Discover the beauty of Bison Hollow's 1000 acre preservation
with a stay at this updated 3-bed, 3-bath cabin located just 6 miles South of Hocking Hills State Park. This vacation cabin, once owned by the beloved John Corby, allows you to decompress in complete privacy by providing easy access for serious hikers to old logging trails that lead to incredible hemlocks, majestic gorges and beautiful waterfalls just by walking out the door. Magnificent birding, frogs singing in the pond and wildlife viewing is available for those who want to unwind on the wraparound deck or relax in the 6-person hot tub. Grill dinner on the upper deck's master grill, roast marshmallows in the giant firepit stocked with wood or dine at the winery or state park attractions up the road. Wifi, DirecTV, 3 Smart TVs, games, puzzles, movies and air hockey is all available for the kids in case it rains.
This cabin offers all the amenities of home with a complete stocked kitchen, 4 separate seating areas on two ginormous decks, fully stocked laundry room with washer and dryer and three bedrooms each with its own full and private bath. Totally surrounded by trees and fields, you can stay all week with never seeing another human or jump in the car and shop, dine and hike the prepared tourist trails of Hocking Hills State Park just 6 miles away.

Secluded Gem

Stayed for a long weekend and this property was perfect. Good location, not far from the State Park, but secluded enough for a relaxing cabin experience.Everything was clean, well maintained, and functional. Fantastic!!

This place has it all!! With 3 bedrooms, each with their own en suite bath, makes it perfect for a family, girls weekend or a getaway with friends. The property was very clean upon our arrival and stocked with lots of amenities. The owners supplied everything we needed for our stay from towels and linens to soaps, toothbrushes, paper products, laundry detergent, first aid suppplies, plus so much more! They even graciously provided a partially stocked fridge and freezer and a ton of snacks and pantry items! The location is perfect! Very secluded with tons of wildlife to watch. My 7 yr old especially, loved putting extra food(provided by owners) out for the animals and then waiting to watch them all devour it! Deer, raccoons, squirrels, giant turkeys and so many dfferent kinds of beautiful birds just to name a few! This cabin is just a short drive to all the local attractions, Old man's cave was probably our favorite. I highly recommend staying here, I know we will next time we are in the Hocking Hill area!

The BEST Vacation House

We had an amazing stay at Chubby Frog cabin. The home is absolutely stunning. Vicki and Steve are amazing hosts. They communicated with us almost instantly when we had a question. The property and surrounding nature preserve are both beautiful. We were able to walk out the front door and go on a wonderful hike. The home is stocked with everything you can think of for your stay. There were kitchen pantry basics, as well as snacks and candy. We can’t say enough about Chubby Frog Cabin. We will be making return visits to this fantastic home. Tha k you so much Vicki and Steve for a wonderful anniversary weekend. Amy and Ed

All the comforts of home and more

The hosts are very welcoming and great at communicating. The house was very clean, beds were comfortable and there were many updates throughout the home. The hosts provided lots of snacks, meal basics, condiments, drinks, soaps and paper products which most rentals don't provide. The teens loved having their own space to hang out in the lower level. They also enjoyed having the large, clean hot tub. Outside is like being in a park. Very beautiful grounds for exploring. The location is ideal with the drive to many of the state parks close by. Great experience from booking to check out.

Family Time Refresh

We came to refresh after the holidays. Most days were rainy, but the hiking was still great. The rain made the creek and waterfalls really move fast. The house was well stocked and extremely clean. Lots of wildlife, games to play, and a hot tub to relax. Great place!

Great getaway

We had a great time at the Chubby Frog. It was so secluded and private. Very close to all of the main attractions in Hocking Hills. The cabin had everything you could need and soooo much more. We will definitely be back again. Thanks again Vicki and Steve for a great stay.

Christmas Vacation

This was our gift for Christmas this year. The property was exactly as pictured. It was probably the most stocked rental we've ever stayed in! We thoroughly appreciated the box fans in each bedroom as we all sleep with fans and had to leave ours behind due to space. Vicki was great to work with and answered any questions we had. We loved the hot tub!! The beds were comfortable, plenty of towels and she provided plenty of paper products! We truly only had to bring our groceries. It was great!! We loved how excluded we were too. It was a perfect 4 day getaway for us!

Quick Spring Break Trip

The cabin was very clean and well-kept. There was lots of wildlife that could be observed from inside the cabin and on the deck. The hosts are very thoughtful in having the cabin stocked with lots of necessities. It is also located close to Hocking Hills. We made multiple trips there during our stay.

Fun and relaxing

Great stay, great place with lots of wildlife and time with my sister that I had not seen in a few years. This was her wish to hike Hocking Hills and we did just that! The stay at Chubby Frog was everything we wanted it to be and more!

We had a fantastic stay at the Chubby Frog Cabin! We spent a long weekend with some friends and had a great time exploring the property and relaxing. EVERYTHING was perfect...immaculate property, excellent layout, and over the top provisions were provided by the hosts, who were also fantastic communicators.
