The cottage was a beautiful place! The kids loved the upstairs loft area and bedrooms and we enjoyed many family games around the dining room table. Morning coffee on the back porch enjoying the views was a favorite! We were close to many Acadia trails and sights. Loved our stay!
Great location close to the national park but far enough away that it's quiet and peaceful. Loved the deck with views of the sound. Kitchen was well appointed, we were able to cook a great lobster dinner, and the coffee machine with grinder was a great way to start our mornings.
Beautiful house on the quiet side of the island with a great water view! Very peaceful and quiet. Deer came right up to the deck two of the nights we were there!
This was a perfect holiday for our family with very comfortable rooms, efficient kitchen with ample supplies, and a quiet relaxing atmosphere. Our host and hostess kept us updated and we appreciated the convenience to the park as well as bar harbor.
The cottage was cute, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed seeing the deer in the backyard in the mornings. It’s the perfect location for visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We would definitely stay here again.
This quaint little cabin in the woods was perfect for our family. Some of my favorite times were the quiet mornings on the front porch watching the wildlife.
What an amazing way to spend a family vacation! We loved this gorgeous quaint cabin with views of Somes Sound. The cabin was clean but very warm. There is no A/C in typical Maine fashion, which made for a very warm but authentic cabin experience. There were plenty of box fans and it got cool enough at night with the windows open for sleeping. We actually woke up very cold at times. The location is perfectly situated 20 minutes from downtown Bar Harbor, very easy to get to by car and away from all the busy touristy crowds. Exactly the Maine experience we were hoping for. Even close enough to the Southwest harbor to enjoy Beal’s lobster pier and see the Bass Harbor lighthouse! The beds were comfortable, the shower was nice, towels were soft, and the adarondack chairs were perfect for drinking coffee and watching the sunrise. Would absolutely recommend!
This place was perfect for my sister and I to celebrate my mom’s 75th birthday. The three of us really enjoyed the space and view from the backyard as well as the convenient location to get around the island from Acadia, Southwest Harbor to Bar Harbor. The host had great communication and very helpful overall. Recommend staying here!
Our family enjoyed the stay, location was great, close drive to all the hikes/activities we wanted to do and away from busy bar harbor. The owner was very responsive and helpful. Would stay again if we venture back up to Maine.
The property didn’t have air-conditioning and it was during a heat wave. The house was over 100. You couldn’t even go into it until nighttime. Also, it reminds me of why I stopped using Verbo because you have to do all these cleaning steps before you leave the house what’s the point of paying a cleaning fee when you have to do a bunch of steps
