Amazing getaway

We had a wonderful holiday weekend with our family. The view was spectacular and the house was very clean and tidy. We’ll definitely come again!

Perfect getaway location

We spent two nights, which wasn't long enough to enjoy all that was on offer in this location. Suzanne gave great advice on nearby walks to spend our limited time there. Smugglers Bay and Kauri Beach were amazing. Wish we could have stayed there longer.

Gorgeous spot

Such a beautiful spot with stunning views - but wait there’s more - at night time you can hear kiwis calling in the surrounding bush. Magic!

What a spectacular location and home.

We have been to NZ many times, but had not stayed in this specific area. The house, property, and views are spectacular. There are walks from the house or from the close road as well as many hikes in the area. The coast, beach, and headlands are lovely. Parua Bay is about 15-20 minutes away with a nice little grocery store, well stocked liquor store, a nice bakery, pizza restaurant, and a very good Indian food. We hope to be back.

Best of Breed

Te Huia is one of the best places we have stayed in. Te Huia was a sacred and beautiful bird to the Māori and is a fitting name for this house. The view from the deck looking out over the South Pacific was breathtaking. The sunsets were spectacular. The house was very well equipped and we particularly enjoyed the surround sound speakers that we could also link our phones to listen to our music. Nearby are numerous tramping tracks and almost deserted sandy beaches so there is no shortage of things to do in area. Stay here - you won’t be disappointed!!
