WHAT A BEAUTIFUL VIEW ON THE MAIN CHANNEL OF THE LAKE!!! Great location to 3 Marina's, restaurants, a wonderful golf course, fun water park, a sandy beach and park in Kuttawa area and shopping all within 10 minutes away. This charming Large 4 bedroom-2 1/2 bath Southern Style Home has a setting that sits in a perfect spot over looking the sparkling blue main channel waters of Lake Barkley. This stunning home has been there for many years with updates that has kept the old charm with architecturial details plus with added newer amenities. Inside you will feel comfortable in this beautiful decorated home with large rooms so you can have your own space. This is a great place to relax but also have some great fun with friends and family. The 2 lot large yard is good for privacy as well as play. The location is convenient to many recreational ventures hiking at Land between the Lakes, historic sites such Rose Hill museum, the Prison, and Civil War Cemetery. We have a welcome book to help you see the sights as well as boating information and some historical information about the area.

Outside the home there are many extra's. A large yard for play, a screen porch and a beautiful covered wrap around porch. So you will see out into the lake waters at every season. There is also a large fire pit for roasting hot dogs or smores on those chilly nights that you want to cozy up to a fire.
There are about 15 steps that lead down to a great fishing and swimming area. no sand beach more rustic to explore. There are large rocks to have a picnic on or just sit and put your feet in the water. There is no dock but we are between two marina's that are 10 mins. away. Where you can dock your boat safely or rent a pontoon or fishing boat. Kuttawa Marina or Eddy Creek Marina. They both have everything you need for an excursion on the water. Live music on weekends and good food.

The view of the lake is truly spectacular with colorful sunsets and rolling waters. This is not a cove that you see houses across from you. This is the beautiful main channel that you can see down the lake for miles. It isn't unusual to sit back on a beautiful day on our covered wrap around deck and see a Blue Heron, Pelicans, and even a Bald Eagle. This oasis is the perfect getaway for 1-4 couples or A small family gathering. You will fall in love with this Paradise Property!

Thanksgiving family getaway

Beautiful old home

We used this location as a getaway for extended family, ages 18 to 80. The home had charm and a nice location overlooking the water. We had all we needed for a comfortable weekend away.

Solar Eclipse Trip

Family vacation 2020

We fell in love with LBL last year after a weekend get away.. decided to make it family vacay this year and we were not disappointed in the least! We rented a pontoon and relaxed on the beautiful porch and huge bonfires! A very relaxing family vacay with lots of memories made!

Cousins Weekend Getaway

The house and property were quite nice. There were two couples and each had a very nice bedroom with bathroom. It was within easy driving distance of the lakes/recreation and good restaurants. We say more deer that ever before. Great for outdoor enthusiasts.

Relaxing weekend with friends

The property is lovely inside and out! The kitchen and baths are well stocked; the porch is perfect for cocktails with a view of the lake! Games in the comfortable den were fun on a rainy night and the marina right down the road has free launch for boating. A great place for enjoying Lake Barkley with friends!

Charming older home with great lake view. Loved the sunsets on the lake. Only wish we could have accessed the lake. Too many tree limbs and trunks to safely get to the waters edge. Lots of area places to visit and enjoy. Waterpark was a hit for us.

Great Stay

House was very nice. Had extra things to do like bags and poker chips. Wood for fire. Hosts were very responsive to questions. Good location near marina, stores and restaurants. Lots of wildlife. Saw eagle, fox, deer. We enjoyed our stay.

Jameson and I love peaceful getaways. We enjoy boating, golf and campfires . We have been going to Lake Barkley for many years with our kids while they were very small. Staying in old dusty cabins and generic rentals. We just knew we had to have something better. So, we found this wonderful old home that was a fixer upper. We just fell in love with it. We do like the charm and character of old homes. But also like modern kitchen, baths and living spaces with the old architecture details.
Truly, we were sold on the view!!! So, we got to work and knew we had to add a wrap around southern porch. Of course, to have our morning coffee on.
It was all a labor of love with help from our kids as well. We now bring our kids and grandkids here when they have time off of their busy schedules.

So, we decided to open it up a few times a year to guest to stay and enjoy it like we do.
You will fall in love with Lake Barkley and Eddyville. I am sure you will see why we love it! Share the memories in a review on this site. We would love to here what you liked about it.

Why they chose this property

The view had us sold!!! It is one of the best you will ever see on the Lake. Not in a cove were you just see other houses. You see the full view of the lake and Land between the lakes wild life. I guess that is why Matthew Lyon who founded Eddyville and Lyon County had once owned this lot ! It is truly a beauty! Our house has all the modern amenities but yet so much history. You will see pleasure boats but also barges and a cruise line paddle boat. Come stay and see for yourself. We would loved to have you!

What makes this property unique

This property is close to a Dollar General, Grocery Store, Liquor Store, Gas Stations, Restaurants, Marinas plus Golf course, Waterpark and City Pool. You won't have to go far if you forgot something or if you are wanting to get to some great recreation!! Our location is not only convenient it has good paved roads that makes it easy to get you back to the highway.
