Last minute surprises

When we booked a vill in January for a March spring break trip, we were told we would have access to the hotel pool. Not only did we learn upon arrival we would not have access to the hotel pool, our access to the villa pool would be limited to half days. We'd get a morning one day followed by an afternoon the next. What??? Staff were rude and pool service was non-existent. This would be a great property if properly managed. We ended up booked a VRBO for a few days so we could have full pool access without the hassle of the Kierland rules and rude staff.

Due to covid capacities were reduced in the pools. It is a Westin/Marriott property normally Villa guests due have access to Hotel pool and lazy river, I was never contacted during the stay or would have tried to help or clarify. You get the benefit of a Westin Marriott property but also have to follow their guidance esp. with Covid March 2021
