Extremely pleased with this lock off unit. The location, the comfort of the room the items in the unit- the AMAZING amenities at the property. Highly recommended! Excellent value. Shares the same beach with a certain upscale hotel with much better rates, just saying.

Stay at Hanalei Bay

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First, we paid for a two nights stay at the Hanalei Bay resort but our trip got canceled due to Lala and we could not get a refund on the beautiful room we selected. They gave us a room without the beautiful view and I have to say the room was not clean. There were dirty coffee cups no coffee you have to bring your own and the only place to wash anything would be in the bathroom sink so I’m assuming that’s where they rinse out the coffee cups from the previous guests. The room was dusty and did not appear to have been cleaned very well. It was just for one night so we were OK with getting through but for a resort that beautiful I would expect a lot more in any of their rooms especially for the price you pay.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Hurricane Lala created an incredibly challenging week across Kauaʻi, and we were glad we were able to accommodate you for the night after your original reservation was impacted by the storm. We understand that the alternate room was different from the one you had originally selected, particularly when it came to the view and amenities. We sincerely apologize that the cleanliness of the room did not meet our standards. Dirty cups and excessive dust are not acceptable, regardless of the circumstances, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We would also like to clarify that this particular accommodation is not a condo with a kitchen or kitchenette, so it does not include a kitchen sink or the amenities that would typically accompany one. That said, the coffee cups should absolutely have been properly cleaned and ready for your arrival. It was an extraordinarily difficult week for our island, our guests, and the many people working to keep accommodations operating following the hurricane, and we appreciate your patience and understanding during that time. We hope you’ll have an opportunity to return to Kauaʻi under much better circumstances and experience Hanalei Bay Resort as it is meant to be enjoyed. Mahalo, Vacation Realty Hawaiʻi ʻOhana

This property was lovely. The room was little older than I thought it would be, but nice. The Hanalei Bay was wonderful, everyone was very kind and accommodating there and location can not be beat! Had a few issues and called the prop company and the lady tried her best to help me. Only one caveat was the extra price you pay for fees (resort fee, check in fee etc) at Hanelai Bay Resort. They did disclose this, but at first I thought the property was cheaper than it actually was. Plan on it being way more than what you think will be in the end. Overall, we will be back and enjoy this lovely property.

Had a great time! Resort was very clean and had great amenities including two nice pools. It is very hilly but they offer golf cart pickups for getting around. Wifi and cell signal can be spotty at times. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Vacation Spot

My husband and I had a great time at the Hanalei Bay Resort! Perfectly located in Princeville, all of the sights and restaurants that we wanted to go to on the north shore were only a short drive away. We also watched the most amazing sunset while staying in this unit!

Great view and property

The place was perfect for a week getaway. The view from the balcony was beautiful and the property had way more amenities than we expected. The room also came with beach chairs and snorkeling gear which was a plus.

Would definitely recommend

Really enjoyed my stay here. The property is really beautiful. They have an amazing beach for snorkeling. The room feels slightly dated but the view from the balcony makes up for it. The location of the room is at the end of the property but we didn’t mind the walk and they also provided free pickup and drop off service.

It was perfect I guess:)

Despite the annoying sounds the chickens constantly make at all hours of the day and night, and the 2 AM party next door, we loved it and would come again! The room and accommodations were perfect and as described. Thanks:)

Great stay at HBR!

We had a wonderful stay at HBR. It was nice to have a mini fridge with a top freezer area and a blender in the condo. The unit itself was not very clean (many many dead bugs all over the windows and ground), and dirty dishes when we arrived, but otherwise nice stay with great amenities and responsive hosts.

Perfect for 2!

The unit we rented was perfect for our return to Hanalei Bay Resort! Although it was the farthest from the parking lot, we loved the privacy and direct view of the Bay and Bali Hi!! The unit was in great condition and had everything we needed! Thanks!
Response from VrboOwner on 18 Jun 2020
Aloha Laura, Thank you for the great review and taking the time to post! Perfect is a word we like to hear from our guests and having everything you needed is what we strive for. The views are exceptional and the location within the resort allows for more privacy than others. There are the bell boys on site with golf carts if you do want to be driven to the unit instead of walking. Please come again!

HBR with great view

We've stayed at HBR several times. This unit is a quiet end unit with great views. Unfortunately, the unit is very small compared to other units and does not have a kitchenette
