Classic Lk Le Homme Dieu Cottage! Level sand beach!

Mary's place - This cottage will be the foundation of memories for years to come! This charming cabin has undergone a face lift and ready for your relaxing time on Lake Le Homme Dieu this spring and summer! Its not perfect but the memories are priceless!

4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, well stocked huge kitchen/dining room with a center island to seat all for meals, games and a few fish stories. Enjoy the breakfast porch, and the lakeside screened in porch. The bedrooms are complete with comfortable beds, fresh linens and fluffy towels. Full size refrigerator and all the comforts of home including dishwasher, washer and dryer right down to the Keurig and waffle maker! Ceiling fans to take in the lake breeze and central air just in case it heats up! Level to the lake, sugar sand beach and great fishing right off the dock! Lake amenities include the paddle boat, Maui mat, kayak, a small fishing boat, hammock and of course a campfire ring to relax and recall the day's events.

We are close by to assist you should you have any questions or special requests during your stay.

We are just minutes to Alexandria, Carlos State Park, Carlos Creek Winery, Golf and fine dining establishments such as Interlachen Inn, the Lure and Zorbaz.

We have a pontoon rental available just ask or we can arrange when you arrive.
There is a book on the counter for you when you arrive with more details and a check in sheet.

The WIFI instructions are available also for streaming.

Garbage is to be set out Monday evenings for early Tuesday pick up. Please let us know if you need assistance with this.

If weather is inclement, please make sure all water toys and chairs are secure.

Family get away

Great location, shore and view! Comfortable cabin with a lot of different areas to spread out in. Enjoyed fishing off the dock and playing in the lake with the grandkids. Other activities and dining are short drives away.

Great Family Vacation Home

This was the second time we stayed here for our family vacation and loved it just as much as the first. It’s a great location on one of the chain of lakes in Alexandria and is well equipped and spacious for our family to spread out and enjoy. The owners are responsive and have been wonderful to work with. We will likely rent again next year for our summer vacation.

We had the best time at this property - the location was great, sandy beach with clear water was beautiful, the house was comfortable for our family, there were toys and tons of things to do throughout the property and the hosts responded to our requests quickly every time. Beautiful place

Great space for larger groups, plenty of bedrooms and common areas. Awesome lake front. Host supplies most things you need for your stay, appliances, plates and etc, water toys, games, grill, much more. The house had great decor and made it feel inviting and relaxing. It is an older home and was updated nicely while keeping charm of original era of when it was built. The place was outwardly clean but could use a more thorough cleaning in between guest stays.

Charming Lake cottage experience

This house was great for a week at the lake. Lots of comfortable beds and bedding. The lake was Sandy and clean, tons of fish off the end of the dock. I do VRBO’s in this area every summer and this place was fully stocked with Paper products and all the extras, toys, games, water toys - much more than normal! Only complaint was the dishwasher and the house (being old) was creaky if ppl woke up early/ others were trying to sleep. Overall amazing and would definitely stay again.

Great Weekend Getaway

This property far exceeded our expectations. There was adequate space for gathering both inside and outside. The house was nice and updated but still managed to maintain it's charm. I was really impressed with how fully stocked the kitchen was including appliances like a waffle maker and crock pot and plenty of dishes. The lake access was also better than we expected. The water right off of shore was nice and shallow and clear of weeds. We were a little hesitant to stay anywhere in the midst of the COVID mess, but the place was very clean when we arrived and they even had placed hand sanitizer throughout the house. We will definitely look at staying here again.

Great Lake Home for Family of All Ages

This was a very well equipped vacation rental on a lovely lake in the Alexandria lake system. The kitchen has all the pots, pans, dishes, and silverware needed for a big group. It also had coffee, cooking spices, and the basics to do the job. The property also had all the lake toys we wanted from paddle boat, to paddle board, to water loungers and even a row boat. We rented the pontoon which was great for family rides and fishing. The beach was sandy and there was a great place to swim for our toddler. The home had plenty of space, great internet service, a three seasons porch and a huge space in the kitchen for us to sit down for dinner and spread out. We capped off most nights with a fire by the lake and smores. Finally, the owners were helpful, responsive, and very pleasant to work with.

Mary's Place was Simply WONDERFUL!

Mary's Place was perfect for our family. We've stayed in other VRBO's but Dave and Julie provided an exemplary environment with about everything we could have hoped for and beyond. Why they chose this property

We purchased this property from a family friend, the property has been in their family for 50+ years. It is our hope to preserve the nostalgia of the old time cottage and share that with our family, guests and their families.

What makes this property unique

We are centrally located on the chain of lakes here in Alexandria. You can travel to 3 lakes from the dock. We have event centers, golf, nature and biking trails and the Lake Carlos State Park just minutes away. You can go for a boat ride for dinner across the bay or across the lakes to Arrowwood. The cottage has the charm of days gone by and the comforts and conveniences of home. We hope that this will be your summer place for years to come!
