New Orleans style charm, older home located in the downtown historic district. Many original finishes with a touch of modern decor. Large open living and dining area with plenty of windows. Warm hardwood floors throughout with private bedrooms. The layout of the house is perfect for a family, but private enough to share with friends or coworkers. Private backyard and pet friendly. Conveniently located to all that Lake Charles has to offer.

Great value clean property

The property was clean and had everything we needed. It was on a quiet street. The AC was cold and the yard was nice for our small dog. It’s an old home, as most are in the area. Exceeded our expectations.

Inaccurate description

Misrepresentation of the property. It does not have 2 working bathtub/showers as advertised. The tub/shower and bathroom was unusable; plaster in tub, windowsill peeling/rotting wood. The property was not clean when we arrived and I requested a cleaning. The toaster oven had not been cleaned. Towels were rags, I requested new towels. Shutters were broken, you could see cracks in the front door, lock did not always work properly. Refrigerator leaked inside and out. Microwave was rusted. Many more issues. The property manager was advised of all the above issues. Currently requesting a partial refund. I do not recommend this property until all identified conditions have been resolved and verified by VRBO.

Our World Series trip

Our first time in LA and ever using VRBO, we enjoyed where we stayed. The house was clean and spacious, lots of books and brochures in the house to help us out with ideas of where to go and what to do. We actually got to meet the house owner and she was very sweet and helpful, they went the extra mile to make us feel welcomed especially our kids.

House wasn’t ready for us to stay in and power was out in part of the house. Just one of those things that happen....Gabriel was as helpful as could be and refunded all of our money for the week....maybe we will try again some day...
