Gîte de la Fontaine Salée, an oasis of tranquility in the heart of the Auxois meadows.

Of all the magical and renowned landscapes that make up our region, the Auxois is undoubtedly the most peaceful. In this farming region of green meadows and gentle hills, the idyllic setting invites you to relax and daydream. It feels a bit like Tuscany, a bit like England—and yet, you’re in Burgundy…<br>The Fontaine Salée guesthouse, a haven of peace halfway between Saulieu and Arnay-Le-Duc, is located in the heart of the Auxois region and on the edge of the Morvan National Park. <br>The place has a long history. An early castle dating back to the 14th century was destroyed and ransacked by the “Grandes Compagnies” of marauders. A second castle, built in the 18th century, was devastated by a fire at the end of the 19th century.<br>The holiday rental, with a total area of 240 m², can accommodate 12 people. It is fully air-conditioned.<br>On the ground floor, you’ll find a kitchen with a central island opening onto a 50-square-meter veranda (featuring a majestic 3.5-meter-long table that seats 12 guests, an indoor lounge, a dartboard, and a relaxation area), a comfortable living room, a master suite with a private bathroom and toilet, and another large bedroom located in the castle’s former chapel, adjacent to a second bathroom (with a private toilet and a fully renovated walk-in shower). Upstairs, there are two large bedrooms, a third bathroom, and a third separate toilet, where everyone can enjoy their privacy. <br>All bedding is new and high-end (12 beds measuring 90x200 cm or 180x200 cm).<br>When you discover the wonderful view from the house and garden, you’ll have only one desire: to unpack your bags and settle in to enjoy an unforgettable relaxing getaway.<br>A washing machine and dryer are at your disposal. The kitchen is equipped with a high-end “Lacanche” stove, as well as all the necessary amenities: dishwasher, microwave, electric kettle, espresso machine, refrigerator-freezer, wine cooler, and all the essential cooking utensils. <br>You’ll enjoy a one-hectare wooded garden opening onto the countryside, as well as two large terraces.<br>A Weber gas grill equipped with a griddle is available for your use.<br>You’ll also find in the garden: an outdoor ping-pong table, a trampoline for the kids, pétanque balls, a set of Nordic skittles, and mini football goals.<br>Many activities are available in the surrounding area: hiking, horseback riding, and cycling. fishing, the Morvan Rail Bike, a wildlife park, golf.....<br>Towels and sheets are included in the rental.<br>This holiday rental has just been completely renovated.
