Villa Cypress is a charming retreat with spectacular views over the sea to Ithaca, Lefkas and islands beyond.
Tucked away at the end of a country lane in the small village of Konidarata, a short drive takes you to Fiskardo harbour with restaurants, cafes and shops. A number of beautiful beaches are within an easy drive. There are traditional inland tavernas to explore together with local well stocked supermarkets a five minute car or taxi ride away.

The villa overlooks hillsides dotted with cypress and olive trees and the peacefulness is occasionally interrupted by the sound of sheep or goat bells as they wander below. Stunning sunrises over Ithaca are certainly worth an early morning rise. While away time watching the many boats criss-crossing the sparkling blue sea.

On entering the villa there is an open plan lounge with comfy sofas, a well stocked bookcase, access to a bathroom room/wet room and dining area and kitchen. Patio doors lead out to the pool, terraces and pretty gardens.

The ground floor has an en suite bedroom with king size bed, patio doors to the pool and terrace.

From the lounge, stairs take you to a double bedroom with king size bed and patio doors leading to a large balcony with table and chairs. Next door is a twin bedroom. A bathroom with shower is also on this floor.

Each bedroom has beautiful traditional Kefalonian wooden ceilings, stunning views of the sea, islands and surrounding countryside as you open the honey-coloured traditional shutters.

The rear terrace overlooks a traditional stone walled garden with fruit trees and captures the evening sun. Or find a shady spot under the large old olive tree to turn a few pages of a book. The comfortable sunbeds are easy to move around and a gas barbecue is perfect to rustle up favourite dishes.

A wonderful stay

This is such a peaceful place with amazing views. The villa had everything we needed and the pool was great. It’s the perfect place to unwind and watch the swooping swallows or listen to the goat bells and watch them as they amble across the hillside. A car is a must and we enjoyed driving across the island to explore Assos and Fiskardo. Lovely food and wine. We’ll be back!

Absolutely loved this place

What a fantastic holiday we had. Bob, our host, was easy to deal with and very responsive to emails. He very kindly sorted our car hire out too. The villa was in a fantastic location with a superb taverna at the end of the road. The villa was close to Fiskardo and in easy reach of Assos and other beautiful bays. It was very clean with amazing views and facilities. We miss it already and would love to return.

The location of Cyprus Villa is amazing. The view of the sun rising over Ithaki was one of the most beautiful images ever. The property was perfect, the beds comfortable, with each bedroom with its own special character. Clean and with everything you could need for your stay. The outdoor area is superb, pool a prefect size for fun and the outdoor furniture great for relaxing. Perfectly placed for exploring the island and popping down to Fiskardo for an evening meal. This is an amazing villa. Bob was very helpful during the booking process and answered all our questions. We would very much recommend this as a place for an amazing holiday. Everyone was very welcoming and the island was beautiful. This lovely villa with its amazing views helped create our amazing holiday .

A great property if you’re looking for a very peaceful spot to relax. Easy access to various shops, beaches and Fiskado is also very close, although a car is a must as everything requires a short drive given the property is quite isolated. We thoroughly recommend Jerusalem beach for the super beach and Odysseus Taverna. Points to note are that the cleaner comes in midweek which we didn’t think was necessary and the pool man visited three times and at 8.20 on our last morning which again wasn’t ideal. Also make sure you bring beach towels as there weren’t many (2!) at the Villa. Overall a very relaxing week indeed. Super hot!

Home away from home

Can’t fault this property at all! The indoor outdoor flow is perfect. The views are wonderful. The herds of goats with their bells walking in front the house everyday are a perfect touch on top! Beds are comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need in terms of cooking and drinking. Super clean with mid cleaning done as well. We stayed here with our 4 children and didn’t once feel like we were on top of each other. Lots of room and space for all. Great location as close to Fiscardo but not close enough to experience any noise. Only slight annoyance is having to buy everything for the kitchen, from salt and pepper to washing up liquid etc. We’ve stayed in many villas before and they let you leave what you’ve bought for the next people. Super handy when you arrive with the basics but then realise you also need to go get some salt or oil. Overall we were really happy. Secure. Comfortable. Lovely views. Quiet. Would happily stay here again and again!

Un leiu de séjour magnifique

La maison est bien conçue, très propre et bien équipée. Sans voisins. La piscine est idéale pour une famille avec des enfants. La vue sur Ithaque Lefkada et la mer est magnifique. Le service est tres attentionné (nous avons fait appel à eux pour régler plusieurs points -par exemple un air conditionné défectueux dans une pièce) et cela a été résolu rapidement. Le ménage régulier est tres appréciable. On peut faire les courses à deux pas dans le hameau près de la grande route. Il y a beaucoup de belles plages (plages de galets) à moins de trente minutes. Seul bémol: il y avait beaucoup de guêpes pendant notre sejour, en pleine nature cela arrive. Cela pourrait être un problème pour de très jeunes enfants. Pour nous cela n’a pas affecté le bonheur d’être dans cet endroit.

