We had a wonderful stay in Normandy (first trip there) and Francoise’s house was perfect for us. The house was very clean and nicely decorated with lots of amenities to make it a home away from home. It had a great layout with the bedrooms on the ground floor and kitchen and living room upstairs. The location was very convenient to the sites in the area and close to the beach. Most of all Francoise was such a wonderful host! She was so kind and helpful and happily shared her recommendations for the area. We were so happy we chose her house as our base and happy to have met her. We had no trouble communicating using a translator app. We hope to get back to France and Normandy at some point and would definitely stay again. Merci beaucoup, Francoise!

Lovely modern apartment near beach and close to Arromanches

We were delighted with our stay. All the beaches were within a short drive. The flat was modern and well decorated. The hosts were charming. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby.

Françoise was a wonderful host. The house was perfect for the four of us and a quick, easy walk to Gold Beach. It is also close to a little restaurant and a short drive/bike ride to the grocery store. It looked close to the main road at first, but it was very quiet and relaxing (even with nearby road construction while we were there!). We loved the view off the front porch toward the beach, and also the view from the kitchen back over the fields.

Wonderful stay

Francoise was the perfect hostess and her rental was just perfect! The location was great for visiting the Normandy beaches. The restaurant La Baraka across the street for supper was delicious and there were numerous other places to eat nearby as well. There were some laughs as I didn’t speak French and Francoise doesn’t really speak English but we managed. The hot water pressure wasn’t fantastic - but those were minor inconveniences. All in all - a great place!

Wonderful vacation home near historic beaches

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We had a language problem but we’re able to converse and obtain all of the information to make our stay wonderful. The home was in a village across from one of the Normandy landing beaches and had easy access to a paved walking path along the waterfront. The home was also close to the American Cemetary and landing beaches. There was an excellent local restaurant across the road from the house which came highly recommended by the host. There were also restaurants and grocery stores in nearby towns which could be reached in a few minutes drive. Overall, this was one of the best vacation rentals we have used based on the facility, hosts and proximity to the places we wished to visit.
