The apartment was perfect for the two of us. We were staying there to be close to wedding events. Everything we needed was there! It was very clean and nicely appointed.
We had a nice stay! This was our first visit to the area. It was close to everything and very clean. Communication with the owner was great! Pretty accurate description of property.
My husband and I enjoyed the homey atmosphere and flexibility when we visited our daughter at college over Easter weekend. Well appointed, wonderful hosts… thank you!
My daughter and I planned a trip to visit the school and needed a safe and comfortable spot and we found it! This place is located right near campus & set in a beautiful neighborhood! It was clean, comfortable and so pleasantc, and I highly recommend it. The hosts could not have been more accommodating and kind!!
Safe private suite in family home, close to campus
Looking for a close and safe place to stay for a quick campus visit, with ease of access to the stadium/Fowler? This is a quiet bedroom/bath/covered porch with table and chairs, mini fridge/sink/Keurig. There is a private entrance. It was a great place to stay for my son's sporting event. Hosts were lovely and very professional and responsive in all comms. Space is perfect for parents or for a parent whose child can also pop over if they want, if just one parent is staying, for a respite from the dorms. The covered porch is great in seasonable weather and you are in a nice and quiet Sewanee neighborhood very near to the Equestrian Center.
I was there for two nights and had my time spoken for in terms of meals and social activities so I just needed a place to shower and rest my head and the stay was perfect for that!
Perfect place on campus for our Sewanee Family Weekend. The space was very comfortable with nice touches such as Keurig coffee maker, and a nice attached screened in porch with a refrigerator, air fryer, and nice sink/bar and sitting area. We enjoyed our stay very much. So quiet and lovely!
The apartment was SO well furnished! Everything you could need and/or want was provided and the communication with the owner was prompt, clear, and very friendly. I highly recommend this location and will definitely stay again when we come back to Sewanee.
I stayed here while at a weekend getaway at Shakerag so I was only in the room to sleep It was perfectly comfortable, convenient location, well lit inside and out, good internet - everything I needed. The contact person was quick to respond to my questions. I’d definitely stay again.
The space can be a little loud because it is attached to the house via 2 deperate locked doors. Nice location though. Very quiet neighborhood next to a beautiful university. Good hiking nearby.
If you’re looking for a cozy location with quick accessibility to the Sewanee campus, this is a great option. The apartment was spotless and easy to access. The host was responsive and accommodating. We were able to Ed visit with our daughter who is a sophomore at Sewanee easily. It was the perfect 1-2 night place.
The property was beautiful, immaculate and an actual upgrade from the listing! The host communicated with me several times throughout my stay. The property had EVERYTHING I could’ve wished for, including a hair dryer and an iron. It was in a very quiet, peaceful street…perfection!
The accommodation consists of a bedroom and a bathroom with an attached porch with kitchen appliances. It was decorated nicely and I felt very comfortable. It is a little dark as there are no windows but the door has a glass panel for some light to get in. You can sit on the porch and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Fireside without the fire
It’s described as a fireside apartment. Fireplace did not work. Pictures do not show that the “kitchenette” is on a screen porch. So if the temperatures are below 50 it’s not very usable. Water at the sink was shut off so you couldn’t use the sink anyway. The kitchenette would be nice if staying in the spring or summer.
It is in a lovely neighborhood. Felt very safe.
We had a small snafu with the date of arrival and entering the property when I arrived, but the owner was very apologetic and worked to make it right. The apartment is very well appointed and comfortable. Extremely clean. It is attached to the family home, so you hear comings and goings of kids, but that did not bother me in the least. The apartment is up two flights of stiars which should be included in the listing for those with any mobility issues. The owner kindly salted the stairs and even scraped my windshield on the icy mornings. I did not have specific check out directions, so I hope I left it okay! Would definitely return while at Sewanee.
The room was well-appointed with a gas fireplace (that I did not use). There is a sink, coffee machine and toaster oven on a screened in porch that is the entryway to the room. This porch doesn't appear to be heated or cooled. It didn't matter to me because the weather was mild. I only used the coffee maker (Kcup).
If you know the area, it's out by the Equestrian Center and great for morning walks in the woods along graveled roads. It's short drive to campus activities.
It has a private bath with a shower, which is all I need. The bed was really comfortable as well.
There are sounds of the family on the other side of the door, but it's non-intrusive. They seem to be great cooks, because dinner and breakfast smelled delicious. Thanks!
Great neighborhood. Nice, easy drive from campus to the house. Host was great to work with. Would stay again.
One minor point to note is there is a good bit of noise from the host’s home which has adjacent wall/ceiling.
My wife and daughter stayed here for a family gathering in Tracy City. The found the apartment clean, well stocked and nicely decorated. The downside for their visit was that apparently the owners have younger children who have a habit of running up and down stairs as well as slamming doors. They said that these slams were so strong that they vibrated the doors and windows in the apartment. Hopefully the owners will accept this as constructive criticism and try to manage those details, especially when renters are on site. Would be 5 stars if it was a bit more quiet.
This beautifully located apartment is thoughtfully appointed with everything you need. It is so convenient to the university of the south and all of the trail systems surrounding the domain. We loved our stay and can’t wait to return.. highly recommend!!
Wonderful host
Great property and excellent location for Sewanee visit. Great hosts. Because the kitchenette is outside (covered porch area) I think it is more comfortable in warmer seasons. But everything else - bed, bathroom, etc. - was perfect for the traveling couple. Will come back...