A fantastic villa that ticked all of our boxes as a family of 5!

The Villa was perfect for our family and all our holiday needs! Our 3 boys LOVED the swimming pool and we really enjoyed the views the Villa offered us. The villa was immaculate and we were very comfortable there. It’s well located in very peaceful area, we didn’t feel like we were disturbing anyone with our children’s noise either. The local supermarket met all of our basic needs and we were only a short drive away from restaurants and slightly bigger supermarkets. We’d definitely like to visit again.

Lovely villa, stunning views, tranquil setting

Our booking and stay at this wonderful location went seamlessly and we enjoyed every minute! Bob was more than helpful during the booking process and very accommodating with regard to hiring cars and providing info on the locality. The two cars were waiting for us at the airport (Akis, the car hire man, even led us out of the airport area and put us on the right road towards the villa...late at night!). On waking the next morning, the stunning uninterrupted view from Villa Cypress, across the sea towards the island of Ithaca, took our breath away...in fact, this happened repeatedly every morning, when walking out on to the terrace! Marilena (the local property manager) had kindly offered to do a shop for us in the local supermarket before we arrived (a basic welcome pack is included, but we wanted a little more - nothing was too much trouble), and we paid for this in the shop during our stay. We didn't plan too much out and about, as the villa was so lovely - it covered all our needs. We took with us our two twenty-something daughters plus one boyfriend, and also their 75-year old grandmother, and this villa suited everyone. The pool was a perfect temperature - good for cooling down, but warm enough for my wimpy husband (and the pool man came twice during our week's stay to clean it). The villa was large enough for the six of us, air-conditioned (a must), and well-stocked. No complaints from the kids re Wifi and TV, so both obviously worked very well! The local village store in the village stocked everything, fresh fruit/veg, wine, fish, bread, toiletries, etc. Fiscardo, a 10-15 minute drive, is a beautiful quaint harbour with great restaurants, bars and shopping....although not the cheapest on the island, but delightful all the same. We hired a boat and very personable skipper (Panos) for the day, who took us around the most beautiful beaches and waters of Ithaca. I would definitely recommend the overall HomeAway holiday experience - from booking right through to our stay - and we hope to return! Thank you.

Lovely well equipped villa with stunning views

The villa is beautiful with breath taking views. Short walk to mini Mart with very helpful staff and good produce. The house was in very good conditions, spotlossly clean, with beautiful pool and terrace. With several lovely beaches with in a few minutes drive. Highly recommend. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦👬😁

Lovely villa in fantastic location on beautiful Cephalonia

The property is well-located in the north part of the island, 10 minutes drive from Fiskardo, which is a lovely town with a large harbour and plenty of attractive shops, cafes and restaurants. Nearby there are several beaches, usually with tavernas. Slightly further away is Assos, a coastal village in a beautiful setting. The villa is very comfortable, excellently-appointed, both inside and out, and spacious - the owners provide good instructions of how-to-get-there and local facilities. The village is tiny, and very authentic, with a good mini-market, on the main road (3 minutes walk) - the villa lies at the end of a narrow lane, partly unmade, and with a wonderful view over a sea channel and the nearby island of Ithaca. We had a great week in a fantastic location!

Beautiful villa in peaceful location

We loved our stay. The villa has lovely views and it is very peaceful. The pool is not very big but fantastic for the children and refreshing. We loved the terrace, particularly in the afternoon where you can find some shady spots. The "mini Market" within walking distance had everything and the lady who works there is charming and helpful. The only negative was possibly the level of cleaning as in corners and under the beds it was very dusty and we could have done with a hoover. The villa could also do with some airing. In the bed downstairs you could feel the springs which was a bit disappointing for a luxury villa. However this would not deter us from going back.

Outstanding views- very peaceful!

