Acadia Cove Cabin is located in a secluded wooded setting on the shoreline of Somes Sound, the only fjord on the eastern coast of the US. Located on the border of Acadia National Park, this two-story ocean-front house sleeps up to 8 people and commands views of the Sound, nearby Norumbega, Sargent and Acadia Mountains, and a wooded shoreline and private cove. The cabin is centrally located on Mt. Desert Island with only a short drive to Southwest Harbor, Echo Lake, and Acadia National Park trails and sites. From your deck, watch sailboats and lobstermen at close range, launch your own kayak from the beautiful private shoreline, and enjoy the stunning combination of woods, water, wildlife and granite ledges.
This new house has a modern Salt Box design with a spacious living room and views of the ocean and mountains. There are two private bedrooms with queen beds, a large sleeping loft that has two single beds, and another queen bed in a semi-private area. There are 1.5 bathrooms, modern and new amenities including a large ocean view kitchen, washer and dryer, a large deck facing Somes Sound, private parking, and easy access to the shore in a secluded wooded setting.
7 Day Sunday check-in and Sunday check-out during peak summer weeks of June - Sept; flexibility for dates in April - May as well as October - November, with 4 night minimum.

This new house replaced an earlier vacation home. The property has been in our family since the 1880s and we are related to Cyrus Hall, for which Hall Quarry is named. We have another home on the 9 acre property (not visible from Acadia Cove Cabin) and a family member is usually nearby during the summer rental season.
