Privacy with sea breezes and beach side views

Our orange coloured Faro (means Lighthouse) Suite is an individual casa that stands out like a beacon at La Esquina Perezosa. Two stories of indoor living (1,200 square feet) with a 360-degree rooftop deck that has unparalleled views of the inland lush jungle and the ocean. Sea breezes keep the rooms cool and fresh in this charming and private retreat -- in a quiet and safe neighbourhood. The kitchen level connects to a second outdoor patio as well that has been recently refurnished. Long-term rentals here are 30+ days.

The Faro Suite is accessed through the main floor of the property and up a charming set of stairs. The main floor also provides access to a locked storage bodega for the entire property and our trusted house manager, maintenance and housekeeper. Your suite has secure, and different locks from the main floor entrance.

Please also note that the spiral staircase to the rooftop deck require careful attention, but it's worth it once you get up there!

NEW remote working options. There is a work appropriate sideboard in the kitchen and a folding table and desk chair can be provided for use on the bedroom level upon asking.

NEW redecorated master bedroom with King size bed (or two twins) with new 100% cotton 300 thread count bed linens and plush bath towels.

NEW self-laundry access at the neighbouring house can be arranged for additional, small monthly fee.

NEW addition kitchen amenities, new pots and pans, new high quality cutlery and dishes and a giant, full size fridge and freezer.

During certain times of the year, we recommend insect repellent for 'no-see-um' bug bites that can sometimes occur on the public beach and any stray mosquitos or the like.

April 2025 - new fiber internet and wifi service. This service is less susceptible to outages than the previous Telmex service.

Location was great however the place was in need of repairs

We booked for 35 days but only stayed 10 because of the mold that was throughout the place.

Fern and Don attempted over multiple days to bully us into reducing their rental cost or upgrading their suite. They claimed dried silicon caulking was fungus and a green patch outside from recent dripping rain was "mold". Don had the flu but he refused to see a doctor, claiming the house was making him sick in order to get a better deal. (I also had the flu at that time.) After 10 days of high-maintenance behaviour I asked them to leave and reported them to VRBO. However, they continued to visit the property every day because friends were staying in the adjanct suite. Afterwards, Fern attempted to get a full refund by threatening us with slander and texting my husband's private number. VRBO had to intervene for her to stop bullying us.

Casita naranga La Peñita - orange house La Peñita

Great little property and a fantastic location. Needs a little TLC but from what I understand that will be happening in the summer of 2024. It has everything you need to stay for either long term or short term stays. My recommendations: an oven or outdoor grill would assist for cooking, upgrade the toaster oven to something bigger and more efficient, try to work on the pressure / Hot water system to the third floor shower.

Good for a couple. Great patio and deck, nice big bedroom on upper level. Good location to beach and walking into town for groceries/ restaurants. Some great restaurants close by and convience markets. Mobility should be a consideration as there are different levels and stairs narrow. May be some new construction nearby in the future. Would recommend to bring some spices and supplies from home.

A beautiful home in a perfect location

The Faro house is a remarkable home with exquisite views of the ocean, mountains and town. The bed is very comfortable, and the living room couch also makes into a lovely queen size bed, on a separate floor from the main bedroom, with its own half bath. The kitchen has everything we need, with a breakfast bar for 2, and ample seating on the adjoining patio, for more to sit down for a meal. Just outside the door is the beautiful blue ocean. How lovely, to swim and sun each day right outside our vacation rental! It’s a short walk to shops and restaurants, through a town that is charming and quiet, compared to nearby Guayabitos.Host Jennifer and House Manager Ana are lovely to work with. Attentive to our needs and genuinely welcoming. Love this place. We will back next year!
