Would not recommend!
Id like to say first off the cabin itself is beautiful. Upon arrival we noticed a roach in the kitchen. It wasn’t huge but immediately we were disgusted. Also the pillows in the master bedroom had yellow stains on them. To be honest it looked like dry drool. The bedsheets themselves didn’t smell super clean either. Our mistake was sleeping on them either way… come Sunday morning my whole family and I woke up with bites all over and they seem to be getting worse over time! Never in my life have I experienced bed bug bites. (Yes we googled what bed bug bites looked like) My whole body is itchy but what makes me even more upset is that we had our 6 month old baby girl sleeping in the bed too! I’d also like to say if you decide to book here please check all of your pillows. One of the pillows in the upstairs bunk bedroom’s had a needle in it! Yes a sowing needle that poked my little brother in the face. I’ve stayed at different cabins several times in broken bow and I’ve never experienced such a dirty cabin. Will never book here again.

Thank you for your review. We would, of course, have loved to have heard from you during your stay so that we could have addressed these concerns, allowing you to have a more pleasurable time during your stay with us.
Regarding your comments concerning potential bed bugs, we take that situation very seriously. We had a certified pest inspection company out to the property as soon as possible upon receiving this review. We are happy to say that they found no evidence of bed bugs in the cabin. Likewise, none of the half dozen + guests who we have hosted since your review have reported similar experiences either during or after their stays. We will, however, continue to monitor the situation.
Thanks again for the feedback
We loved the cabin. It was too bad that the other cabins were so close. We felt like it was just a suburban neighborhood. Also, the neighbors in the back were blasting their music so loud the entire time, we couldn’t hear our own music. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Great Outdoors
Our grandkids had fun playing outdoors. I was not too happy with the cleanliness of the bathrooms. First floor bathroom on the right side had black stuff on the shower floor that looked like mold!
I was a little worried when booking this property as some of the previous reviews said the house didn’t stock basic essentials/cleanliness was not 100% but everything turned out great!
The property was located close to a lot of restaurants and activity. Easy to use directions provided prior to the trip! Thanks a lot!
This cabin is so perfect. More privacy than some of the others we saw. The layout was great for adults and kids. The backyard was fantastic. Had a couple issues with the upstairs bathroom. But no big set backs. We loved every minute and will do it again!

Needs some work
Some of our issues were just bad timing- the residents before had definitely been smoking weed and it smelled awful. Our clothes still smell now that we have made it home. Also, the air conditioner was leaking and we were unable to get a hold of any emergency numbers- all of the mailboxes were full. Cleaning was completed right before we checked in, but you could tell it had been rushed and that not everything was wiped down. Nothing had been done to try to combat the smell.
The fridge didn’t seem to work very well and the kitchen was only stocked with equipment- no salt and pepper or anything like that. So bring your own everything to be safe!
The property is beautiful and it’s nice and secluded at the end of a road. The windows are gorgeous and the hot tub is nice. There a ton of stairs, so consider that if you have anyone in your party who may struggle with that. The slide and swings are super fun! The mattresses in the large rooms are nice but the bunk beds are pretty thin and would not be good for adults. Lots of TVs, games, and outdoor spots to hang out.
Overall, just okay. Lots of things that could be easily fixed to make this place great!
We had a great time at the Across the Universe cabin! 3 nights during Memorial Day weekend and 7 people — we had more than enough space for the bride to have her own room as well as the male on our trip to have privacy. The property was beautiful and we enjoyed the hot tub and porch! Easy to find following the directions and easy to get to from the main road. Will definitely be back!
We had a great stay, the house was spacious and had all the amenities listed. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked well! Several towels available for the hot tub and great amount of seating inside and out for dining and lounging.
Two complaints, the hot tub was cloudy water and one person pulled out “wet lint/gunk” by two handfuls. We all got out and never got back in! We didn’t call the manager because it was towards the end of our stay. We had only used the hot tub once before and were clean when we entered. I don’t see how it could have been cleaned and refilled between guests or no one had stayed recently and it needed more chemicals. Either way, it was gross and disappointing. Number two, it was pollen season so there was yellow dusting of pollen on EVERYTHING outside, it wasn’t cleaned off before our arrival. We would have been happy to maintain but wish the outside patio would have had covers on them or cleaned before our checkin.
We did have an issue getting the fireplace on but mgt came out immediately and were super helpful. Again, we didn’t bring up the hot tub bc it was almost the end of our stay. They were helpful so I am sure they would be if we asked. Would rent here again, but would check things better and speak up at the beginning!
This property was the perfect “in the woods” getaway for our family! We loved the outdoor living space, the hot tub, the fire pit, and just hanging out in the beautiful “indoors” as we enjoyed looking out the many windows that provided a panoramic view of trees, wildlife, and an occasional rain shower. Rest & relaxation central!!! Will definitely return!!!

Didn’t hate it.
We had a good time. Beds were comfy, house was clean, kitchen was stocked with plenty to cook with. We ran out of trash bags the first day though and had to go buy more

Beautiful Cabin
Great Experience Overall. Loved the upstairs area and outdoor fireplace! A few cobwebs could have been taken care of & communication with cabin rental agency was best thru email.
This cabin was lovely, but a little smaller in real life an it appears on the photos. The two downstairs master bedrooms share a wall and doors are side by side, leaving little privacy. The beds are supported by some king of styrofoam base that squeaks every time you move. Even laughing wil cause the squeak. So each time I rolled over or adjust my position I woke up my wife and was fearful of disturbing our friends in the next room. The kitchen is well appointed with everything we really needed for the many meals prepared. The hot tub was excellent and we enjoying our time by the fire pit.
When we arrived the fireplace in the living room wouldn’t turn on, but I called and they sent someone within a couple of hours to fix it. Our friends mentioned that the bath mats looks a little rough and it might be time to replace them. We enjoyed our stay, but would probably choose a different property next time due to the bed situation and the floor plan.

For the price I would stay somewhere else
Not super happy with this rental. For the amount we paid it should’ve been immaculate and it wasn’t. First and foremost I question the cleanliness of the property especially with the current pandemic conditions we are in. Our shower had hair all over the wall from the previous guests, the white towels had brown stains on them, and there was no soap or shampoo/conditioner for bathing in the entire house. I’m not sure they even cleaned it and washed the linens before we got there. The sink in one bathroom was broken and leaking, there weren’t enough blankets and bedding for all the guests, no hand towels in the kitchens or enough garbage bags for the stay (3 days). The property management company who came to fix some of the issues didn’t wear a mask when coming inside, and acted put out when we asked them to put a mask on. The bunk room is right above one of the master bedrooms, so don’t plan on sleeping in. We’ve stayed in several cabins and VRBOs, and own rental properties ourselves, so for the price I have pretty high standards. It was like paying for a night at the Ritz Carlton and getting a Days Inn instead.
Very nice cabin. As some mentioned previously, the cabin needs a little maintenance and possibly a little more attention by cleaning crew. A few items needing to be tended to are; rear door deadbolt, left master bedroom satellite TV viewing, outdoor lighting on tree that casts lighting through rear of property. When we arrived the kitchen trash had not been taken out. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and with a little TLC this place is easily a 5 star stay.
The size and amenities were just what we were looking for. However, there needed to be better maintenance. The dryer did not work right and we were not left instructions that there was a special way to make it dry. Also, the only tv working properly was the one in the family room. The rest did not get the satellite at all and one television in one of the bedrooms was completely not working. Many outside light bulbs weren’t working. The drains in the bathrooms weren’t draining very well and some of the toilets didn’t flush very well. These things need to be addressed. The windows were also quite dirty.
