The location is close to both coast and harbour beaches It is a small drive to the beach with elderly parents or surfboards etcThere are beautiful walks nearby, some are steep

Loved our stay! Beautiful spot. Everything we needed plus more. Property worked perfectly with adult children having their own space and plenty of room to entertain. Would love to return sometime.

Wonderful stay!

We had a lovely time at your beautiful bach with our two children and a friend who slept on the couch. Great walking distance to the beach (about 10 mins with children). Wonderful views over the countryside towards the beach. It has such a well-equipped kitchen and we enjoyed the limoncello on arrival. Beds were very comfortable and the spacious grounds were perfect for an Easter egg hunt. Thank you for a wonderful stay and for being great hosts!

We had a great time at this beautiful spot in Whangārei heads. House was in a very quiet area with amazing views. A fully equipped kitchen and lots of games for the kids as well. Would recommend adding a fan as house can be a bit warm on hot days

Lovely Bach vibes

Really lovely back to basics Bach. We stayed here and did the Te Whara track over the heads and it was lovely to come back to after a long day of walking. If you are thinking you could use this to do a little WFH getaway they do not have unlimited WiFi so please note this. Also if you run cold be sure to bring some extra blankets, the house is very warm in the sun but couldn’t find a heater for the chalet. We’d definitely recommend for anyone wanting that classic Bach experience with room enough for a group.

Rural coastal retreat

We stayed at Maria’s house for 4 nights with our adult daughter, son in law and 2 young children end of Dec 2022. Perfect for our situation as we stayed in main house and family were in the chalet. Views to die for over rural valley to the ocean. A very well equiped house suitable for family gatherings. Beds very comfy and wonderful outdoor living spaces. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic Fun

The property certainly lived up to the photos and listings. It was a great mix of rural and an easy walk to the beach. Very happy to have lifeguards at the beach and us Southerners loved the warmer water temperature. Lee the property manager had always been helpful and responsive. Would love to stay there again if we are allowed LOL

Superb Views in Comfort

A stunning property looking down the valley to Oceans Beach. A spacious interior flows through to a serenely comfortable outdoor area, perfect to enjoy an evening. Could not recommend more highly.

Spectacular retreat

Epic gem of a getaway. A well loved Bach which looks as it has been in a family for many years. It has all the amenities you could want, it’s quiet and is spacious. It’s 15mins walk / 2min drive to Ocean Beach which has some great wave action. We had a very relaxing time there and would definitely come back again. With the second dwelling I could imagine it would be an ideal stay for two families. Thanks Lee for hosting us!

Idyllic Stay with Beautiful Views

We had a magical stay at this beautiful property in an idyllic countryside and seaview setting. Oceans beach is within 5 minutes walking or 1 minute driving distance - we walked and surfed there each day. Other coastal beaches of Whangarei Heads are nearby, and walking up Mt Manaia was well worth the effort!! There is something for everyone to do here whether that is pure relaxation looking at the gorgeous view and a good book, or activities.
