Coveshead. Dramatic waterfront designer cottage.

Enjoy a peaceful stay at this delightful 2-bedroom house in Harpswell. This property offers quiet comfort and water access directly down the steps to the seasonal private dock (from Memorial Day - Mid October). With a bedroom and separate bathroom on both the upper and lower floors, you'll have a restful night's sleep and privacy. Each bedroom has a queen bed, each full bathroom has a shower, all fresh linens and towels provided. Relax in either the upper or the lower cozy living rooms, they both have a view of the water. The upper living room has a propane fireplace. The lower living room includes a sofa bed for additional space.

Stay connected with WiFi and take advantage of amenities like fresh coffee, a hair dryer, washer and dryer, heat and AC, and an iron.

Harpswell offers great eating (fresh seafood!), beautiful hiking trails along the rocky coast, gift shops and a relaxing, laid back vacation. During the summer sit on the dock and watch the boats go by or rent a kayak and take a paddle to explore. If you want to adventure away from the house Brunswick, Freeport and Bath offer wonderful museums, plays, countless food options, outlet shopping, including L.L.Bean or go golfing at one of our 4 local golf courses (seasonal).

We recommend a vehicle for your stay at Coveshead. If you will be flying we suggest using Portland International Jetport (PWM). If airport transportation is needed, please contact us for more information.

Small dogs under 20lbs. are allowed at Coveshead with a corresponding pet fee of $60/day.

Best ME Vacation Rental!

My family and I have rented homes on lakes/ocean in ME over the past several years and this was by the far the best house we’ve stayed at. Clean, modern, beautiful views, spacious. Heating worked perfectly and all kitchen necessities allowed us to easily cook meals. Would absolutely come back again - even in winter/spring!

Sister Trip

We three sisters stayed for a week. It was the perfect location to be back from the midwest and immersed into the Atlantic Ocean culture again from our childhoods. The view is more than spectacular and the dock access to the ocean was more than we had even hoped for. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it to all who love nature!

Waterfront Paradise

My husband, myself and our 3 adult children absolutely loved and enjoyed our week’s stay at Covehead. I actually jumped off the dock into the freezing water twice! Morning coffee on our deck watching the lobster boats and evening cocktails by our fire pit we’re our highlights. Beautiful location next to restaurants, walking trails, etc.. Highly recommend this well furnished and beautifully decorated home.

Fabulous, Peaceful retreat on the water!

The house was gorgeous and exactly as advertised. Wonderful sunrises every single morning and peaceful, inspiring views from a gorgeous deck. The owners provided a thoughtful welcome basket on arrival which was very kind! Bathrooms were lovely! We had a fantastic stay. Even stacking the dishwasher was fabulous given the 360 degree water views!

There were a couple of minor things which I communicatedwith David. If there was one thing for improvement, I would say that the shower water never got very hot.Also, the fireplace remote did not work and it was somewhat cumbersome turing on and off.

Well-cared for property, lovely view

We spent a happy six days here with no problems; we had asked for, and promptly received, some batteries for the fireplace remote. Well-equipped kitchen, tiny dishwasher so we felt bad about having to do multiple loads, and I would suggest a waste basket in each bedroom. Additionally, I would urge people to be careful with the upstairs bedroom sink since the water comes out pretty strongly and could potentially flood around the raised basin. We were very careful to wipe up any extra water.
