A lovely stay!

Beautiful house with amazing pool, spotlessly clean, and incredibly well equipped. Sophie was responsive and helpful. Outdoor kitchen provided much needed shade!

Incredible one-month stay. Impeccably clean, beautiful bedrooms with comfy beds, white linen and black-out shutters, fantastic indoor & outdoor spaces, tasteful furniture and wonderful gardens. Our host Sophie could not have done more for us. Whether it was finding us a professional Chef for 4 exquisite meals, making transport arrangements when we were in a pinch, or helping us recover lost sunglasses in St Emilion, she was super professional, charming and respectful. She and her place helped me make a dream come true.

Fabulous family holiday

We had an amazing holiday! The house is brilliant- spacious with all the facilities needed for our family. The kitchens- both inside and outside are very well equipped with high quality fittings. We used the BBQ and pizza oven several times! The swimming pool was perfect for our children- my grandkids loved it! The spaces in the house both indoors and outside were great for the family to get together and chill out. We all had a relaxing time- walking through the fields of vines, visiting the local towns and villages and meeting the locals. The neighbours were lovely and offered us fresh vegetables from their garden. All in all a great holiday and Sophie is a caring and thoughtful hostess- thank you

Beautiful property with everything we needed (and more!)

The property is absolutely stunning. The decor is really tasteful. The location is perfect (very quiet and peaceful, yet only a short drive to bakeries and supermarkets). The kitchen inside the house has all the utensils and appliances you could possibly need. And then all of these utensils and appliances are fully replicated in the outdoors kitchen, which makes life very easy (that is where we spent most of our time). The pool is lovely, south-facing and with plenty of sunloungers for everyone (I loved the fact that it was a saltwater pool too, rather than chlorinated). All the (very spacious) rooms were beautifully furnished and decorated. As well as the swimming pool, we also enjoyed playing around the table tennis table and the pool table. There are some nice walks to be done through the vineyards just above the house with great views of the surrounding countryside. Overall a fantastic experience and we would love to return.

A wonderful adventure

Our group (7 adults, 7 kids and one teenager) had an absolutely wonderful two week stay in September 2023. The gite was even better than as shown in the pictures (if that's even possible) and quickly became our oasis for the trip. The large outdoor living space and fireplace were absolutely perfect in the mid-September weather, and the gite had everything needed for a great stay (and some wonderfully creative meals using produce from the many nearby local markets). Sophie, our host was absolutely lovely, easy to deal with and full of knowledge about the area. The nearby village of Mongauzy was a great early morning stop for breakfast pastries and our daily bread, or for a late afternoon aperitif at the local resto-bar. The gite was well located as a base to explore the beautiful bastide towns and castles in the area, including the town of La Reole (and its beautiful Saturday market) and to take longer day trips to Bordeaux & the wine country, the Dordogne, and beyond. Overall, a thoroughly excellent experience, that we wholeheartedly recommend, and a truly memorable vacation.

Wonderful Countryside Gite

Massive house - great for big groups with amazing communal areas. We were 13 x adults and 2 x babies. Incredibly well equipped kitchens with everything you could need. Lovely pool and nice countryside around. Sophie was a great host; good communication and very thorough with the check in process. What's not clear on the listing is that the 5 x single beds are actually all in one open room at the top of the house, not 2 rooms. We had to pay extra €100 for shower towels. My only feedback would be that having paid this fee, I would expect a beach towel. There were also no hand towels provided to dry your hands at the wash basins. But this was a small point on an otherwise perfect stay!

Mooi, geriefelijk en heel net groot huis.

Zowel de binnen als de buitenkeuken is telkens voorzien van het nodige gerief . Mooie ruime slaap- en badkamers enkel de slaapkamer met de 5 enkele bedden was voorzien van een airco. Dit was een ontgoocheling want de info vertelde anders. Een geluk dat de buitentemperatuur meestal onder de 30 gr bleef. Mooie grote verzorgde tuin met heel leuk zwembad met wipplank , leuk voor de kinderen. De ezel en de geit voederen was voor de kids een leuk gebeuren.

Quoi!..donner une appréciation pourquoi? Il n'y a rien à dire tout était "PARFAIT". La maison, l'extérieur où on a passé notre semaine, la piscine idéale pour les enfants et les grands bien sûr, notre hôte Sophie un ange de bien veillance avec son accent chantant..ne pas oublié les voisins Michel et Marie-Jeanne Nous on régalés avec les légumes de leur jardin. Nous nous sommes retrouvés ma famille et moi dans cette agréable demeure pour fêter nous 50ans mon mari et moi, a faire et à refaire. Et surtout la literie énorme on dors dans les bras de Morphée tous les soirs. Bravo et merci Sophie pour votre demeure.

SEJOUR D'EXCELLENCE

Le niveau de cet hébergement est digne d'une prestation hôtelière de grande qualité: Accueil chaleureux, cadeaux de bienvenus goûteux, set de produits de toilette pour chacun, literie excellente, décoration superbe aux multiples détails, cuisine principale et cuisine extérieure où rien ne manque, équipements ustensiles et vaisselle complets pour chacune. Toutes les pièces sont de grandes dimensions. Les extérieurs soignés et fleuris mettent en beauté les belles pierres des édifices et donnent accès directement à une belle balade sur les coteaux avec points de vue. J'en oublie certainement. Je précise que cet avis est sincère et conforme à la réalité. Merci à Sophie pour son accent chantant et bienveillant.

Heel fijn verblijf!

Prachtig huis! Enorm genoten met 13 vrienden en 2 kinderen. De communicatie verliep heel soepel, bij problemen reageerden de eigenaars meteen. Echt een fantastische vakantie gehad. Een aanrader om hier naartoe te gaan!
