A welcoming, spacious and sunny two bedroom coastal cottage with large garden nestled on the shores of the beautiful Waimea Estuary on the Bronte Peninsula.
Wake to happy birdsong and the ebb and flow of the changing tides.
A magical place to unwind and revive the soul
A very clean and spacious cottage in a prime but quiet location.
Comfortable Queen size beds, one for each room.
2 living rooms, Smart T.V. etc. Full kitchen and laundry.

Excellent Wifi / Mobile coverage.
A cozy wood-burner fire for the cooler months or heat pump
Easy access and handrail on step. On site parking.

Many of our guests recommend at least three nights to enjoy the location.

The cottage is on an elevated site on a tidal estuary. At high tide, you can swim, explore the Inlet by kayak or just sit back and relax down at the waters edge and enjoy the sunrise or sunset.

Located 6 minutes from Mapua Village where you will find excellent local Cafe's, Restaurants, brewery, wine bar, supermarket and specialty shops and an abundance of art.

The district offers a great climate with plenty to do all year round.

The cottage is wonderfully located and tranquil with a lovely in and out flow. Everything you need for a relaxed holiday including kayaks for the water. Very nice welcome basket as well as a good vegetable plot to use. Highly recommend staying at the cottage.

The house exceeded our expectations: location, view, interior, heating (partially with fan, in the living room with wood fire), kitchen - everything was perfect! Communicatoin with the host (Lesley) was quick, direct and clear, their gallery and art is beautiful.

Ideal peaceful location.

Set in an ideal location with views across Waimea Inlet. This comfortable cottage felt like home from home. Our obliging hosts Darryl and Lesley were very welcoming.we wouldn’t hesitate to come again.

Gorgeous property. The owner left fresh flowers and a generous welcome pack for us. Beautifully appointed cottage with everything you could possibly need. The views are fantastic and the location is excellent for exploring the region. Would stay again.

A really beautiful location, very tranquil and relaxing, and close to Mapua which is another lovely place to visit. The cottage is very comfortable and kitted out with everything you need and the real fire was a bonus. Amazing views out of every window and the gardens are a joy to sit in. Wonderful place, loved staying there.

Bronte Tides Cottage is a very special place with stunning views of the tidal estuary and sunrises. I stayed for 3 weeks and was delighted to find it even had an office room, which I could use for yoga as well as carrying on my business. Sunny and warm when the sun shines, and has a fire for the colder months.

Best Place We've Ever Stayed

Everything about our stay was as good as it could be, Home is well equipped and communication was very helpful. It was the location on the edge of the bay which really did it for us though. The outdoor space, setting and views are just glorious. Would have stayed longer if we could, would stay again if it wasn't on the other side of the world from home.

The cottage was even better than the photos which is hard to believe because the photos were fantastic. This was a true oasis and Lesley was the perfect host. We loved all the thoughtful little touches... 2 x luggage racks plus a luggage bench in each room. The hot water bottles that matched the decor... truly Kiwiana. This is truly a place that feels like a private sanctuary.

Magical property with incredible views

As soon as we pulled up we knew this was a special place. The garden is stunning and the house is extremely comfortable and attractive. Kayaking on the estuary was a big plus. Lesley and Darryl are extremely friendly and helpful, and left lovely little touches that made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended!