After collecting our car from the airport (a simple procedure with Greekstones Car Hire),Villa Cyprus was roughly a 90 mins steady, pleasant, daytime drive north, following Bob's (Greek Island Retreats) clear instructions-only one ambiguity, quickly resolved! The journey included a stop at a Lassi supermarket which was fortuitous since after that we relied solely on a modestly equipped, busy roadside shop situated 100yds from the villa- a very agreeable shopkeeper, none the less. We found few opportunities to buy fresh meat or fish locally but this caused us no concern as there were many traditional and good value restaurants in the Fiscardo locality. One could be forgiven for any apprehension whilst locating the property among a group of random, stone and concrete redundant buildings. But, once through the villa's metal gates it was immediately reassuring to see uninterrupted, breathtaking views beyond the villa, across the water to Ithaca and northwards in the direction of Fiscardo. Several paved areas around the pool and villa had been dedicated to follow the sun/shade during the day and had been equipped with loungers and parasols. The barbecue on the terrace had seen better days and was in urgent need of replacement so, regrettably, we dare not attempt to use it. Inside, the villa was simply furnished and very clean.The range of kitchen equipment was dated but perfectly adequate. Needless to say, we would have appreciated a few more place settings to avoid constantly washing up to allow sufficient plates for the following meal. We appreciated the teabags and bread on arrival but how we would have welcomed a Jcloth/sponge and washing up liquid! All rooms enjoyed the spectacular sea/ mountain views and the french windows enabled us to let the outside in at every opportunity. The upstairs bedroom had a particularly spectacular view and nothing beat the early morning sun streaming through the window and the opportunity to wander onto the balcony to watch the mist rising (whilst hearing only the sound of goat bells among the trees below).During our stay, we bravely drove up/down steep, winding mountain roads (not for the faint hearted) and discovered the smaller local hamlets, beaches and coves; no doubt, an even more intrepid experience during school holidays! Villa Cyprus was in an ideal location for us and provided the r & r we needed. Thank you, Bob, for your instant, helpful responses, reassuring advice and genuine good humour. PB & DM!

Fantastic view, and comfortably secluded

Villa had a fantastic view, and located a few miles from Fiscardo. had a hire car for the week, which is essential if you want to see what Kefalonia has to offer. Taxi to town was about 12 euros each way however, if you wanted to avoid driving for the evening. VIlla was nice, and air conditioned. A very peaceful and quiet location if you like to be away from the hordes.That said, this beautiful part of the island does not attract hordes. Villa owners provided a very helpful guide on where to go and what to do including recommended restaurants, in which we checked out several. Some breathtaking scenery and coves only a short drive away. Had a fantastic holiday with our friends , and look forward to going back. Jim and Hazel, Lincolnshire , UK

Stunning views. Rural and peaceful setting.

This was our fourth visit to Villa Cypress. As ever, the view over to Ithaka is mesmerizing and addictive. The Three bedrooms are spacious and there are plenty of shower rooms and the dining/living area is spacious and well equipped. Patio doors from three rooms which all face the view. Wildlife, fab local shop, helpful and friendly cleaning staff and pool man. All fabulous. Bob and Annemarie at GIC were extremely efficient and friendly, (organised our car as well), with no complications. All perfect and we are looking to our fifth visit!

Stunning location and views. Completely private and so quiet and peaceful!

Property was lovely, views stunning and a perfect retreat for those looking for complete relaxation. It's really tucked away so a car essential. Fiskardo lovely for evening meals ... Roulas is highly recommended! Couple of minor niggles ... I think we may have been the first guests of the season as the villa smelt a bit damp on arrival. Would have been good to have it "aired" a bit before we arrived. There were also no cleaning materials such as washing up liquid or cloths although we were supplied with milk and fresh bread which was lovely.

Lovely views, peaceful setting, great villa

After booking the villa, we were given full information from the knowledgable owner about the accommodation and the island. The villa fulfilled all our expectations both in its beautiful location, it's cleanliness, decor etc. The owner employed a very helpful cleaner who also offered to provide meals if required. We were given full information regarding local amenities and loved FIscardo the nearest town a 10 minute drive away. I would recommend this villa wholeheartedly to friends and relatives and would go again.

Stunning views in peaceful location

We had two weeks in this fabulous villa. We booked it through Bob who manages the villa through his company Greek Island Retreats. Bob made booking easy and gave us contact details of the agents in Greece should we have any issues when we were there. We arrived at the villa and instantly wound down. The views are incredible and difficult to peel yourself away from! The villa was clean and nicely presented. The cot and high chair we requested were missing, but a call to the agent and this was quickly sorted. The beds were comfy, and the air con worked brilliantly. The cleaner we had was lovely and did a great a great job, and also answered questions we had about beaches/supermarkets etc. The location is great if you want to feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, but still be close to amenities. At the villa the only sound you hear is the crickets and birds, but a quick 10 minute drive and you're in the heart of fiskardo, or at foki beach which was our favourite. There is a mini market a two minute stroll away so it's not a problem to pick something up if you forget when you're out. The only downside is that the kitchen is small (not a problem in itself) but there wasn't much storage for food, and the equipment was limited-although enough to get by. This wouldn't put me off returning though, as the villa was wonderful, and I've already recommended to many friends!
