We had an excellent experience. We would recommend this house if you enjoy a peaceful setting but still close to eateries and other activities. Hope to come back soon!
Our family of nine had a wonderful stay! The kitchen had plenty of dishes, pots, and pans, as well as space to work. We were able to prepare meals and eat together at the large kitchen table. There were enough bedrooms to accommodate everyone comfortably. The setting was quiet without lots of traffic. The view of Lake Michigan was beautiful. I did not realize when booking the house that there was no air conditioning. However, the days we were there were temperate and opening the windows and turning on the ceiling fans made sleeping comfortable.
We had 10 guests and we all were very comfortable. The house was great had everything we needed and being on the lake was also great. Parking was tight, we had a boat and 2 vehicles. The hot water could have been hotter. Most of us had warm showers but other that that the house was clean and beautiful and the check in was fantastic. We arrived early and it was ready.
This was our 2nd time staying here! Perfect for our family. Beautiful view and everything we needed for our stay! Thank you for sharing your piece of door county with us :)
This is a beautiful house and in an awesome location! The waterfront view and access to Rowleys Bay was wonderful! Communicating with the host was easy and we had very prompt responses to questions. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, and our family enjoyed relaxing in the large, open living room/dining room/kitchen. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to make great meals, one suggestion would be to have more cabinet/pantry space to store dry goods. It was challenging for our large family to get all the towels washed and dried before checkout at 10am. We enjoyed our stay very much and recommend this house to others.
The home is spacious and clean. It was cozy having a fire in the fireplace in the evening. The rock beach and neighborhood are lovely places to take a walk. It’s a convenient location to the state parks, lighthouses, and Washington island.
Relaxing, and serene. Beautiful view of lake from comfortable deck. Accomodating dining table for meals and games. Stocked utensils, serving dishes. Perfect location for us
We spent the weekend taking in the best parts of door county, biking, dining, arts, sports bar, hiking, and beautiful mornings. Second time we have started at this location and hope to do so in the future. Lots of fun in the area and quiet.
This home feels like home the minute you walk through the front door. The living room patio doors gave a beautiful view of the water and had a table to play games. We didn’t use the screened in porch-it was spring with cool temperatures-but definitely would have had it been warmer. The kitchen was great for cooking in-we did need to go and buy a can opener. As per the rules, we washed the towels before we left, putting the clean, dry ones away and running the dryer with the still wet ones. It was a great place to stay!
It’s a beautiful and private setting along with a spacious house. Loved the large DR table for meals and games. The upstairs was rather warm but not too bad given that temps were in the mid-80’s. Kitchen was well supplied too. The beds could have been more comfortable but then this group is all older too.
The place was perfect for our family. We had an unfortunate event which was out of everyone's control, but our last night Rawley's Bay Resort was on fire which started early afternoon and did not allow us to return to the property. This left us stranded with two kids (newborn and one just over 2) and six adults. Nothing worse then being left without formula for babies and medicine for adults that needed it. Very unfortunate!

Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
No supplies provided!
Very outdated and all supplies including toilet paper and kitchen garbage bag are not provided! I do cleaning myself and those things plus other convenience items are provided. The coffee makers were so gross we had to buy our own vinegar to clean it with, plus couldn’t use the one because the filter was moldy!

Thank you for your feedback. We provide a full range of coffee and tea pods for the Keurig coffee maker and replace the drip coffee maker on a regular basis. We have recently purchased a new drip coffee maker. The rental contract states that renters are responsible for providing additional supplies (toilet paper, garbage can liners, etc.) once the starter supplies (which are there upon arrival) have been used. Starter supplies include a roll of toilet paper in each of the 4 bathrooms and a liner in every garbage can. We value your feedback and hope you had a wonderful visit to Door County!
Lovely property in great location.
Kitchen could’ve been cleaner, but we had it in shape in about 30 minutes using the products they had on hand.
Even considering that, we would absolutely stay again. House was comfy, management was very responsive and the location and property were gorgeous.
We were up for our youngest daughter’s wedding, it was an absolutely beautiful location. The best part was it is in a dark sky area, so in the evening we laid on our backs on the deck and watched the stars with our grandchildren, it was perfect.
This was the perfect place for our family of three couples. Plenty of space (each couple had their own bathroom), everything you need to prepare meals, and great outdoor space just steps away from Rowley’s Bay. This is a very quiet part of the peninsula, but just minutes away from restaurants and shops in Ellison Bay and Sister Bay. We plan to be back again next year.
Quaint, cozy, but large cottage on Lake Michigan. Wooded lot/yard, spacious house with a beautiful lake view of Rowley’s Bay. Peaceful area, quiet neighborhood. Very close to Sister Bay where we spent most of our time. Within 20-30 min drive of other Door County harbors.
Great location and water views. We saw eagles fly by every morning along our shore. Comfortable and plenty of room for 5 adults. Spending days at Newport State Park hiking beaches and forest trails. Lots of fun visiting some of our favorite galleries as we would cruise through towns. We will definitely come back.
We spent a nice quiet five days at the Rowley's Bay home. It was clean and spacious. There is plenty to do in the area, although thigs start closing down late in October. It was nice for families.
We had 6 people at the house to ride the Door County Century and it was the perfect spot for all we wanted to do. We could not have asked for a better place.
We celebrated our 40th anniversary with our family and enjoyed our time at the rental house very much. We had stayed up there on our honeymoon (different house) and loved going back to the area! There was plenty of room for everyone, the bedrooms were large and the kitchen was very well stocked. It had everything we needed for cooking.
If there was a "downside" at all, I would say parking was a little difficult for a few vehicles, but in that location, there's not much you can do about that. It would have also been nice to have a firepit outside in the evenings. But all in all we enjoyed the home -- the view on the water and listening to the waves was amazing! Thank you for sharing your home!
We stayed here with our 3 girls. Very family friendly, beautiful property! Furnishings and decor were a bit dated and internet was sketchy, but the view of the water and ability for the girls to go play on the beach was a huge plus! I was worried about the property not having air conditioning, but it was so much cooler next to the lake than on the other side of the peninsula! The cabin had everything we needed! Thanks so much for sharing your piece of Door County!
