Just a short stroll down the quiet dead-end road brings you to a right-of-way path leading to Little Harbor, a wonderful spot for exploring tidepools, wading, or taking in a serene sunrise. The location alone makes this cottage a quintessential seaside retreat.

Inside, the home exudes warmth, comfort, and timeless cottage character. The well-equipped kitchen provides everything you need to prepare family meals or fresh seafood feasts. Off the kitchen is a cozy sitting room with a small TV, perfect for relaxing after a day by the water. This room also offers access to the lower-level bathroom, which features a classic clawfoot soaking tub to help you melt into vacation mode. A washer and dryer conveniently tucked into this lounge area make longer stays even easier.

We had a wonderful time at this cottage. We spent most of our time on the porch, nicely equipped with a comfortable patio set and a porch swing. The beds were supremely comfortable, and the house was clean. Great location, close to everything.

Sherrill’s Cottage

We had a Nor’easter the first 4 days at this charming cottage, but we stayed warm and enjoyed good food and family as well as a magnificent view from every window. The cottage was clean, beds comfortable and kitchen was well stocked.

The best place ever. Cottage is just like the pictures with a priceless view of Mackerel Cove. Sunsets are beautiful. More beautiful colors than than the larger Crayola box. Exceptionally clean with very comfy bed linens. We were traveling with another couple. We loved the cottage so much that we decided to just enjoy it with reading, making puzzles and watching the Cove on our last day. We were suppose to do a day trip. We highly recommend Sherrills for your next getaway.

Dog Friendly Getaway

Bailey island was perfectly quaint. If you’re looking for something a bit off the beaten path, this house is perfect! Being October, the few restaurants in the area had more limited days/hours, but there are options if you plan accordingly. This was our first time in Maine and being able to sit on the porch and overlook the water and the boats was great. The house was well stocked and dog friendly.
