Great house

We loved our stay in Kauai. The house was so perfect. It fit our family of 5 (3 teenagers) so well. The house was a great location. It was a short 3 min walk to the beach and great morning and evening walks in poipu. I loved the decor and all the artwork. It was so cozy and felt like home away from home. The outside area was done so well with the best pool, a girl we used almost every night and hot tub. There is a covered area too which was a nice break from the midday sun. I can’t say enough great things about this house, Kauai and poipu.

Poipu Perfection

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. We've been to Kauai numerous times, but have never appreciated a location more. Body bashing with the turtles at Brennecke's beach every morning and savoring the gorgeous sunsets every evening are experiences we'll always cherish.

NO A/C!

Overall a great property with friendly staff and managing procedures. However, lack of A/C at this price point and for this type of property was not acceptable. Did not give bad rating as it was my own fault for missing that in the listing. Great property otherwise but I would not stay again without A/C. Was not comfortable.

Great stay! Recommend, though hiccup with check-in

Overall, the property itself is beautiful! 2 things: First: in end of June, early July - it does get hot and muggy, there are only two areas that have AC - the bottom main living room and the master bedroom, the other rooms do not have AC...for us this was not a big deal, but the temperatures do feel tropical. Second: We had requested an early check-in if available, and when we went to the property 3 hours early, tired with a tired baby, the house had been fully cleaned, and special items we had requested had already been placed. We asked for the keys, but the front staff would not give it because the final inspection had not occurred. We inquired if they could ask as to when the inspection would occur, and the front of house made some comments about how they don't have the ability to communicate with housekeeping...which is obviously not true. When I raised that issue, there was some amount of low key arguing about how we were trying to cut the line and I should just wait my turn and they will let me know. Eventually, the manager asked the front receptionist to stop escalating, went to the back, and in five minutes, miraculously, the inspection had been completed and we were given the keys. Obviously...this was all avoidable.

We sincerely apologize for not being able to accommodate your early check-in request. We always strive to provide our guests with the honest truth about check-in times, which is standardly set at 4 pm. To avoid issues like this, especially when traveling with young ones, we recommend booking an extra night to ensure a smooth transition. There may have been some miscommunication as our housekeeping team is often out in the field and may not always have their phones handy during preparations is what I believe she meant. Additionally, both housekeeping and maintenance departments must complete their inspections before check-in. We've had instances where early check-ins led to larger issues due to incomplete inspections. To ensure you have an uninterrupted and amazing vacation, our staff will do their absolute best to accommodate your needs, but we cannot always guarantee early check-ins. We understand how tiring traveling with a young one can be, and we truly do our best to accommodate our guests. Thank you for your understanding and happy to hear that you enjoyed your condo during your stay. We hope the complimentary late check out assisted in comfort on your last day.

Perfect location!

This property was the perfect home for our family vacation. The location was ideal and the best part was waking up to sit on the patio and watch whales breaching right in front of us. Magical!

Wonderful Property!

This was my first VRBO experience and I was not disappointed! The home was a perfect lay-out for our 8 person group. The dining and living spaces were generously sized and very open. The kitchen was VERY well equipped with items like crockpot, vita-mix, instapot along with a plethora of utensils/pots/etc. There was even a large amount of basic spices. Having a private pool, hot tub and grill was super convenient. We really enjoyed having a private pool/hot tub and grill area. When we were at the home, we primarily lived outside where we were able to enjoy the water view along with whales, dolphins and Turtles from the comfort of our back yard. Property location was incredibly close to a local beach/shops and restaurants. We were worried a bit b/c the property does not have AC, but we found, during our stay, that it was a non-issue. The temperature in the home during the day and at night was comfortable, and I very much enjoyed sleeping with the windows open to hear the surf. Maybe at other times of year it could be a problem, but during our stay in February it was a non-issue. We had two small maintenance issues with the property during our stay which were addressed promptly and professionally by the property management company. All-in-all we were extremely happy with this property. If/when I have occasion to go back to Kauai, I would definitely rent this home again.
