Mermaids' Rest is a sun-filled beach home centrally located along 30A in Seagrove Beach. It's neighborhood, Cassine Village, boasts some amazing amenities like 2 community pools, tennis courts, and wooded walking & nature trails.

The first floor of the home includes your main entertaining area, with the kitchen open to everything. There is convenient bedroom on this floor as well - perfect for those who don't want to deal with stairs. The front porch is welcoming, rain or shine – plenty of room for some fresh air, rest, and relaxation.

On the 2nd floor you'll find the other 3 bedrooms. The bunkroom setup is perfect for the kids in your group! The oversized master suite has a sitting area and a private covered porch. A great spot to enjoy a morning cup of coffee before you head out on a beach day.

Outside you'll find a gas grill for your BBQ cravings. And there is an outdoor shower to rinse off after your days at the beach.

Head west out of the neighborhood to Sweet Bay. Go south (left) on Robert Ellis and take this across 30A where it ends at your access, One Seagrove Place.

Cassine Gardens is a charming neighborhood in a natural setting. This property located in the heart of beautiful Seagrove Beach features on-site tennis courts, your choice of 2 pools, a nature trail through a native cypress forest, and a pond. Take a 5-minute walk along the bricked sidewalks to the pristine sands of the Emerald Coast. The kids can explore the nature trail or fish from the bridge over the community pond. And, they can enjoy their bikes along the quiet streets or the family can pedal to Seaside. There are 26 miles of trails along 30A. You’re only a short walk for a pizza at Brozinni Pizzeria or your favorite pasta dish at Angelina’s. Make reservations at Café Thirty-A for an upscale dining experience, or bike to Goatfeather’s Seafood for the catch of the day.

For towels you will receive: 1 body towel/1 washcloth per guest and 2 hand towels per bathroom, plus 2 washing machine pods.

Fantastic time with family!!

Only issue we had was the floors downstairs are so dirty your feet turn black, but I honestly think this is a battle at any beach house. With the battle of sand on the tile floors it’s almost impossible. They did have a well stocked kitchen and a grill. The neighborhood was super friendly as well. Parking is super easy, enough for 3 good sized vehicles. I would definitely rent the property again.

It was quaint and quiet, perfect for our family and in a great location. We biked all of 30A from here, and spent a lot of time in Seaside! We loved that the owners left a binder of all local recommendations and a guide of the area. The house was spacious with a good layout and equipped with everything we needed. We were able to walk or quickly bike to the beach!The downfall was the cleanliness of the house. It did not appeared properly cleaned at all. Our feet were black within an hour of entering the house and walking around. It felt there was a layer of grime on everything. There was a ton of very visible dust under the beds, there was hair in the showers and mold in the toilets. It took my husband 45 minutes to clean the grill before using. I ended up spending a day doing a full clean of the house before we were able to settle in.Aside from that, we had an Incredibly memorable trip and would definitely rent in Cassine Gardens again!

Fun time!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cassine Village is a beautiful quiet neighborhood. We stayed with another family, so the two rooms with king sized beds was nice. The walk to the beach was easy for 5 kids between the ages of 2-8. (We had our stroller wagon for the littlest). The house had everything we needed for a great beach trip. The kids loved the bunk room and the beds were comfortable. We skipped the beach one day and used the neighborhood pool, which was nice and clean. We cooked and prepped all but one meal, and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The pots must have been changed since the last review, because they were in good shape (only one had a lot of leaves scratches in the non-stick surface. We did bring our own knife, so I don’t know how sharp those were. Some rentals we have stayed in with previous companies have had basic spices left by previous renters, but there are none, so be sure to bring your own or add it to your grocery list. The outdoor shower had warm water, making it easier for the toddlers to get cleaned up after the beach. And it was nice having a beach chairs and some toys available to use with a wagon to load it all in!The washer and dryer were good enough. You just may need to run the dryer twice to make sure everything is all the way dry.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Mermaids’ Rest is in a great location. We love this area of Seagrove and this was our second time staying in Cassine Village. It is about an 8 minute walk to the beach access and is in a very quiet area, close to community pool and tennis courts. We had air conditioning problems throughout our whole stay. We had to contact benchmark multiple times about the issue and the temperature stayed 75 even after the unit was supposedly fixed. The air conditioner can’t manually be changed to below 72 degrees even if it would have worked our average temperature was 75 and one day went up to 85. The freezer also didn’t make ice at first and the fridge wasn’t cooling well until a few days into the trip. The house is as pictured and most of the house was clean except the floors were very dirty. Our feet were black within minutes of taking our shoes off. The downstairs mattress also needs to be replaced, it sags very bad in the middle. One last issue we had was with the TVs, they weren’t working and benchmark had to come out and reset them. Overall we had a great trip, but there were a few inconveniences throughout the week, especially the air conditioner.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The setup of the house is great. Loved that it was only two story, instead of three like we usually end up with for 4+ bedrooms. Love there was a bedroom on the first floor, but it’s a bit tight. Wish my parents could have had a king, but there was not enough room. Wonderful to have a shower out back, and you guys did great stocking up the Beach equipment. That was a nice surprise! Lots of chairs, boogie boards, and sand toys. We brought our own, but just so the next guest sees this. They have them. Great three bedrooms upstairs. The bathrooms need an update, and I do agree with previous guests, the cleaning wasn’t great when we got there. (Mostly the floors were still pretty dirty, I know sand is hard to get up, but our feet were really dirty day one). We had a broken coffee maker, but the management company was extremely responsive, and we had a new one within a few hours. Thank you! Pots and pans are rough, they need to be replaced when you can. The neighborhood was so peaceful and quaint. We loved sitting out on the porch in the evenings. Walk to the beach was a bit longer than we thought, BUT the beach access stairs were the BEST we ever have had down here! Only 17 steps!!! We counted because my mom just had her knee replaced this year, totally thought she’d have to skip the beach, but she was able to get down there! A bit crowded, condo right there at beach access, but pool was great. Very friendly people. Overall great trip. Thank you for sharing your home!

Home needs some TLC, though. Floors were extremely dirty (black dirt; not sand). Dishwasher smelled horrible when we opened it to load a few dishes so we could run it as we departed. Toilets had a lot of black crud up under the rim. Various minor repairs need to be made. We did not let any of these issues deter us from enjoying our stay, but this lovely home definitely needs a deep cleaning & better overall maintenance. I would recommend this property to a friend b/c it’s such a nice home in a great location—BUT ONLY IF this home first receives some TLC.
