Surrounded by native bush, the sounds of modern living are left behind while you relax on your own private deck, enjoying the cheeky bird-life with their intoxicating song, or soak in the hot tub. Located just 15 minutes from the northern motorway, the peace and quiet will trick you into thinking you're on an island getaway.
The studio comprises a whole floor with separate bedroom and en-suite, lounge area and kitchenette. Fold-out bed available on request for an additional linen fee.
Take a walk through the internal roads on this 12-acre property and enjoy the sights and smells of the Essential Garden. When you need a break from all this relaxation, you can visit the many local attractions within easy driving distance: the historic Puhoi Pub is a mere 10 minute drive. The picturesque Warkworth village with its charming vibe and old school shopping, Matakana wineries and enticing Morris and James pottery is a further 10 minutes up the road.

A passion for the healing properties of herbs and plants has resulted in the design and installation of a herbal display garden, creating Herbal Skincare workshops as well as the popular Soft stone sculpting workshop. Occasionally these workshops may overlap your stay (either arrival or departure), however all guests are advised of any workshop prior to acceptance of the booking.

Products made at the Essential Garden include a natural insect repellent, herbal anti-itch cream, lip balm, moisturishers, herbal room fresheners, lavender wands, herbal teas and garden art.
