About this property

Awesome Wainui Spacious Holiday Home Overlooking the Surf - no pets.

Family group preferred over New Year period. No Rhythm and Vines.

A private modern beach house with an old world charm. Only 6 minutes drive from Gisborne City.

Step from the front lawn onto wonderful Wainui Beach - well known for its world class surf. Ideal for families with plenty of space to move around in the living areas, deck and lawn. With spa overlooking the beach. (Unfortunately our spa is not working at present. We are waiting on a part and hopefully it will be working again soon.)

Enjoy the majestic sunrise: over the rugged ocean on the Eastern side and on the magnificent sheep covered hills on the Western side.

A few minutes walk to the local cafe/bar and a beach store.

Relax with family and friends at night in the sheltered courtyard with gas fireplace / BBQ and pizza oven.

2 outdoor dining areas, hammock and swing chair. Petanque set.
Special conditions:
Please be careful with water use. Rainwater tank.

Be careful not to bring sand into the spa pool. Wash feet before entering and make sure there is no sand in pockets.

Bed linen and bath towels are provided.
You will need to bring your own beach towels.

No pets.
No house parties or weddings are allowed without advance permission in writing.

This home is beautiful and serene. waking to the sunrise and settling in to the sunsets were phenomenal. The only issue we had was we didnt stay long enough.

A home away from the office

Our team of work colleagues booked the property to getaway from the office for a bit of team bonding and planning. It was great to have a comfy space, serene beach surroundings that we could enjoy and connect. The host was brilliant and super accomodating. We would certainly book again in future.

Family Get-together

Amazing property with outstanding, uninterupted beach views. It was a place that you felt right at home with straight away. Nice comfy beds, ALL the amenities you could want and a super cool patio/entertaining area for evenings outside. Spa was great! Even had a welcome visit from a neighbours pet dog. Highly recommend for large families. We had an amazing stay. Highly reccomend ☆☆☆☆☆

Trip down memory lane.

Loved every moment. As s childhood resident of Wainui Beach in the fifties sixties and early seventies, this was such a nostalgic and spiritual experience. Only negative the current obscene real estate values along our old beachfront. Also a few new crass and enormous monstrosities built on the beach front. Should never have been approved by Council. Wainui is a treasure to be guarded for future generations! Otherwise too wonderful for words!

Absolutely perfect!

This was everything we wanted in a beach getaway for our family of 5 adults and 4 children! Really well appointed, lots of space, the beach RIGHT there, gorgeous views, lots of room at both the indoor and outdoor tables, and the spa was great to warm up after hours in the sea. We couldn't get in to start with but then realised the code lock info sent via email from Bookabach did not match what was on the website. We had to be a bit creative with sleeping spaces for the kids as there are no blinds in the lounge area - as we had perfect weather, the sun woke them up right on sunrise! The actual bedrooms were lovely and we made use of the window beds. I was very grateful to the property manager who found some jewellery I'd accidentally left behind and posted it back to me - thank you! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for a beach holiday! Thank you :)

Location great, house needs maintenance

Unfortunately quite a few broken things, dirty spa pool and kitchen, broken dishwasher, front door, bed etc etc and a week of troubleshooting with workers in and out. Cannot beat the location which was its saving grace but for the price tag it’s unfortunate we had so many issues. We got a $250 refund for all the calamities.
