The Skipper is a well appointed beach front vacation home with the harbor and dock just across the street. The property is .5 acres with plenty of room to bring a boat. A boat ramp is within walking distance. The fishing both in shore and off shore is like no other place.
The house is beach front with balconies overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The harbor with a shared dock is across the street. It has a balcony as well.
Kayaks are available for guests to use. Contact owner to get outfitted with lifejackets. A Pickleball court is reserved for your use at no extra charge.
Leashed pets are welcomed on our beaches.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

We really enjoyed our time at Skipper! It's location on the west end of Alligator Point is perfect for walking the beach for miles in either direction. With so many shells to search for and so many dolphins to watch, our time there was so relaxing that we can't wait to go back!

My husband and I was very happy that we were able to bring both of our dogs. Being right in the beach was amazing. Got to watch the sunrise from the dock across the road and sunset from the deck and on the beach. No complaints at all about the house and the host was very responsive to our questions. We had everything we needed for our stay. The community of Alligator Point is nicely tucked away, there are several nice places to see with a short drive. Overall it was six days of relaxing, enjoying the views and having our dogs with us made it a great vacation.

We stayed 4 nights, September 24–28, 2026, at the Skipper with two little dogs and our daughter as an alternative to a hotel in Tallahassee for FSU Parents Weekend. Charming cottage right on the white sandy beach with wonderful back porches. Small in the best way, and still more space than three people and two dogs needed. The decoration is warm and personal. The weathered pieces read as Old Florida, not neglected. The outdoor shower was a treat after every sandy adventure.The people on this stretch of the Point made the stay feel easy. Locals said hello on the beach, shared local insight, and looked after things when the tide came up. That is the kind of place it still is. You feel like a guest of the neighborhood, not just a listing.We biked and walked Alligator Drive, went all the way to the rocks at the point, enjoyed a cocktail and late lunch at the Tiki Bar by the marina, and never missed a sunset or a moonrise. The dogs got sandy and happy. The peace and quiet was the best part with only the sounds of surf, wind, and wildlife. Groceries are about a 35-m run to Crawfordville — that is the trade for this quiet. We would make it again.Next time we would bring a small portable grill. The property includes a very nice standard-size grill next to the pickleball courts and gazebo. We would prefer a smaller one we could use at the back of the property instead.Skipper is the kind of cottage you leave already planning the next trip. Would rent again in a heartbeat.

The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The views were amazing and both decks provided comfortable seating to watch sunsets. A plus was the little fenced in area so we could let the dogs out in the middle of the night. If you’re looking for a relaxing, out of the way location, this place is perfect. There are lots of stairs so be prepared and keep in mind that restaurants and grocery stores are not nearby.

We had a great time in this cute house! It was very clean and well stocked. The location is perfect, view was incredible, with the beach on one side and dock on the other. We loved walking straight out to the beach for a walk! Pickleball was so fun! Loved this stay and wished it could last longer:)

LITTLE SLICE OF HEAVEN

The house was clean, tastefully furnished and the beds were very comfy. The views and proximity to the beach were amazing. Having access to the dock with the covered sitting area was icing on the cake. Can't wait to go back!

I am a retired nurse and my daughter an Atlanta realtor/artist. We along with my son in law purchased Skipper 2020 as a vacation rental. I have personally been in the vacation rental business since 2006. We are from Atlanta Georgia. We discovered and fell in love with Alligator Point in 2017. We feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to acquire this unique beach front property with harbor views and to be able to share it.
