope to welcome you back to the property in the nearest future!
The villa was so perfect - inside and out! Everything we needed was there and the property was gorgeous. Communication with manager was easy & they gave us all the information about the area we needed. Perfect place to stay!
The property was amazing, the rooms spacious and beautiful, the pool heated. We couldn't have asked for more. The property manager was super responsive and just great. Highly recommending this property.
The picture don’t do the property justice.
Alexandra was a delight to communicate with.
The booklet she supplied before you check in was exactly what we needed. It provides a slew of information for the neighborhood...like a variety of stores, cab companies, chefs...
I would not hesitate to rent from Alexandra again.
Beautiful villa with large doorways that overlook a classic Tuscan landscape, breathtaking views. All communications were easy and with prompt reply. This was my 50th birthday that I shared with 9 other adults and we were all comfortable with our accommodations although I will say the living room is a bit small but its ok as we spent most of our time outdoors. The location is perfect as its a quick taxi ride into Florence and a 6 min ride to grocery store. You could technically walk into Florence but as others have stated the road is not conducive to pedestrians. Taxis were easy to call and they spoke English. I highly recommend Hiring the driver Tomasso for airport transfers, Sienna & San Gimignano tour and Chianti wine tour which stopped at a quaint little trattoria for lunch in Pazzano where I had my favorite dish of the trip (spaghetti with fava beans, pecorino and mint). Also recommend Alessio's services. We did a drop off dinner with wine for our arrival night, a private dinner outside on my birthday and a pasta making class one afternoon. All the chefs were so lovely and the food was delicious. The kitchen is fully stocked and we ended up cooking dinner most nights because we were enjoying the villa and didn't want to leave to go into town for dinner although I wish we had gone at least once. The rooms were clean and well appointed, the pool was lovely and the grounds were spectacular. Having coffee and looking over the olive groves and seeing the other villas in the distance was a special sight that I will not forget. Highly recommended.
