We had a lovely weekend in Pippa’s wonderful cottage. Loved the bright, roomy space, filled with every comfort needed. The home is so peaceful and was perfect for the three of us

Everything you could want! Well equipped kitchen,COMFORTABLE beds and plenty is space. George and Pippa were great hosts and gave us a tour of George’s workshop.

Lovely property and super accommodating host. Pippa was kind enough to take me at for a drive around the area to orient me for my daily run and possible trail walks with my dog.Would go back in a heartbeat.

Beautiful House and Grounds in the Northeast Kingdom

Pippa's house is a beautiful space with great light and is very comfortable for a family getaway. Pippa is a great host who communicates really well and responsively. I highly recommend this property.

Peaceful beautiful place to stay!

So comfortable and relaxing at Pippa's place! They are very accommodating and welcoming and the property is very special. The house has everything you need and the beds are great and comfortable! The house is on the road so you can hear cars sometimes but not too often. Will stay again!

Dartmouth Football Weekend

We enjoyed our stay during a Dartmouth football weekend and the dedication of Buddy Teevens Stadium. The owners were friendly and very helpful. The property was well kept and comfortable. We are glad to recommend this property.

Charming getaway

This place is a gem! Cozy, well appointed, beautiful space that looks out onto a gorgeous view. The hosts were incredibly kind and available without being intrusive. We so enjoyed our time, we have already booked a return visit. Very special!!

Cute retreat in VT woods

Had a great stay at Pippa and George’s listing. Stayed Fri-Mon for a friend’s wedding at Lake Morey, appreciated pet friendly and quiet accommodations. Cabin/loft was beautiful and full of houseplants. Would especially appeal to acoustic guitar players as they have a school for guitar making there as well.

Beautiful Location & Wonderful Hosts

It was lovelier than the pictures indicate, which never happens. We were comfortable; I slept better than I have in a long time. Pippa and George were friendly but not intrusive. We stayed for two days because we were attending a class at King Arthur Flour Baking School. I would absolutely stay there again!

Autumn Leaves

We spent three wonderful days here. Reading, a bit of yoga, nosing around the grounds and touring the area’s back roads and communities. So very restful, comfortable and welcoming. Would we come again? Absolutely!

Great place to relax

We stayed for a long weekend while I attended baking classes at King Arthur. Its a little out of the way but we were looking for peace and quit and had a dog with us. Pippa was present on the property and was available quickly but was never intrusive.

Truly a Quiet Comfortable Garden Retreat

The Garden Retreat was just as advertised, a clean, peaceful, and comfortable stay for my husband & I + one adult friend, all of us attending a weekend wedding just across the lake. The space was perfect for the three of us. The kitchen is fully outfitted, the bathroom clean, and the main living area spacious. The beds are very comfortable. When not attending the wedding, we enjoyed walks in the neighborhood, especially down to the lake. A thirty minute drive brought us to a short hike at nearby Queechee Gorge, followed by brunch at Murphy's just off the Dartmouth campus in Hanover, NH. Perfect stay - we would definitely return when/if the opportunity arises.

Charmingly perfect!

Booked this “Garden Retreat” for my wife, dog & I so we could attend a wedding at Lake Morey Resort (Resort has a no-dog policy). So glad we did! We won! The place is great! So are Pippa & George! Late on, our two adult daughters decided to attend the wedding and asked if they could stay with us. Pippa graciously allowed (with a slight up-charge)(. If ever we’re in the area again, this is the first accommodation we’re going to look for - with or without our puppy. (FYI: It’s just over a 10 minute drive from the “Garden Retreat” to Lake Morey Resort.)

Hidden gem!

This location surpassed our expectations. We were greeted by our wonderful host Pippa who was a delight. Not only was she kind and welcoming, she had an exceptional eye for detail. The property was perfect for a group, with every detail and amenity accounted for. She gave us great tips for local activities and restaurants. We unfortunately weren't able to enjoy her property to the fullest because of our itinerary and the weather, but there are kayaks for the lake, bicycles available for use, a ping pong table, badminton, board games, chess, coloring supplies, plenty of books to enjoy etc. There is a washer in the kitchen and a dryer under the stairs which was wonderful after a rainy and therefore muddy day. The location was right off of the highway and almost equidistant between Montpelier and Dartmouth. If interested, her husband does apprenticeships for guitar making! Overall, we enjoyed everything about our stay and would stay here again in a heartbeat.
