Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds, gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
*Please text Rochelle at 850.240.4122 if you depart early before 10am.
*Please return all furniture and items moved to their original spots and leave all bathroom supplies for the next guests.
*Wash beach towels & put in dryer.
*Please don’t wash beach towels with white towels.
*Pile used sheets & towels in front of the washer.
*Leave mattress pads on the beds & comforters on the beds.
*Make sure SUP and Kayaks are put back on the stand
*Make sure PFDs have been rinsed and left to dry on picnic table.
*Please rinse off sand from the beach toys, chairs, umbrellas & put them away.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Hi! We’re Dave and Lagenia, a husband-and-wife team based in Houston, TX. We met while serving in the U.S. Army, got engaged on our second date, and have been married for over 30 years. We have three amazing adult children who still keep life fun and full.
We both love to travel—I’ve been to 41 countries and Dave has been to 39 (yes, we’re a little competitive!). And after visiting beaches around the world, we can honestly say none compare to the one in our own backyard.
I'm originally from Radcliff, Kentucky, and Dave is from Rockville, Maryland. I graduated from Vanderbilt University, and Dave is a proud Citadel alum. Today, Dave works in the travel industry, and I work in franchising—so hospitality is truly close to both of our hearts.
We fell in love with Okaloosa Island while visiting friends and knew instantly it was the perfect place to create a beach retreat for our family. Now, we’re thrilled to share it with you! Whether you’re coming to relax, explore, or make memories with loved ones, we hope you feel right at home at the Sea Turtle House.

And in the summer (from Memorial Day to Labor Day), don’t miss the Wednesday night fireworks from the pier, just 2 miles east—you’ll have front-row seats right from our decks and windows on the 2nd and 3rd levels.
