We had a wonderful stay in Marble at Jake and Susan’s incredibly beautiful hand crafted wood home. The property is stunning and the home is a true work of art. We were also able to enjoy Jake’s incredible Italian style pizzas on our last night. Highly recommend!
Excellent place to slow down and reconnect with nature
Really great property and Jake was a thoughtful host with great touches throughout a spacious home. Well equipped kitchen and grill. This is a great place to relax, enjoy friends, family and nature. Hike to the waterfalls well worthwhile in summertime.
I got married in Marble this month and had my family stay in Susan's property. It was lovely and clean. Susan was great to communicate with. Oh, and the excellent homemade pizza was quite a bonus!
Awesome
Will for sure come back

Enjoyed having this family! Took advantage of the on-site snowshoe/ski trail. Lot's of sledding and great cozy fires. Great guests and took great care of the home and property. Welcome back anytime!
In Marble for a wedding at Darien Ranch. Our only regret is that we didn’t have more time. If you stay with Jake, the pizza is a must. It really is the best ever! Everything about this property is 5-star!
This home is beyond trying to describe; words don’t do it justice. Gorgeous, peaceful, true craftsmanship, and all in the Marble and Redstone area. Jake is ready to help with ideas of things to do and you have to have him cook pizza for you. We can’t wait to go back!
I have nothing but good things to say about our stay in Marble. The cabin was absolutely beautiful and Jake was such a great host! Such a nice area. Just down the road there is a short hike to a beautiful waterfall! And Jake’s pizza was phenomenal! We highly recommend this place and the pizza! Just a heads up, there is no cell phone service in this area. To get service is about a 40 minute drive.

Thank you for choosing my place for a get away it was great to me you an your family .. i really enjoyed seeing a close an happy family true blessing to my home .. thank you for the opportunity to visit ..
We had a fantastic time here! It was super clean, the beds were really comfortable, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. This timber home is absolutely beautiful and being right on the border of the national forest, the views were spectacular. The waterfall made famous on the Coors beer label was a short hike away and it’s a must do if you stay here! We enjoyed the fire pit at night and both of the porches for morning coffee and meals. The owner made us pizza that was to die for. It has absolutely ruined us for all other pizza! Highly recommend this place! We will definitely be back!

Great guests, would welcome this family back anytime! Left the place clean and respected the home and property. As the first group hosted at the property, we hope to continue to make stays enjoyable. Glad the pizza was up to par! Hope to host you again!
We have rented many mountain homes over the years. This experience was simply the greatest of them all. The home itself is a craftsmen work of art, and the 10acre property is absolutely stunning with views that are difficult to limit in the framework of words, Jake, the homeowner, is gracious and far exceeds the expectations of a welcoming host. My 4 children said "Jake was their favorite part of the trip!". We will be back soon! AND....the pizza is a MUST. High end restaurant quality pizza with a view to die for...get to this place.
Overall we had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful, interesting, clean and as pictured. The kitchen was very well-stocked. Beds comfortable, views great. We enjoyed pizza on our first night. We did not give 5 stars for a few reasons. The check in process involved the owner going through a long list of items- a bit overwhelming after a long day of travel. We stayed 7 nights, did not see a hot tub. To be fair, we did not ask. Maybe only in winter? We spent a lot of time on the nice deck but it did not feel very private with the owner just below and sometimes outside. The owner was not that helpful offering solutions when a storm knocked the power out. We ended up driving to the river, filling a barrel of water so we could flush toilets. Would've been helpful to have some drinking water on hand.

Hi Amy,
Thank you for your comments and review. We are sorry that your stay wasn't 5 star as we strive to be excellent hosts. We appreciate your input regarding the outage and will look for better preparedness if this happens again. We enjoyed having you stay.
The property and location was very nice. We had a group of two families with two sets of kids. The owner was overall very helpful and recommended a great hike to a waterfall. He also set up fires for us multiple nights and had the wood and chairs all ready. We were not able to do the pizza night due to food allergies, but the options looked great!
The cabin is very large with everything you would need for your vacation. However, I would not consider it kid friendly. The stairs are a hazard and there are no door locks on any of the doors, even the bathrooms. The bedrooms do not even have door handles. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked.
One downside is you will not see much wild life. There are dogs that chase everything away.
This was our second stay in this property and it was even better than the first! The home is beautiful and wonderfully maintained, the surroundings are spectacular and Jake's pizza and fun personality made the trip unforgettable! Thank you for another wonderful time in Marble!
This is the second time we have stayed in this unusual home. We all love the large custom built home as well as the excellent location. Definitely recommend this property!
We love this part of the Rockies and this property did not disappoint. We had a great time. Thanks to Jake for his hospitality and for sharing his unique home.
The house is a work of art; the craftsmanship is remarkable. The host lives on site downstairs and went out of his way to be kind to our children. That said, it might be a better fit for people without young kids. The space is very open and sound really travels. A lot of energy went into how we were affecting our neighbor downstairs. Without them, it would have been ideal.
Incredible cabin/house built by the owner. The woodwork is amazing, beautiful floors. Lots of room. Great modern appliances, lots of windows, great outdoor spaces, and the owner (Jake) makes the best pizza. This is a top tier rental in a special place - grab it if you get the chance.
My husband & I had a wonderful stay at Jacob's place prior to our son's wedding in Aspen. Set in an aspen grove up against a National Forrest the location could not have been better. It was a quiet, peaceful respite before heading into Aspen for wedding festivities. The craftsmanship of the home was incredible. It was also very comfortable. Our daughter joined us for one night and wished she had more to enjoy the home and hiking in the area. We also really enjoyed pizza night with Jacob. Highly recommend!
Whatever your expectations are when you book your vacation at Jake's place, it will be exceeded. We had the best Christmas ever. If you are looking for a romantic winter wonderland, away from the typical winter vacation mainstream locations, this is your place. Jake is a wonderful host. He is there when you need him and pizza night is a must. Thanks again for having us and making this one of our best vacations ever.
My husband and I celebrated our 28th anniversary in Marble and couldn't have had a more wonderful experience. Jake was informative and super helpful (and we highly recommend his pizza!). The home is a work of art and has great spaces inside and out...coffee on the deck in the morning, pizza and salad in the open dining room and dinner by the campfire at night...it was a great location for a getaway. Jake also recommended great hikes and fishing which was a huge help. Also, there were ample paper products and a pantry with spices, oil and everything you might have at home to be able to prepare meals which not all VRBOs provide these days-we highly recommend this home! Thank you Jake and Susan for a terrific stay!
The actual house construction was better than advertised. Property very clean, secluded, and all essentials provided.
