We had a great stay and the host ws quick to reply to a couple issues day 1. The property was clean and we loved the open floor plan on the 2nd floor with the kitchen, dining room, and den. The bathrooms were spacious. The kitchen well stocked with everything you need. We grilled steaks on the outdoor gas grill and made breakfast every day. Great coffee maker and gas range. We enjoyed the accommodations and would come back.

easy check in and great space, especially the upstairs living area ! We really enjoyed the communal space, the location and proximity to town. Recommend!
My family of 4 had a great stay here during spring break. Everything functioned well and there was plenty of room to spread out. The property is very well located, a few minutes’ walk to the main shuttle stop, the grocery store and the restaurants of Elk Avenue. All of that would have made it a great stay, but what made it truly special was how responsive and helpful Kim was. Our checked bags were badly delayed by the airline and only reached us toward the end of our trip. Kim stepped in and loaned us some key items that bridged the gap between arriving and shopping for replacement gear. Would highly recommend this nice unit and amazing host.
The Elk cottage was the perfect place for my family and me to stay for our visit to Crested Butte. It was clean, quiet, spacious and the location was fantastic. The townhouse is a short walk from the restaurants, bars and shops. It was also close to the bus stop to get up to the mountain and back for hiking and biking. We would stay will stay there again when we go back.
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. It was conveniently located and had all the amenities we needed. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable.
My husband and I enjoyed staying in this townhome during our stay for the Alley Loop! It is a very clean townhome, with a great steam shower, lovely living room, in a highly walkable part of town.
Staying 3 nights for Crested Butte Ultra. Convenient location a short walk to start line and downtown! Home is clean and well stocked. Beds were super comfortable with lots of extra pillows and blankets. Overall great stay and easy check-in/out.
The property has everything you need for a family get together. The location is great, everything in town is in walking distance. We rented Xcountry skiis and skied over to the trails directly from “home “. We went up to the mountain resort which is a short 10 minutes drive away. We had a wonderful stay.
This property is in a great location within walking distance to Elk Street. We had a few issues arise while at the property and the owner was quick to address them. Overall a great spot to kick off my boys' Christmas break.
We stayed for a long weekend for a family event. House was within walking distance of everything. Kitchen was great. House was super clean. We had four adults and one teenager and we had more than enough room for everyone to stay comfortably.
Shorter 4 night stay during the summer. The walk to Elk street restaurants and shops is very reasonable, about 5 plus minutes depending on where you're going, we actually liked the walk. The main area to live in here is the second floor with the kitchen and seating. It is a very bright inviting space with a nice area to sit and gather with friends/family in the evening. The main bedroooms are on the first floor, both with their own bath. It is set up well with storage and places to put your gear while traveling. It is not an amazing property, but it is very nice, clean, and felt comfortable. I would definitely rent here again.
This house is comfortable and very close to town. A great park close by for the kids. There were a few issues but the owners were very responsive. We had 3 adults trying to work remotely and the internet was difficult but that was not likely the owner’s fault. Overall a good spot for a family.

I wish we would have earned 5 stars for you. The internet outage did occur in the entire valley. Our little mountain town does not have redundancy, unfortunately. We tried to be very quick to help when you couldn't unlock the door and accidentally knocked down the shower curtain. I hope you enjoyed your stay and we can do better if you come again!
We're from the front range of CO and needed to get away, and absolutely love CB. We decided to just do a mellow new years eve celebration and visit friends in town.
This is a great place to stay, centrally located. Even though its a duplex of sorts, the place itself is roomy and private, and feels like its own.
Its really nice, love the heated floors too!
We had such a wonderful time over the Christmas holiday! The house was amazing, perfectly comfortable for our family (6 adults). The kitchen had everything we needed, bedrooms were all very comfortable. Kim was absolutely great to communicate with! We enjoyed being so close to walk down Elk St, catch the shuttle to the mountain, and walk to the market!! Highly recommend Frank’s Deli (near the market)! We will definitely be back!!
We had a wonderful stay at the Elk Cottage. It was mostly as the pictures describe, with the exception of the back patio fire pit, basically there wasn't one. The upper deck was lovely and the living area very comfortable. There is a washer and dryer, we had a bit of trouble with the spin cycle on the washer, it might just need a check up. The entrance is at the side of the house and there are renters in the front part of the house. The house is very private and we only saw the neighbors once. We brought our dog and he had a bit of trouble navigating steps up to the house, they are metal for catching snow and can hurt the paws. Overall, a lovely, comfortable stay in a great location in an amazing little town.
The property is centrally located, has a well apportioned kitchen, and a nice living area to hang out. Great nearby walking paths for walking your dog! Getting in and out was very simple which we appreciated. Heating is via heated floors which was quite nice.
Areas for improvement:
The bedding arrangement is not ideal. No king beds and one room has two twins.
Lightbulbs throughout the unit were a mix or warm light and white light. Odd and jarring.
Showers were not as clean as we would have liked. Shower caddies included.
Outdoor furniture is worn and could use replacement.
All this said we really enjoyed our stay and felt the unit was great for two couples and our furry friends. Thank you!

Thank you for the feedback. All outdoor cushions on the sofa sectional are brand new, and were only a few weeks old during your stay. Hopefully, people can reference the pictures and decide if they are already worn as it seems impossible. I added floor lamps in bedrooms due to a suggestion for more light, and they are brighter than the side lamps. This isn't the case "throughout the house." I think the only way to solve this for all guests would be for those who want more light to turn them on and for those who find it "jarring" to leave them off and use the table lamps only. I'll bring the shower to our cleaner's attention as this is the first review in over 80 to mention any cleaning issue of any kind. We don't have "caddies", in one shower there is a wire cage to hold containers, and water runs right through it. In the other, there isn't anything.
The description of beds is clear; there are a queen, two twins and a full. Again, different guests like different arrangements, and we try to make everyone happy as I hope you were!
Our family stayed here for a week and loved the house and location! The house is stocked with plenty of essentials in the kitchen and has room to spread out. It is very close to Elk street (Crested Butte’s Main Street) which makes it easy to walk to restaurants. Even my 91 year old Dad walked to coffee every morning and dinner in the evening. We loved our stay and the convenience this home offered! Thank you!
This little gem is in the heart of it all! Steps from the Art Center, grocery and free shuttle. One block to historic Elk Avenue. Wonderful porches to enjoy your morning coffee or an afternoon nap! Owners Kim and Pete go out of their way to assure all your travel needs are met...the icing on the cake!
We loved everything about our stay! It’s an easy walk to the central town. There was a park a block away to run our dog. The house was beautifully kept and had all the amenities we needed!
We enjoyed our family spring break trip to Crested Butte. The property is comfortable and well maintained. It is located close to Elk Avenue and the free shuttle to the ski area. The kitchen offers everything needed to prepare meals for the family. This is a great property within walking distance of shops and restaurants.
Fantastic kid friendly house right near downtown. The week between Christmas and New Years was great to be there, everything was walking distance, and there were plenty of toys for the kids.
