Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Roll trash can to the opposite side of the street with open lid side facing the street
Set AC to 78° in summer. Set heat to 65° in winter
Place sheets and towels by the laundry area on the floor
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Max 6 cars. No parking in the grass (this includes golf carts). NO fire pits other than the BBQ pit downstairs. THERE IS A SECURITY CAMERA DOWNSTAIRS
NONREFUNDABLE PET FEE OF $50 REQUIRED. ALL pets MUST be on a leash outside the fenced area. NO glass on the beach and NO fireworks are allowed.
More than 8 guests overnight is an extra $100 PER PERSON PER NIGHT. NO EXCEPTIONS. Do not bring more than the number of guests you have listed

The BEST place to stay in Surfside! Great views of the beach and only about a block walk to the beach! Comfy, cozy home with plenty of room for our 5 adults and 2 kids! My grandgirl (12) who has NEVER requested returning to the same place came to me and said, “G, can we please stay here every summer from now on?” We are definitely returning every year for the week of July 8! If you are looking for a perfect spot at Surfside, you should book “Reese’s Rendezvous” all the other weeks of the year!!!

Great location!

We enjoyed our stay here, the location was so close to the beach, the rooms were setup perfect so we could sit all the children and the home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend.

Wonderful for a beach getaway

This was exactly what we were looking for in a mini vacation away from the city. The property is very cute and has everything you need. And it’s a 2 minute walk to the beach! Definitely recommend!

Absolutely perfect!

We rented last minute and we’re so thankful we got this house! We’ve used VRBO many times and this was the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed! The extras provided by the owners was unbelievable and so greatly appreciated! If we ever are back in the area, we will definitely stay at this house again!!

Wonderful place

Great place to stay. The video is accurate. There is a bar near by that plays music but it didn't bother us in the house. Comfortable, well kept place. We enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful Location and Excellent Hospitality

Beautiful beach house just steps from the beach. Location in Surfside is ideal. Home has pretty much everything you could need for an enjoyable stay. The amenities for pets are an awesome addition. The availability of toiletries, laundry supplies, paper goods, and kitchen items (coffee, spices, and bottled water) are a huge bonus. We will return.

The house was lovely, ever was socked excellent. Was kinda of disappointing that Surfside Beach was not letting people on the beach due to the soft sand. But we made do! The house is a great location! We enjoyed our stay!

Weekend trip

My hubby and I had our son and family join us for a quick weekend trip to the beach. Check in process was easy and the location is great. Plus they allowed our fur grandchildren as well. Which was a huge advantage and reason for our stay at this location. Toys for my grandson and a dog run. Plus a stocked unit!

Perfect escape

This was our third trip to Reese’s Rendezvous and it gets better every time. The hosts are outstanding and have tended to every detail at the property. It is exceptionally clean and equipped with everything you need. Our children were finally old enough that we visited the Beachfront Deck this time. The proximity is great if you want a night out of the kitchen or away from the grill without leaving the property. The property location is perfect - it’s one row back from the beach, but still close enough to see and hear the ocean. I cannot recommend this property enough. You won’t be sorry if you stay here!

We love this home! It Felt like home to us!

We love this home! All the items you need from home were on this property. Kitchen to cook in, Large Living area, plenty of room, bunk beds for the kids in both rooms! Washer and Dryer helped after a long day at the beach too. The Kids loved having breakfast sitting at the bar while we cooked! The homeowners stayed in contact with us and was just a message away if we needed them. They were available if I had any questions or concerns and replied quickly! We enjoyed the house, the decor and we can't wait to stay again!

Sweet Beach House

My elementary-aged daughter and I stayed for a week this summer and we loved it. The rooms were clean and kitchen was stocked with the appliances and cookware we needed to cook for a week. I really loved the ability to use the washer/dryer! On Fridays and Saturdays the restaurant next door plays music until about 10:30, but that’s the only thing that was surprising and in hindsight not a big deal at all. We loved all the photos of the family in the home and I could tell the owners created the house with so much love. The way that the home is decorated and designed, you could comfortably sleep 10 people. I had to work a few of the days and the internet was reliable and stable. We even got to experience a brief storm with 50 mph gusts of wind and everything was just fine. We loved it and hope to return soon!

Great House - Terrible Mosquitoes

Everything about the house and owners was amazing and as described. Tons of extra amenities that I have never seen in a VRBO. We also loved the super short walk to the beach. We did have a big issue with mosquitoes. Of course, this is not the fault of the owner, but it definitely had a negative impact on our stay. On the beach we were fine, but under the house, on walks, and at the outdoor restaurants the mosquitoes were terrible. Not sure if it was due to the recent weather, or if they are always bad? Either way, bring your spray. We went through 4 cans!

Great location! Easy & close beach access and a nice bar and grill just diagonal across the street from the house. The house was fully stocked with all we needed and then some. Comfortable beds, AC worked great and plenty of room for our family of 8. The owners were very friendly and the check in process was a breeze!

Relaxing

Our stay was wonderful. We recommend staying weekdays if you’re looking for relaxation, as the beach was quite crowded on weekend days. The house had everything we needed. We did buy a new grill, as the one available there has not held up well in the salty environment. The dog pen at the bottom of the stairs was very convenient.

Hello! We are Randy and Doneane Reese. We bought our beach home in 2014 while Randy was working in Freeport. When his job ended, we decided to start sharing our little piece of paradise with others. Randy is an Electrical Inspector and Doneane is a Lawyer and College Professor. We love to come to our home and relax and de-stress!

Why they chose this property

We love the location, the views, and all of the local amenities that Surfside offers its residents and vacationers. The Village of Surfside is a family oriented community. The beaches are well maintained and patrolled. Car traffic is minimal (unless it is a holiday weekend).

What makes this property unique

Surfside offers many conveniences that other local beach communities lack. We really like that it is a quiet place to bring our family (unlike some other Southeast Texas beaches!). Groceries, drinks, ice, gas, souvenirs, restaurants and bars, there is really no reason to leave the island for anything! We also have neighbors who are full time residents so we have them to look out for things when we are not there. With close access to the beach for walking over, and a drive on entrance just a few blocks away, this was the perfect vacation home for us! We look forward to many more years enjoying Surfside.
