THE BEST POSSIBLE LOCATION!!! In the heart of downtown Crested Butte, 50 feet from the main street, Elk Avenue and all the best retail and restaurants, and two blocks from the bus stop to Mount Crested Butte and the Mount Crested Butte Ski Area. With the best local coffee shop right next door, and across the street from the health food store and massage studios, this location cannot be beat! Just two blocks from almost every restaurant in town and GREAT people watching.
The nicest, two bedroom, two bath, rental home in town, a single family home, not a duplex or a townhouse. Historic building exquisitely renovated in 1993. Complete with 20-foot vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, two gas-log fireplaces, king memory foam matress in the downstairs bedroom and queen memory foam mattress in the upstairs bedroom, SUPER comfortable Tempurpedic queen sleeper sofa (no bars or springs), complete kitchen including Kitchen Aid and Bosch SS appliances and waffle iron, coffee maker, blender etc. There is also a washer and dryer, two-person jetted tub, and large tile steam shower. The entertainment center in the living room includes a 46' LED HDTV with a nine-speaker, surround-sound stereo system with volume controls in the master bedroom, master bath and outside patio. Also in the master bedroom is a 40' LED HDTV; the upstairs bedroom has a 32' LED HDTV.
There is a natural gas BBQ grill just outside your door and an outdoor heater on the large patio for those chilly summer nights or morning coffee on the patio!
There are two on-site parking spaces at the house.
You will not believe the contrast from the historic and famous exterior to the luxurious interior!
No pets allowed.

Gem in the heart of town! This house has quite possibly the best location in all of CB. Home was cozy, had everything you need and great art. Can’t wait to come back!

The license plate house is a perfect location for a couple or two couples to enjoy Crested Butte. House is very clean and has everything needed for a perfect spot. #1 Coffee house right next door if definitely a plus!
This location cannot be beat! The house was clean, well stocked, comfortable beds, and full of unique art/decor. We loved the coffee shop next door, small grocery store across the street, walk a couple blocks to the free town bus stop, and walk to all restaurants in town. We would gladly stay here again.
This was a very unique and neat property. The check in process was super easy, and the location right off of Elk Avenue could not have been more perfect!
Great location! The house was beautiful inside. Clean and location was great. Close proximity to Main Street in town and 2 block walk to the bus to the ski base. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well furnished. Would highly recommend!
This was our second stay in the license plate house and we will definitely make plans to return in the future. We enjoy the location in the middle of town with a short drive to ski slopes. The accommodations are comfortable and check in was seamless. 100 percent recommend!
This was our third stay here. The property is very comfortable and always nice and clean. The location is ideal for walking around town. Property manager is very responsive and a accommodating.
My family and I stayed at this property over New Years and it could not have been better. The location cannot be beat and we were able to walk to dinner and shops daily. There is even a coffee shop next door. It is a short drive or bus ride to the slopes for skiing. My family would def stay here again and are already looking to book another stay.
The house and location can't be beat! Roll out in the morning to grab delicious coffee next door, take advantage of the great market across the street, explore Elk Avenue shops, and have a short walk home from many restaurants. Oh, and it was super easy to drive up to the mountain for skiing.
Great location within walking distance to everything in town. House did not have a hot tub as I expected. Rather it had a two-person jetted tub in the bathroom.
It is a wonderful property! We enjoyed the kitchen and living room as well as the patio. It is ideal for walking to dinner and so close to morning coffee!
We were so excited to stay at this iconic location. We weren't quite sure what to expect, the pictures on VRBO were good...we walked into the most inviting and cozy home. Plenty of space for 4 adults. Very comfortable beds. The location is absolutely THE BEST! Camp4 right next door...you are in the heart of downtown. Easy access to everything. It was a fantastic visit!
