House was very clean and spacious! Hot tub was great after hiking in Mount Ranier NP. Only 3 miles from the town of Packwood where there is a grocery store, Packwood Brewery (good food and beers) and other restaurants. About 45 minutes to Nisqually entrance of Mount Rainer. Great place to stay!

Thanks so much for the wonderful review, Rob! We're glad to hear the house had everything you needed and that the hot tub hit the spot after your Mount Rainier adventures. It's great that you got to explore Packwood too, sounds like you made the most of the location! We'd be happy to host you again anytime you're back in the area!
We really enjoyed this vacation home! Super clean, good layout with enough space for our group of 4 adults and 2 kids, and the hot tub and wood stove were great for relaxing after a day of riding at White Pass. Will definitely return!
The cabin was very nice! Very clean, comfortable and nicely equipped. We really enjoyed our stay! And an extra shoutout to TMC Rentals! They were very responsive to any questions we had. It was a pleasure dealing with them.
Our family skiing adventure was so much fun! The cabin has great space, cute decor, and all the amenities for a vacation. Close to basic shopping, and a terrific ski area. Bear Hideaway nails all the categories for relaxation and family time. Wood Stove and Hot tub--amazing!

Great Packwood cabin
We loved the location to White Pass for skiing! The beds and linens were comfy. The hide-a-bed is only useable for one child, it’s framing is breaking down. The kitchen is fully stocked. The furniture and layout is family friendly. Nicely decorated. Quiet dead end road. The owners are super helpful, friendly and responsive! We will be back!

Thanks for the great review!
We'd love to have you back again.
(Hide-a-bed is getting replaced soon)
:)
We had a lovely time listening to the rain fall playing games by the crackling fire. My only notes for management would be that the remote/roku did not work even after purchasing new batteries. Very fun!
We've stayed at other cabins for our ski trips, and this was our favorite so far. It was so perfect, that we wish we had money to build the same cabin for ourselves. No complaints no issues. The only small thing was that we had to buy a lighter for the fireplace because there were no matches or anything for that.
Loved the movie selection, too, BTW.
Thank you to the hosts for sharing your lovely space in the woods!

Convenient location
We booked at the last minute (First time renting a vacation home) so when we arrived there were no sheets on the bed or towels available but was quickly resolved with one phone call. We also had to reset the heat (which was included in the arrival directions) but it took a few tries. The house had a spacious layout and well supplied kitchen. The only negative was the wifi-we were able to get email but all access to websites was blocked by centurylink and when I left a voicemail to that effect the owner did not return my call. Nevertheless, had a good time hiking and the location trumped any inconveniences. I would stay there again but book further in advance to ensure the property was ready-my fault-lesson learned.

Wifi is spotty in the area and not always reliable. We try to fix it as soon as we hear about a problem.

Incredible possibilities with this property could be so much more with few small updates.
Clean, great security, hot tub big plus quiet private cul de sac. Upstairs nooks are bright, inviting and cozy. Light fixtures and floors are beautiful. Bedrooms are good. As pictured. Kitchen was satisfactory think cabin not fancy condo. We
ate meals in and supplies were good. Sliding glass doors may have broken seals need to be replaced . Upstairs shower is tiny. Disappointed no direct TV signal dish seems to be blocked by large trees. Little things like a curved shower curtain rod, painted shelve in upstairs closet, bigger tv would be nice, new grill needed, some outside painting needed also This place is a diamond in the rough. But it serves its purpose close to town and park.

Hi Karen,
Just an update on some of your suggestions:
Our sliding glass doors have already been replaced! Yay! They were faulty from the manufacturer and we were finally able to put in new ones.
Upstairs bathroom shower is a standard size designed for residential bathroom. Sorry you felt it was too small :(
DirectTV has always been an issue being in the woods, surrounded by mountains. It's not the trees that are blocking anything, it's the DirectTV service that's not so great. Unfortunately, It's our only option in this mountain community.
People are encouraged to bring their own grill. We supply a small charcoal BBQ grill, but do not vouch for it necessarily.
Hopefully our cabin will not not perceived as a diamond in the rough. We have paid careful attention to detail, decor, style, amenities, supplies, etc. I do my best to provide the very best vacation cabin in the area.
Thank you for your suggestions.
Superb Mt Rainier (Paradise Area) cabin in the trees
We loved this cabin! Newer construction, excellent well equipped kitchen. Quite neighborhood. Wonderful loft on the 2nd floor with great view. We enjoyed the hot tub daily. Conveniently close to the market in Packwood. Highly recommended.
The location of this cabin is really convenient to white pass. The stay was excellent, and an added bonus was some nice cast iron cookware for pancakes.
This is our second time staying at the Bear Hideaway. We love the location since it is convenient to Packwood groceries/restaurants and close to White Pass Ski Resort. The home is clean and in good condition. The hot tub is awesome after skiing all day. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we liked the arrangement of rooms so our kids can sleep in separate beds. We will definitely stay here again if it's available. The only minor nits we had were the heater in the main bathroom and the one in the main floor bedroom were not working, (there was a space heater in the bedroom which worked out), and there aren't clear instructions for entering the code for entry and it never works for us.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, communication
I really liked the cabin's inside design. It was very clean and comfortable. The only problem we had was from highway there was no sign for Grissly Rd..
Bear Hideaway is great for a group or family. One of the beds (in the loft) is not in a bedroom but more in an open space. Great location for visiting the National Park for hikes (we did Bench and Snow Lake and Skyline Trail, both spectacular!) The only thing I did not like were the additional fees and then asking us to do a bunch of cleaning on top of a cleaning fee, hmmm. But it is a nice spot nonetheless.

The guest is correct. The cabin is a two bedroom with a queen bed in each room. The third bed is in the loft which is a common space. This should fit the listing description. We are not responsible for the booking fees imposed by VRBO. Those are charged by the company. You can always choose to book direct. There is a list of check out instructions. None of which are required.
We had a great time staying in this cute cabin. Very close to Mt. Rainier National Park, it was very clean, had everything we needed for our family’s vacation, and the hot tub was a great treat after a long hiking day! Highly recommended!
Cabin was kept clean, beds were comfortable. Full kitchen if you are planning on making some meals during your stay. We also enjoyed the use of the hot tub!
My friends and I stayed here for a ski weekend at White Pass and had a great time. The kitchen is fully stocked, even with baking pantry items, and was great for our planned meals. Good for a small group - we would stay here again.
