Overall the house was great. Although the house is right on the water, beach access is kinda limited to right behind the house being that it is in an area with a lot of docks. The house is located in great proximity to area attractions and if walking the beach is what you want there are plenty within 10-15 min.

We had a wonderful time at Windwood House! The view is so relaxing and the kids enjoyed looking for starfish and shells when the tide rolled out. We drove over to St. George Island State Park each day and relished our quiet nights on the balcony. 10/10 would recommend.

Great location right on the water!! The host was very prompt with communication and any hiccups that occurred. The kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed. Could use a few more bath towels. We were a short drive from a lot of restraunts and activities! If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, this place is the one.

We had a great time! The kids caught several hermit crabs and blue crabs (catch and release, obviously!) We found several starfish and some neat shells! Went over to St George to play in the waves, but we also enjoyed alot of swimming behind the house!

Pros: beautiful view, clean, well furnished kitchen, easy access, great communication and check in/out was effortless!Cons: older furnishings and no dock is the reason for 4 stars. Even though the description states no dock...it would have been great to have one!

Overall it is a great place. We really enjoyed ourselves. There is still a little work left to do around the place but it would not deter us from returning.The only major problem was a header board down stairs that is angled wrong and you can hit your head on it.
