What a fantastic studio. Had everything we need and some. We also loved the additional artistic features some of the fixtures had. Host were fantastic and always came back to us within the hour if we had any questions. I look forward to my next stay with them.

Warm, cozy, clean, tidy, amazing views and lovely owners, The Studio was my base for only 2 nights but it was lovely to stay at. The owner, Tania, also a lovely person!! Thank you for my stay Tania, i loved NZ and the long white cloud. 10/10.

What an absolutely stunning studio with a beautiful outlook! Everything about this property exceeded our expectations, from the clever layout, the beautifully crafted and curated art and furnishings, to the stunning view and even the little touches like the vases of beautiful flowers from the garden. It even smelled amazing when we walked in, and then for the final cherry on top we got to visit their beautiful art gallery on our way out…One of my favourite places I’ve stayed in NZ…!

This is a nice ‘Bach’ type apartment with a lovely view over the nearby hills. Inside it was clean and had good amenities. It is part of a building used for art and craft , the ‘frost and fire’ gallery. Unfortunately while we were there the kiln shed next door was in use, which meant the occasional whiff of smoke from the kilns when the wind changed direction, and sound and voices coming from it throughout the first night as it was being used. There are ‘water views’ but definitely in the distance, and mainly mud flats when the tide is out. The views though are nice of the hills, and there is a nice out door sitting area. There is a fast main road near the property and the noise from out does detract from the tranquil vibe. There is a nice waterfront town ‘Mapua’ nearby with a decent brewery pub.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft in toller Lage. Perfekt, um den Norden der Südinsel zu erkunden. Auch die Kommunikation mit Tania war sehr gut. Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen!
