Other things to note
Our space is located in the woods and we do treat the exterior to keep out pests including insects and mice, this is a reality of being surrounded by beautiful mother nature. Should this be of concern to you our space may not be the best fit.
Animals you may see during your stay include deer, black bears, groundhogs, mice, and insects.
Cedarwood Cottage is a cherished older family home. While many updates have been made, some elements reflect its age. We kindly ask that you treat the cottage with care and respect so it can continue to be enjoyed for years to come.
The cottage does not have a generator. In the rare event of a power outage, please come prepared and have fun and enjoy the outdoors. Most outages in the area are resolved quickly, and during the winter months, you can use the wood fireplace to keep the home warm until power is restored.
We also provide shovels and salt for winter use, and a snow removal service maintains the driveway. However, conditions can vary, even though we’re close to Norland. Entry to the home is fairly flat, but we strongly recommend winter tires and, ideally, a 4x4 vehicle for safe travel. Please note that we are unable to offer refunds due to weather, power outages or vehicle preparedness.
Please list all guests when booking, including adults & children. We will cancel your booking should you be over occupancy. We do not allow day visitors. We have a licence and we have to be fair to us and our neighbours.
Pets are allowed for an extra $75. All pets need to be potty trained. No puppies. Please wipe your pets paws and keep off furniture . Even though it's in the woods please clean up after your pet.
When you head out to canoe or kayak, paddle to the right and it will take you on a scenic journey to Elliot falls ...15 mins in the canoe one way. Please put the water toys and anything else you used where you found it. Canoe and kayaks to be placed face down in case it rains! It will damage the water toys if not properly put away. Our cleaner cannot put water toys away properly on her own, so please put away before checking out.

M & M Waterfront Cottage is a great place for my family to spend our vacation together. The place is clean, and the nearby towns are beautiful to visit.
The cottage sits on a bend in the river, surrounded by white pines, and it’s full of big windows, so everywhere you look the view is stunning. The space is well designed and nicely appointed. Beautiful and comfortable.
My family and I enjoyed our stay at the cottage. There is a canoe and kayaks to enjoy on the water. The cottage is cozy with personal touches. Very responsive host.
