This was the most beautiful VRBO I’ve ever stayed at. Trinidad is a great small town, everything was close. There are two beaches a minute away to walk to. We liked watching the stars from the hot tub.Only thing- no washer/dryer, plan to have spare clean clothes. We traveled lightly.Would rebook this beautiful home over and over again!

Beaches everywhere!
Loved the beach in front and behind us. Easy to walk to both. Restaurant below the house which we walked to for breakfast and looked out at the bay. Beautiful sweet pea and queen Anne’s lace flowers everywhere. Super comfy bed, lovely stay. Rob made it easy!!
The view was amazing! We primarily did the Redwoods (40 min away), but liked coming back to this house and it's views. The town is cute, small and clean. If we came back to this region, we'd stay again.

Amazing Location | Comfortable Stay
We stayed in this house for a week to take in the redwoods and beaches. The location made all of it super convenient. It was a 20 min drive to the south edge of the Redwood parks. And there was plenty to do within walking distance of the house. The house was very comfortable for our family of four.
This was an amazing location- you can’t beat it. It’s comfortable, not luxury. Only room to sleep 5 - listing says 6. Bring your own cookware if you plan to cook. Otherwise pretty amazing views. Hot tub was great!

Shhhh!
I really don’t want to say how much we love staying at this seaside cottage in Trinidad, because it might draw other people…but I’ll go ahead: this is our favorite home away from home.
Well maintained, beautiful views, perfectly situated for peace, while at the same time close to a vibrant community slightly up the hill.
Love this place!
This little house is right on the water with an awesome view. The restaurant, shops, grocery store, multiple beaches, and trails are all within walking distance. You can tell the place is a bit older, but it was very clean. The host was very responsive and friendly. We had a great trip, enjoying both the coast and the Redwoods.
We booked the house for 4 nights as a home base to explore the Redwood parks and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The views were stunning! We loved waking up every morning to the beach views and loved being able to hear the waves crashing from the bedroom. The house felt very private and comfortable. Hot tub was great. Close proximity to several beaches was great. Highly recommended!
It is a beautiful home and has everything that only thing that wasnt accurate was it sasy it has a washer and dryer but there isnt! We have been traveling for many day before we got here and was wanting to wash our clothes

Surprising Lococation
When we followed directions to the home, we were shocked at the location of this home. The views of the beach, pier, and bay were incredible. Access to fishing, hiking, walking, tide pooling, and restaurant was superb. It wasn't the fanciest place, but had almost everything you would need. The hot tub would have been great if it was a little cleaner.
Letting someone know that there is active construction next door before it’s too late to cancel the booking is a must. There is also an ant issue. I had them crawling on me and in my luggage. The fact that you can’t get hot water to the kitchen sink in less than 5 minutes should also be disclosed before arrival. It’s such a waste of water to try to get it hot and using cold water the entire time is not enjoyable.

We’re truly sorry for the disruption you experienced with the construction next door. Ant activity can increase after rain, but another pest treatment has been scheduled. The plumbing issue is also being addressed to prevent long wait times. We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention and are committed to making future stays much smoother.
Beautiful location, awesome little town! Loved the hot tub! We wished there would have been a table and chairs as our family plays cards. I appreciated the cleanliness of the home. There was a bad ant problem, I found ant spray and that helped. Overall we had a nice time and would rent again!

Thank you for your feedback, Rita. We understand that cleanliness is of utmost importance and we deeply regret that the home was not up to your expectations upon arrival. This is certainly not the level of service we strive to provide to our valued guests. Rest assured, we have taken your comments seriously and have addressed the matter with our cleaning crew to ensure this is an isolated incident. We hope that you will give us another opportunity to provide you with a much-improved experience in the future.

My brother and I stayed at the house and what a wonderful time we had. We.visited in April and we were able to access the redwoods and all of the beautiful beaches within 30 minutes from the house easily. The hot tub was spectacular, especially in the late afternoon. The locals at the harbor and surrounding area where awesome and very friendly. The house is so close to everything and we walked all around. We walked to the beach, tide pools, and trails. The harbor was a nice surprise and would fully recommend a visit to the pier.
We love Trinidad, and this was the perfect house to spend a few nights enjoying the beach. Cute older house with character, love the simple decor and colors. Quick walk to the beach, can watch the boats and fishing at the pier from the deck. Everything is a quick walk or drive from the property. Love listening to the ocean and smelling the fresh ocean air from your deck, as well as the hot tub. Very comfortable inside, a nice place to eat meals. Only nitpicks is only decaf coffee provided for the Keurig, and the shower could use a new fixture. But we will definitely come back next time we are in town.

Long Weekend Getaway
Everything was more than we expected. This long weekend trip was planned to bring my mom back to visit her hometown, that she hasn't seen in over 30 years and where I grew up. My son has never been here and we loved the house and location. We slept with the windows open and listened to the sound of the waves each night. The local restaurants were so good, from pizza to claim chowder and the Italian Sodas. We enjoyed hiking at Trinidad Head and the views were amazing. The weather was beautiful, even though we were hoping for fog so my son could see it. We loved watching the sea gulls everyday and the sea grass was picturesque. I hope to visit again and also rent the cottage.

Beautiful view, could use some love though
My husband and I chose to stay at the Seascape Home for our 20th anniversary. We stayed for 3 night. The house has all the basic items in the kitchen, plenty of towels, and really comfortable beds and pillows. We enjoyed our stay but won't be going there again. The decor is cute but a bit dated. The windows overlooking the ocean have a seal failure and the moisture and dirt between the panes obstructs the view. The hot tub is really nice, but I felt like I was in a fish bowl. People walking up the road could see us in addition to houses up on the hill.

Response from VrboOwner on 9 Sept 2024
Thank you for staying with us, Jandy. We apologize for the issue with the window. This home is more exposed to the salt air, wind, and weather than a typical home, which could explain the condition of the window. We do have plans to replace the kitchen window very soon! This is not the most secluded home, though its position (about 200 feet up Trinidad Head), does help it to stand above and out of view of the public parking lots for the most part. We are sorry your experience here wasn't quite what you imagined. Thank you for sharing your feedback.
The location was wonderful but we ran into some issues. The proper keys were not in the lockbox so this involved a 30 minute call and an overall hassle after driving 8 1/2 hours to get to the property.
This was the most expensive house for us on our 12 day vacation so I believe some things need to be improved. The property needs to have a coded entrance instead of relying on keys. The front and back door locks were corroded from the salt air, the coffee cups were chipped and the shower door didn't close all the way. For the price, it's time to upgrade some of the little things that make a place truly wonderful.
